When they arrived to Korra's house, they got everything ready. Korra checked her phone and saw that she had one missed message.

From: Mako ;)

Hey, good game! I know u have over all the soccer people so i will see u tomorrow. Love you.

To Mako:

See you tomorrow, love you 2.

"Ooooo is that Mako?" Ikola asked wiggling her eyebrows.

Korra rolled her eyes but blushed.

"I knew it! Awwww what does the Lover boy want?" She asked.

Korra's blush deepened and she smiled, "He just wanted to congratulate me on the win."

Just then the doorbell rang and Korra ran to the door to avoid further questioning from Ikola. She opened it and saw the soccer team.

"Jeez, how come you all got here at the same time?" Korra asked, opening the door a bit more so that they could come in.

"I don't know. It just kind of happened. We can park on the street right?" Lexi asked.

"Yeah, as long as you aren't blocking any driveways." Korra said.

"Ok good." Everyone walked into the living room and the get together begun.

After a few hours of constant gossiping and make overs, most of the girls left. It was around 10 and only Lexi, Ikola, and Korra were left.

"So, tell us all about Mako!" Lexi squealed.

Korra smiled sheepishly and blushed, "Well what do you want to know?"

"Everything! " Lexi asked.

" he's gentle!" Korra said, day dreaming about him

"Earth to Korra!" Ikola said, waving a hand in front of her face.

"Hm? Oh yeah!" She shook her head to get back to reality.

"What do you mean by gentle?" Lexi asked.

"I don't know, the way he holds me. Soft and gentle yet strong and protective. He makes me feel safe when I'm in his arms." Korra started to zone out again, thinking about Mako.

Ikola sighed longingly, "I wish I had what you have."

"Me too." Lexi agreed.

Korra laughed and patted them on the back, "Don't worry! You two are pretty girls! Of course you will, it just takes time!"

Ikola snorted, "Since when did you become an expert?"

Korra smiled, "Since I got Mako."

Just then Jace walked in.

"Hey Kor." He said, looking in the fridge for something to eat.

"Hey Jace, how was football practice?" She asked.

"Who is that?!" Ikola asked, gesturing towards Jace.

"Ummmm... my brother..." Korra said, she could see the way Ikola was looking at him.

"Dude! Your brother is hot!" She whisper shouted so that he couldn't hear.

Korra looked at her and tried her hardest not to laugh.

"Same as always. Coach worked our asses off as always." He shrugged.

"Uh-huh." Korra said, holding a hand over her mouth so that she wouldn't burst out laughing.

"Jesus Korra! Do we have any food?!" Jace asked, frustrated.

"There is left over pasta in the back. I'm sure it's still fresh." Korra said.

When Jace got out the pasta he notice the two other guests in the room. When his eyes landed on Ikola they widened and he blushed slightly. So did she.

"Korra, aren't you going to introduce me to your friends?" He asked, forgetting the pasta and walking over to them. His eyes still on Ikola.

"Yeah sure, this." She gestured to Lexi. "Is Lexi. And this-" She pointed to Ikola. "-is Ikola."

He nodded to Lexi and walked over to Ikola, "Nice to meet you, Ikola. I really like that name." He said, getting his flirt on.

Ikola blushed and he smiled.

Korra faked gagging noises and Lexi laughed, the other two didn't even seem to notice. They were in their own little world talking to one another.

"Well, I should be going. It's getting late." Lexi said.

"See ya tomorrow!" Korra said as Lexi walked out the door.

Ikola and Jace kept talking and then Korra had to interrupt.

"Okay, sorry but it's time for you to go home!" She said, looking at Ikola.

She frowned but nodded.

"See you later Korra. Bye Jace!" She waved and Jace seemed to be star struck.

Korra rolled her eyes and grabbed Jace by the ear and dragged him up the stairs.

"Ow! Hey Korra! Ouch! That hurts!" He whined.

"Oh be quiet!" She let go of his ear when she reached his room.

He looked at her, "Well...?" She asked.

He blinked, "Well what?"

Korra sighed out of impatience. "Did you get her number?!"

"Oh! Yeah, and I think she's into me." He smiled.

Korra smiled, "About time you find someone!"

He snorted and walked into his room.

Next day
"

Hey beautiful." Korra heard that voice she loved so much. She turned around and smiled when she felt powerful arms encased her.

"Hey hot stuff." She kissed him on the cheek and he laughed.

"Hot stuff? That's a new one." He said with a smirk.

She rolled her eyes, "You gonna take the compliment or not?"

"I will gladly except it." He said

"So, how was your night last night?" He asked as they walked through the halls to her class.

"Good."

"What did you talk about?"

Korra felt her cheeks flush, she didn't want him to know she was talking about him!

"Oh nothing." She said, praying to god her blush wasn't noticeable.

Lunch

"Are you guys looking forward to the championship game tonight?" Asami asked Bolin and Mako.

Bolin grinned widely and Mako nodded.

"YES! OH MY GOD THIS IS GOING TO BE AMAZING! THE BEARS ARE GOING DOWN!" Bolin yelled.

"Okay Bo, calm down." Mako said.

"Wait Bears? Are you sure you didn't mean platypus bears?" Korra asked.

"No, just bears." Mako said.

"You mean Skunk Bears? Or maybe the Armadillo bears." Asami said.

"Gopher Bears?" Korra asked.

"Just... Bear." Mako replied.

"That place is weird." Korra mumbled.

"Tell me about it." Bolin said.

Game

"Wish me luck!" Mako said, running to the field, putting on his helmet as he ran.

"Good luck!" She yelled after him.

He turned around and winked before he put his helmet on completely. She smiled and walked to the bleachers where Asami was waiting for her.

"Hey Kor! Ready to watch us demolish the bears?" Asami asked.

