Korra hadn't slept all night, she was  afraid. She didn't see her fear as a weakness anymore though, it was weird. she felt like her fear was what was keeping her so brave. Every time Tahno came in she confronted him with boldness and braveness. But she was still terrified, mainly for Mako, but she was terrified for herself too. Hell, she was even scared for Ikola. She heard the door open and was instantly on alert, Tahno had already come in for the day but she was still worried that Tason would come in. She knew he was a part of this too.

"Hey Korra." It was Ikola.

She breathed a sigh of relief. "Hey."

Ikola then unlocked her chains and took them off of her, "So, how's the soccer team doing?" She asked trying to start a conversation. Ikola  actually want to be friend with Korra.

"We are doing pretty good! We have only had 2 games though. But we are 2-0. So far!" Korra responded cheerfully.

"Well that's good! I'm sure you got the majority of the goals!" Ikola said with a smile.

Korra smiled back, "Well... yeah I guess."

"And I heard that you were homecoming queen!" Ikola cheered.

Korra gave her a confused look.

"I wasn't there during the raid on the school. Tahno made me stay here..." She trailed off.

"Oh... well that's good. I guess." Korra said awkwardly. Then she thought of something, "So how come you used to hate me? Now you act as if we're besties..."

Ikola smiled sheepishly, "Funny story actually... I kinda had a crush on Mako and was really jealous... I had been trying to go out with him since freshman year and then you came along and he fell head over heels for you. I kinda got mad..."

Korra's eyes widened, "WHAT? You had a crush on Mako?!"

"Well, yeah! What can I say? He's HOT." She said, laughing a little.

"Well do you still like him?" Korra asked.

"What? No! He is obviously in love with you! I don't stand a chance, you are beautiful and and so bold and brave. Really Korra, you are amazing ! I'm truly sorry we had to interrupt your dance with him..." She said with a frown.

Korra smiled slightly, "That's fine, and don't worry! You'll find someone! You're amazing too."

Ikola smiled and gave Korra a quick hug. "So, do you have an idea for an escape plan?"

"Nope, not a clue. I have been trying to come up with one but I know nothing about where we are... All I know is that we are somewhere in the mountains along the outside of the city..." Korra said.

"I don't know much either but I do know about the house we are in!" Ikola said, "Can that help?"

"It might." Korra said with a look of hope on her face.

They had been up all night finding out who's the tire tracks were and didn't have much success. All they found out was that the tire prints were from a Ford Truck. They had called everywhere to try to find out which truck it was but only narrowed it down to about 7 trucks. Mako was the only one still wide awake now. Everyone else was really tired and not really on their 'A game'.

"I think we should take a break. We aren't doing  any good if we can't even focus!" Bei Fong said, sitting on the couch.

Everyone, except Mako, muttered their agreement.

"WHAT?! HOW CAN YOU GUYS JUST GO TO SLEEP KNOWING KORRA IS IN THE HANDS OF THAT PSYCHO?!" Mako yelled.

"Dude, calm down. We will find her, like Bei Fong said, we aren't doing  any good if we can't even focus. When we get some sleep then we can focus more, and that will lead us  finding the truck faster and that will lead to finding Korra quicker." Jace said, he wanted to stay up too but realized that Lin was right.

"You agree?!" Mako asked in disbelief.

"YES MAKO! THIS WILL HELP IN THE LONG RUN!" Bei Fong yelled at him. "Now I know that you really care for her and want to find her as soon as possible so please get some sleep. For her."

Mako looked at all of them with sadness in his eyes. "Fine. But only for a little bit, we are close to finding her! I know it!"

He went to the couch and  sleep.

He was the first to wake up, he looked at the clock and saw that he slept for a good 2 hours. He got up and walked over to their research. He sat down and got to work, if they weren't going to help him then fine. He would find Korra, even if it cost his life

Korra was silently crying on the bed, Tahno had just left the room and he created another gash on her leg. This one was bleeding badly and she had even more bruises all over her body. She didn't know how much more of this she could take, she wasn't even being fed!  half a loaf of bread was all she has gotten the whole time she has been here. She was staring to worry about  her health...

