Brendon and Ryan had asked to meet at Brendon's parents house. the entire drive there was silent and was full of tension.

"Ryan. don't freak out. everything will be fine. trust me." Brendon said looking over at Ryan with a reassuring smile turning his attention back to the road.

"I don't know. I never was asked to come out with someone before. then again I never really had a boyfriend." Ryan mumbled looking down at his feet.

Brendon took one hand off the steering wheel and locked it with Ryan's hand rubbing comforting circles on the back of his hand to try and calm the boy.

after silence filled the drive, they finally arrived at Brendon's parents house. Brendon let go of Ryan's hand as both of their hands seemed to be getting quite sweaty. Brendon didn't want to admit it, but he was probably more nervous than Ryan.

the couple walked up to the front door and Brendon hesitantly knocked on the door.

shortly after, the face of a brunette woman appeared and put on a big smile going to hug Brendon in which she did.

"hello Brendon so good to see you..." she said in the hug her voice trailing off in the end when she noticed Ryan and lost her smile.

she cleared her throat. "um Brendon.. who's your friend?" she asked basically giving Ryan the death stare.

"uh mom. this is Ryan. a really good friend of mine." Brendon said nervousness coating his words.

"hmm never met him before. come in boys. it's very humid out there. and Ryan's wearing a scarf for some reason.." she said passive aggressively still looking at Ryan with a nasty face.

the two walked inside as Brendon's mom followed them closing the door behind her.

"Boyd, Brendon's here!" Brendons mom called from the foyer. "and he brought a friend.." she said following the couple into the living room.

Mrs. Urie sat down next to her husband on the couch as Mr. Urie looked up from his phone, smiling as he saw his son.

"ah Brendon so good to se-" he began to stand up to hug Brendon, but Brendon just cut him off by saying, "dad can you please just sit down." he sighed from nervousness. "I didn't want to make my stay here long."

Ryan looked at Brendon and he looked back. they both smiled at each other.

Brendon cleared his throat. "mom, dad. the reason I wanted to talk to you is to say that... I'm bisexual." Brendon stated letting out a huge sigh of relief.

"and the reason I brought Ryan here is because he is my b-" Brendon gulped feeling a large lump in his throat. "Ryan is my boyfriend." he spat out quickly to get it over with.

Brendon looked over at Ryan grabbing his hand and smiled looking back at his parents. Brendon felt a huge weight be lifted off his shoulders.

Brendon's parents were silent. they looked at each other then back at the boys.

Brendon's dad sighed. "Brendon. we always figured you liked boys. we knew this day would come soon. and son all we can say is that we're happy for you but we won't support you. we still love you the same but.." his dad began.

"I-I get it. thank you." Brendon said putting on a fake smile. "well.. if you don't mind. we're off." Brendon said still holding Ryan's hand walking towards the door.

"I-it was nice meeting you two.." Ryan said saying his first words of the night.

Brendon's parents got up and forced themselves to hug the both of them.

"good bye boys. Hope to see you soon Brendon." Brendon's mom said walking both of them out and they proceeded to leave.
