the ark stood high white marble glistened in the morning sun the doors wide open for anyone and everyone people flooded the entrance and soon formed a line reaching out for miles the line consisted of family's or close friend groups and in every family or group there was at least one twelve year old.

a twelve year old who was going to face either death or a quick painless experience.

the lines where miles long  and all of them had one combined destination, it was the twelve portals made by the gods for the people, all of them where waiting to send there twelve year old's through one of those portals even if they didn't want to they where practically forced to do it.

people where forced to stand in a line for hours in the sun heat blistering the skin and the emotions of leading your child that you raised into a practical death trap determined by your luck was not something people could shrug off.

the people in the back of the line suffer the most since the waiting was killing them inside out but yet even if the heat was blazing and the emotions got the better of them the family's of the children still got to spend there time with the child before sending them away for who knows how long.

and for tommy he would definitely prefer being in the back because as he stood there going closer and closer to the swirling purple he couldn't stop thinking about needing more time with the ones he loved.

"im scared" the young boy whispered and a hand on his shoulders and the voice of his best friend reassured him.

"I went through the same prosses, and you even remember how i got lucky with it i doubt it will be any different for you" Tubbo said with a smile yet the smile had cracks in them showing the concern the other had, the same concern tommy had.

you got lucky but what about me??

"Well easy for you to say i have a father that went through the longest sentence ever given out" Tommy jokingly whispered to his best friend.

and suddenly the chatting behind him stopped.

"you know i can hear you right?" Phil voice rung out behind.

"Ok how about this, if i live out there more than one years i get my disks back and Wilbur has to do the laundry instead of me  " Tommy replied with a big naïve smile.

"Hey lets not get over ourselves now tommy you wouldn't even survive a week out there hell not even half a year ill do it if you get over a week and you survive, yeah?" Wilbur jokingly mocked the younger 

tommy rolled his eyes, Wilbur already knew that the usual sentence is around two days and the rare occasions max four weeks out there, of course here where people like philza the mighty that got a sentence for 2 years and if he wasn't on the headline news for a year of how rare that is, a one in a quadrillion happened ever once before philza.

the line moved around ten people forward by the last fifteen minuets.

"Wilbur stop mocking your younger brother just look at him he is scared can you see?" Techno joined in on the mocking there smiles bright on there faces yet there eyes where scared.

"okkkkay stop that you two were almost at the front, so say your pre written goodbyes to tommy before he leaves" Phil states looking at Wilbur and techno with a fond gaze, there mocking expressions fell in a hurry as they look at there father it shame.

"Ummmm, we didn't wright anything?" Wilbur said, Phil looked annoyed at that but just rolled his eyes.

"Just make something up" he said as a final statement leaving Wilbur and techno alone in the spotlight.

"um okay tommy, hope i see you don't die and love you oh and watch out for creepers and become the mole you always been yada yada,, um caves are shitty to get through, and remember the videos we showed you of our experience, k?- Okay Wilbur your turn I'm out of hear" techno said and moved to the side to go to Phil and yell at him.

Wilbur snickered for a moment and tommy really thought that Wilbur would do something like techno did but Wilbur's expression fell as soon as the others turned away and soon he was crouched down being at the same eye line as Tommy's looking him in the eyes.

"Tommy- Wilbur said in a soft and gentle tone reaching out for the youngers face and holding tommy in his palm Wilbur's eyes where soft and caring as he looked at tommy- i doubt that you will get anything more than a week but still i need to say this before you get your time.

i know that  me and techno always joke about you getting killed but trust me on my words, we all have so much faith in you even if its for a week that you wont be with us we will miss you so much and trust me when i say this every moment that you are gone we will think about you

i know this is scarry and all but once you spent your time there you will be back to us back to your family and nothing will bother us ever again you wont have to train and we can finally all be happy,

just remember do the bare necessary get wood and i know you love cows but lather and  dig yourself a hole, if there's a village stay the night in one of there homes remember to block out every window and door before the sun even sets you will need to be in a house get the cobblestone food and a torch and wait it out

do the bare minimum and stay in that hole or house wait it out the nights get scarry, sleep it out even if you need to sleep on the floor and never go out into the night

looking into Wilbur's eyes he saw tears streaming down the others face a soft smile was on Wilbur's face as he looked at tommy with a smile.

the line moved again and in two turns it will be his turn to get his time and enter the unforgiving world.

"Hey man i hope you the best if i the stupid kid survived no doubt you will to" Tubbo said with a smile and soon they where submerged in a tight grip the moment didn't last long because the line moved again.

and tommy promises that the line is moving faster than ever the purple  swirls are doing it too the tension gets heavier with each step closer to the portal closer to the guards giving out the time.

soon there in the front Phil next to his side leading tommy forward to the guard the family in front where crying loudly that it was unfair that there son got a week time in there but reluctantly they let it go and there son was walking through that portal without a second glance back slowly the two parents where walking away slow but instead of going they stopped up next to techno Wilbur and the others and watched on with hopeful gazes as tommy and Phil came up to the guards.

Phil stood a bit back as tommy and the guard had the conversation 

"State your full name and age"

"Tommy ines age twelve"

"and you know about the rules and the permanent death right?"

a nod came from the younger 

"In that case you can give me your dominate hand" the guard asked and tommy compiled

"This might hurt a bit" he said before grabbing   Tommy's arm and suddenly as if something burning tommy saw a green ember emit and for on his arm as numbers began to appear, it began with a number one then came the number five after it then a sever and that's all they expected a three digit number but it continued with a seven then a six and by that point tommy began to sweat and his breath quickened eyes became blurry then after the six came a number eight by that point the guards grip loosened and then a one the guard let go of Tommy's arm as the last number got engraved into his skin a two.

Tommy's teary eyes met the guards shocked ones.

"1576812 minuets a total of three years and twelve minuets." 

that is when tommy thought chaos would ensue for Phil to shout out a denial scream for Wilbur to shout for something to happen to change but instead it was quiet as if the world went slack.

"Have your last words, ill allow you to stay for a minuet then you will have to go, its the least i can do " the guard said with pity in his eyes.

then he looked over to his family and he saw them all crying even the heartless techno had tears in his eyes, he looked at Phil just before he was enveloped into a tight hug by his father.

"Go into the caves serch for diamonds and create the crafting recipe book with a book a quill a Dimond and  ink ill show you the recipes for all the craft able things  then find a village with the villager in purple he will trade you the book for a guide book, use it" and with one last hug Phil let go.

"Its time I'm sorry" the guard spoke up, with a nod a smile became apparent on his face as he turned to the others.

"Love you all don't miss me too much your going to be sorry in that case for when i come back" Tommy shouted one last time to his family as he turned around and walked through the portal all alone leaving behind a shocked but happy family behind.