Mako had been at this for at least 3 more hours while everyone else slept. He had narrowed it down to only 3 trucks, one was blue and the other two were red. All three of them had been at the dance and all three were seen going in the same direction. But at the end of the road, and sadly at the end of the range of all the cameras, all the cars went in different directions. Mako got up and examined the picture of the tire tracks. He looked closely at the picture and saw something. It was small, but it was still there.

"GUYS WAKE UP! I FOUND SOMETHING!" Mako yelled at them.

They all woke with a jump and stared at Mako.

"What is it now?" Bei Fong snapped.

Mako glared at her before replying, "I know which truck took Korra!"

They all went wide eyed.

"What? Who? How? Which one?!" Jace asked.

"Look over here, I narrowed it down to these three. 2 are red and one is blue. And if you look closely at the tire tracks then you can see some chipped off paint. And you know what color it is?" Mako asked.

"Blue." Asami said, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Exactly! And look here, all the trucks are going in the same direction but the other two go towards neighborhoods. The blue one drives towards the outskirts of the city and into the mountains." Mako said examining the video again.

"So you think that Tahno took her into the mountains?" Iroh and Jace asked.

"It's a long shot but it's the only evidence we have. I think we should try to look there." Asami piped in.

Mako nodded and headed out toward the   door, the others following. They got in the car and Mako drove to the mountains, he was speeding but he didn't care. All he cared about was finding Korra, his Korra. The girl he loved.

Okay, so here's the plan. You said that we are pretty deep in the mountains?"

"Yes." Ikola replied.

"Okay, that will make this harder I warn you. This is going to be difficult. You also said that there are at least 5 other people here?" Korra asked.

"Yes."

"Okay, here's my plan. You sneak in here in the middle of the night, if anyone asks just tell them you are here to beat me. And if they want you to prove it then prove it. I can take it. Then when the coast is clear, we sneak into the hallway. We go down to  the right to avoid guard number 1 and then veer off to the left to avoid guards numbers 2, 3, and 4. When we get to the exit there will be a guard outside. We can knock him out and then we can go home!" She said with a smile.

What they failed to notice was that the door had been opened and a certain eye liner  creep was eavesdropping  on their conversation. When they ended they heard a creepy laugh. Korra snapped her head in the direction of the laugh and her eyes widened in terror.

"Ikola, I suggest you get out of here if you know what's good for you." Tahno said, trying to contain his anger.

"No! I can't leave Ko-" She was cut off by him slapping her across the face.

"Tahno stop it! I'm the one you're mad at! Not her! Let her go!" Korra said through clenched teeth.

He threw Ikola out of the room and closed  the door, before he did he yelled at Ikola.

"You're lucky you have a nice friend, I was thinking about killing you. Too bad, looks like I will just have to kill her now." He said and then shut and locked the door.

Korra gulped and stared at Tahno  with fear in her eyes.

"Yo-you wouldn't k-kill me." She said, taking in  few shaky breaths.

"Oh really? Willing to bet on that?" He stuck out a gun and pointed it at her chest.

Mako drove like his life depended on it. His assumption had been right and when they reached the mountains they saw tire tracks going off the road. They followed the tracks until they came to a house. Mako parked the car behind a rather large bush to hide the car.

"We need to be smart about this, we can't just barge in there. We don't know if they have guns or not and when we left, we left in a rush and I don't have my gun." Bei Fong said.

Mako was about to agree when they heard a gun shot fired and a scream of pain. He snapped his head in the direction of the house, he recognized that voice...

"KORRA!" He yelled and then ran into the house.

He ran into a few guards but knocked them out with one punch because of his adreniline rush. All he could think about was that scream and Korra. He needed to get to Korra. He ran into a room and hoped it was the room she was in. He had been wrong. He saw Ikola tied to a chair though.

"Ikola?" He asked, as much as he wanted to leave her there, he had a heart.

"Forget about me! I'll be fine! Go get Korra! She's in the room at the end of the hall!" She yelled.

"Asami, go help her. I'm going to get Korra!" He yelled to her and then ran down the hall to her room.

He burst open the door and saw Tahno laying on the floor with a huge gash on his forehead, the gun was still in his hand but he was unconscious and was barely holding onto it. He looked across the room and saw Korra laying on the ground, she had  blood stain on her left side and was barely conscious.

