Yellow Diamond POV:

"YOU... CLOD!"

I was INFURIATED at what that puny little Peridot told me. The insult so vivid in my memory. Now that no gem is monitoring the Clusters development or has the backed up information on how it should be watched, I had to make a dreadful choice.

DIOPTASE.

Dioptase POV:

I was zoning out again when I'm heard... Footsteps?

Not again. It was another experiment! I started to panic. Sweat running down my forehead, I tried to hide in my little cell.

The footsteps grew louder.

I knew I had to face it... The face of Yellow Diamond.

The footsteps just grew louder and louder until she was tight in front of my cell. I gave the normal salute, "Y-yes, my Diamond?"

"Come with me, this is not an experiment, this is an assignment. Do NOT ask questions."

This made me really happy.

And so I walked down the hall with Yellow Diamond ready to prove myself worthy.

I walked into Yellow Diamonds office and passed Yellow Pearl as she gave me that smirk again...

Screw her.

"Dioptase, are you paying attention?"

I immediately snapped back and replied, "Yes, my Diamond."

"Do you know why I brought you here?"

"No, My Diamond. Your orders were to not to ask questions."

"I have brought you here to finish this development of a forced-fusion called the 'Cluster', you are the only gem individual that I guarantee will follow orders. Not to mention your Accessible Abilities, such as installing data into your memory. Any questions?"

I was just about to speak when I was interrupted.

"Peridot, cut 185B reporting in for data transfer, My Diamond."

Yellow Diamond waved her hand and said "Yes, Yes... You may enter."

Once again... Interrupted...

"Dioptase, hold the questions for now. Best to get the transfer done as soon as possible."

"Yes, my Diamond."

I walked up to this little capsule and waited for further instructions while the Peridot worked on the machine.

"Configuration complete, you can get in now."

The door opened as some cold gases flew out of the machine. I nervously stepped inside.

The door SLAMMED shut. As those cold gasses filled the machine again, I started to feel tired, dizzy to be exact. I closed my eyes and woke up in this strange area. I was now in what seemed to be a black abyss. I saw something, but it was far away... I narrowed my eyes and saw... A light? Of course, me being the gem I am, I went towards it. The light started to dim, and I ran, I ran as fast as I could go. I reached my hand out trying to grasp the light that seemed so close but yet so far. And out of nowhere, the light suddenly expanded as I shielded myself from the brightness, a gust of wind almost blew me over. When the wind died down, I lowered my arms a bit and opened an eye. I was now surrounded by blank nothing. And then, multiple screens opened up around me. There was one screen in the middle that showed what was downloaded so far. When it hit 100% my eyes flung open as I took a gasp of air. The door opened as I stepped out.

"Data transfer complete." Said Peridot as she stepped aside.

"You may go back to your duties."

"Yes, my Diamond."

"As for you, Dioptase, you will be sent down to earth along 2 Rubies to protect you and another peridot to get you there. Do NOT mess this up."

I was so happy! Now was to prove that I wasn't a useless gem. I gave the normal salute beaming with joy and replied, "Yes, my Diamond."