Korra was surprised, usually Asami isn't really into the games. She said she just comes to watch Bolin show off his skills.

"Why are you so exited?"

"Duh! Because if we win then Bolin gets into a frisky mood and-" Asami said but was stopped by Korra.

"Ew okay stop. I've heard enough." Korra said, trying to get that image out of her head.

The game started and the Fire Ferrets had met their match. The score was tied 3-3, 8:25 left in the first half. Korra didn't realize it but she was biting her nails and was pulling on her hair. She was nervous, she was very nervous. This was the championship game! If they win, then they are the best team in the state! That would be a first one for this school!

"Oooo and Mako goes down at the 57 yard line! 2nd and 19 now for the first down! Will the Bears get the ball? Speaking of Bears, this game is brought to you by the local zoo! Coupons at the concession stands! Here's the snap, Mako's under pressure! Number 14 on the defense chases him down the field! He is searching frantically for someone open but the Bears have everyone covered! Hold on to your hats folks! Mako is going to run it down the field! He gets past the 50, to the 40 for the first down! Oh my god and he is still going! He's at the 30, the 20, TOUCHDOWN FIRE FERRETS! Not a single flag thrown, amazing! What an amazing run! Mako Anderson has impressed us yet again folks! Holy shit! Excuse my language but that was an awesome play."

"Gooooo Mako!" Korra stood up and yelled at the top of her lungs.

He took of his helmet and saw her in the crowd, standing on the bleachers cheering for him. She was hotter than any cheerleader he had seen. He smiled and waved at her and she waved back.

She sat back down and turned to the man next to her, "That's my boyfriend!"

He looked at her with boredom and nodded.

She settled back watching the rest of the game. By half time the Bears had scored a field goal so the score was 10-6 Fire Ferrets. She ran down and caught Mako before they went to discuss plays.

Once there was only 1 minute left in the game the Bears were up by one field goal, 24-21. Korra was on the edge of her seat. The Bears just scored and were kicking the ball. If the Fire Ferrets wanted to win then they couldn't let the Bears get the ball. Bolin received the ball and ran it to the 50 yard line.

"And Bolin will be stopped at the 48 yard line. Mako is looking for someone to be open, he is searching the field for someone to be open. He found Green and is throwing a dart at him, he catches it and runs for the first down! And he gets it, just barley! The ball is hiked and Mako will pass it to Bolin! He runs and is just short of the first down! The ball is hiked and is thrown to Bolin! He runs and get tackled at the 26! Mako looks for someone to be open but no one is! He will get sacked at the 31 yard line! 2nd and 15! They get it up to the 19 yard line, just short of the first down! Now it's 3rd and goal with only 4 seconds leftBall is hiked and Mako is on the run! He had no time to look for someone to throw too! He runs and is blocked at the 5 yard like by a line of defenders! Wait, what's this? MAKO JUMPED OVER THE LINE AND GOT KNOCKED INTO THE END ZONE! TOUCH DOWN FIRE FERRETS! THE FIRE FERRETS WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP! THE FIRE FERRETS WIN!"

The whole team ran to Mako and hoisted him up on their shoulders.

"MAKO! MAKO! MAKO!" The whole school cheered.

He took off his helmet and raised it into the air in victory. Everyone in the bleachers for the home team ran onto the field, including Korra. She ran up to the pleayers and Mako stuck out his hand for her to take. One of the other players lifted her up onto their shoulders.

Mako leaned over and gave her a big kiss which she gladly returned.

"Congrats City Boy." She had to yell so that he could hear her.

"I only scored because I was thinking of you." He said back.

Next day ( the trial day)

"Hey babe." Mako said as he walked into the house, he wrapped his arms around her waist and she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Hey." She breathed and then kissed him. He smiled and kissed her back.

"Hello Mako." A deep voice said.

Mako pulled away and blushed, he looked at her father and smiled sheepishly.

"Hello sir." He said, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.

"You here to take her to the court for the trial?" He asked.

"Yes sir, or do you want to take her?" Mako asked, wrapping an arm around Korra's shoulders.

"Well she wanted to go there with you, her mother, brother, and I will be coming in a separate car." Tonraq said.

"Alright." Mako nodded.

"Well, you two should get going if you don't want to be late, we will be leaving shortly too." Tonraq said.

Mako saw Korra'a face drop so he pulled her a little closer to comfort her.

"Come on Korra, it'll be okay." He reassured her.

"Actually Korra you go on to the car, I want to talk to Mako." Her father said.

She gave him a confused look but nodded. She walked out to the car and waited for Mako.

"W-what did you want s-sir?" Mako asked, trying not to shake. He was scared of Korra's father, every boyfriend usually was afraid of their girlfriend's father.

He was surprised when Tonraq walked up to him and rested a hand on his shoulder, a serious but soft look on his face.

"Keep her safe. She will get scared up there, she doesn't like to talk about Tahno. Especially in front of people she doesn't know. If I know Tahno, he will be giving her dirty looks the entire time, trying to get her to say something in his defense. Please be there for her when she needs you. And today... well she will need you. A lot. Just don't let her do this alone, don't let her down."

"Of course not! You didn't even have to tell me that sir! You know I love her, of course I will be there for her!" Mako exclaimed, he couldn't believe her dad thought that he had to tell him to do that.

Tonraq smiled, "I know son, I'm just reminding you."

Mako looked at him and smiled, it was a good moment between the two of them.

"She is probably wondering if I have killed you by now." Mako chuckled. "Maybe you should go, and don't forget. You will see Tahno and I know you want to kill him, trust me I do too, but we must contain ourselves. For her."

Mako nodded, "Yes sir. I will see you there."

He walked out the door and to the car where Korra was waiting for him.