He ran to her and held her in his arms.

"Korra! Korra, can you hear me?" He asked frantically.

Her eyes fluttered open, "Hey City boy, you're okay!" She said, relief in her big blue eyes.

"Me?! Korra why on earth are you worried about me? You're the one on the ground with a gun wound in her side!" Mako said, relieved that he found her but scared for her life.

"I'm fine! Just... tired. And cold. Very, very cold." She shivered and then lost consciousness.

"KORRA! Come on! Stay awake!" He yelled at her.

"Mako, I'll be okay." She caressed his cheek and then her hand fell down to her side.

"No Korra! Come on! Korra, I love you! You have to stay awake for me!" Mako was pleading  her , tears falling freely from his eyes.

She smiled, "I love you too." Then she closed her eyes and his heart broke.

When she closed her eyes she felt warmth surround her. And she was so cold. It was welcoming. She didn't understand what everyone was shouting about...

Mako's tears blurred his vision, he doesn't know how long he was sitting there with her in his arms. Crying onto her, every tear being consumed in her blood when it fell. Mako remembered who did this and snapped his head in the direction Tahno was. Tahno had just woked up.

"YOU! YOU DID THIS!" Mako yelled at him. He got up and walked over to Tahno and picked him up by the collar. "You're dead meat!" He started to punch him and Tahno quickly went unconscious, Mako felt tears streaming down his face but he didn't care. Someone pulled Mako away from Tahno.

"Mako, we need to get Korra to a hospital. Don't worry Tahno is going to jail. He won't hurt her anymore." Jace said.

Mako got up and carefully picked Korra up. She felt so weak in his arms, she didn't weigh anything, she was so light. He walked to the car and sat down in the back, Korra still resting in his arms.

He looked down at her and his tears fell onto her body.

"I'm sorry Korra. I was too late. This is all my fault..." He cried, sobs shaking his body.

They arrived at the hospital and some nurses rushed Korra away from Mako. He doesn't really remember what happened, it was all a blur. All he remember was the blood. So much blood. And it was all Korra's. And he remember the heart breaking feeling when they took her from him.

He sat by her side the whole time she slept. He was going to be here when she woke up. He was going to tell her that he loved her as soon as she woke up. Bolin and Asami came in trying  to get him to take a shower or have a decent meal, he just brushed them off and went back  waiting for Korra to wake up.

"Mako! When she wakes do you think she will want to see you like this?! Do you think she will want to see the man she loves in that  condition?! No! Now go get a shower and get something to eat! She will still be here when you get back! It's been a week Mako, you need to take a shower and eat an actual meal!" Asami yelled at him.

"I have eaten!" He snapped at her.

"Mako, a bowl of cereal yesterday morning doesn't count. You need real food. Please, for Korra, just go get something. We can't have you getting sick! Korra will need you when she wake up!" Asami tried to reason with him.

He got up reluctantly and went home to take a shower. He ate a huge meal and then high tailed it back to the hospital. Asami had been right, Korra was still there. She hadn't woken up, hadn't even moved.

Bolin came into the room to check up on Mako.

"Hey Bro, how are you doing?" He asked hesitantly.

"Terrible. She won't wake up Bo! I don't know why! She needs to wake up, she just has to!" He yelled, tears stinging his eyes once again.

Bolin patted him on the back, "Bro, it's okay. She'll wake up, she's Korra! Maybe today's the day, maybe in a few hours she will wake up."

"I hope so..." Mako said, staring at her rising and falling chest. Her shallow breathing was the only reason he knew she was still alive. "I will be here when she does, I will wait for her. I don't care how long it takes. I'm not leaving her again."

Bolin only sighed, he gave Mako a hug and then walked out of the room.

He reached out and held her hand, all he wanted was for her to squeeze it back. He wanted to see her big blue eyes looking back at him. He wanted to tell her he loved her again, he wanted to kiss her until he couldn't anymore. He wanted to see all the love and emotion in her bright orbs. He just needed her to wake up.

He caressed her cheek and leaned down to kiss her forehead. "I love you so much." He whispered in her ear.

Oh no! Korra is in the hospital! What will happen when she wakes up?
