Ryan took a deep breath as he got into his car. He would be going on a date with the boy he hadn't seen since high school.

Ryan had always liked Brendon. He just never liked to admit it because well in Summerlin Nevada, being gay wasn't exactly a luxury.

Ryan was ready for this date. He didn't know where he would be taking Brendon, but he figured something nice as this boy had been his high school crush since the 8th grade.

He started to drive to the smoothie hut where he would pick up Brendon after work.

He pulled up in the parking lot and walked in. He got stares because of how nice he looked.

Ryan cleared his throat and walked up to the counter to see the one he was here for looking down on his phone.

"Um Brendon." Ryan said with a smile as Brendon's eyes shot up from his phone straight to Ryan, and his lips quickly curved into a smile.

Brendon slid over the counter and automatically hugged Ryan tightly. Ryan found it pretty odd if he was going to be honest.

"You look good." Brendon whispered as he let go. Ryan was in still a bit of shock but wasn't complaining.

Ryan nodded towards the door. "Well let's go then."

They walked out of the smoothie hut together and towards Ryan's car.

"So where are we going?" Brendon asked Ryan before they could even close the {goddamn} door.

"Oh just a restaurant. Nothing too fancy." Ryan smirked.

The two sat in the car and talked for what seemed like hours. These boys made it seem like they had known each other for years (maybe because they have) but this time was different. This time they had been acting like best friends. Which is something they definitely were not.

After the 15 minute drive, the boys arrived at a rather nice looking restaurant.

"Ryan, you didn't have to go this far out." Brendon said "I'm not that special" Brendon looked at Ryan as Ryan smiled getting out of the car.

Ryan took Brendon's hand and walked him into the restaurant.

Ryan walked up to the counter and smiled at the lady.

"Hi can I help you?" She asked sweetly looking at Ryan.

"Reservation for Ross at 7." Ryan said smoothly. "Right this way." The lady smiled walking the two boys to a table with 2 chairs, 2 menus, and a small candle in the center of the white clothed tabled.

"Ryan. This is too much. I can't accept this." Brendon said sitting down.

"Oh shut up. I've been wanting to take you out since the 8th grade. This is the least I could do." Ryan laughed.

"Yeah but this. This is- wait. 8th grade?" Brendon sounded shocked.

Ryan looked down and nodded with a smile. "You were my high school crush." Ryan blushed.

"So Brendon Boyd Urie. Can I have to honor to call you my boyfriend?" Ryan asked smiling taking the boy's hands.

Brendon smiled and nodded linking his hands with Ryan's. "I would love that. But you didn't need to do all this to ask me." Brendon explained.

"Let's just go and get some Cold Stone or something. Because this isn't really my thing. And I really don't think it's yours either." Brendon laughed taking his new boyfriends hand and sneaking out of the restaurant.

Brendon and Ryan has just become a thing.
