To be quite honest, I can't tell a real difference since the zombies since RE4 are all more or less infected with Las Plagas, sooo...xD

But I think I like the

Zombies

More than the creatures.
As long as they don't have guns. The village people, how I like to call them, from RE4 where okay. They threw with axes and torches and all this stuff.
And the most important thing. They weren't Wesker-like sprinters xD
In RE6 for example you can't even blink and they are in front of you xD
But the hell dogs are my favourite xD
