Caleb POV

"Dad!" I screamed as I felt another horrible pain shoot through my heart. Three weeks, it's been three weeks since Adin rejected me and I can't seem to feel anything but the pain. Raja is going insane more and more each day. I haven't been able to get out of bed much, I hardly eat and I haven't been to school since that day.

Dad has been trying to do whatever he can to help with the pain but nothing he does helps.

"I know kiddo, I know. I think you need to get away for awhile. Your pop called Julian and he said you can go there and live with them for a while, at least until you don't feel it so much. We think since you have a God as a shifter animal you feel that your mate is still around even if they aren't here. If you maybe put distance between you both, you may be able to start to feel better. Danny said when he was rejected he didn't feel it as bad as you are and he said it's probably because he and his mate weren't in the same area. When he moved out to Oregon, the pain was still there but as a minor ache and he managed to get better. I don't want you to go kiddo goodness I don't but I also don't want you to suffer and possibly die because of the pain. I hate seeing you so broken, lifeless. I love you, I don't want anything to happen to you." God the thought of not being close to dad doesn't sit well with me, not having separation anxiety from him. I won't be able to handle that, not after everything.

I started breathing fast and dad cupped my cheeks and looked into my eyes and breathed in and out slowly, waiting for me to do the same, just like always when I would feel my anxiety start.

"I can't dad, I can't go, not without you. I won't be able to handle that, not with this pain." I choked on my sobs as he held me tight.

"I know baby, I know. I just don't know what else to do to save your life. I can't lose you, you and me against the world, remember? Well it can't be you and me without you. I can always come see you with pops necklace, we can face time daily, we can call and text daily, anything to show you I'm ok. I'm safe now, nothing is going to happen to me, not again. I haven't been back to work in a long time to put myself in a situation like that again. Your siblings take up a lot of my time so I'm home, I'm safe and alive. I just need you to be safe and alive, not in pain and Raja, needs to start to heal so you can start to calm down your emotions. You can take anything of mine with my scent on it to help also. Take photos, our scrap book we made, not the one we're doing now though, it's not done. Also if you want for a few weeks, Ronnie if it's ok can go with you but not for the whole time you're there, just a few weeks to help you with the separation. If at any time you want to see me or need me, let me know. I have pops necklace so I'm just a snap of the fingers away." He said without blinking or looking away from my eyes.

"You promise?" I asked like a little kid but I feel like one right now, feeling like I need my dad more than ever.

"I promise." He said and I nodded and he smiled softly at me.

"Ok, I will call Julian and tell him. Whenever you're packed, I will take you, help you settle in and Ronnie, I still need to speak to Weston but I'm sure it won't be a problem. They get home schooled so he won't need to worry about the school when Ronnie does his work online. You let me worry about that and go take a shower, I'll be back in a little bit to help you pack. I love you, always." Dad kissed my cheek and walked out of my room.

"We'll get through this Raja, one day at a time. Maybe distance from Adin will do us some good."

"Dad has a point, being here being able to still feel Chidike is painful. He didn't want Adin to reject us, he told me himself in our sleep one night, the only night we have talked. Some distance may be the thing we need Caleb. I'm here with you to help you with dad, but you have nothing to worry about, he is fine. You aren't, we aren't." Raja said as I showered. I nodded and just stood under the water and relaxed as best I could.

"Ok I think I got everything you need packed." Dad said when I walked into my room from my bathroom.

"No you don't." I went to my shelf of our memories and picked up the very first stuffed animal he bought me. He chuckled and took it from me.

"This thing has been through hell." He laughed as he looked at the small tiger, ironically.

"Yea but so have we and look at us now." I said and hugged him.

"I agree. We will get you through this kiddo, one day at a time. If you meet someone, date them, enjoy your life, move on and heal your heart. You can form bonds with anyone, just look at your pops family and us. I just want you to be happy, that's all I have ever wanted for you and if you meet someone and are happy, make something of it with them." He said seriously so I knew he wasn't just telling me this to make me feel better.

"If it happens I won't not move on, I just need to get over the rejection and this pain before anything else."

"I know, I'm just saying, be happy for yourself, not for anyone else. I talked to Weston about Ronnie going and he agreed and said only for a few weeks just like I said so he should be ready so go say goodbye to everyone and we'll go. I will contact the school and have them transfer you to the school there and I also sent Julian videos of you playing soccer, apparently their captain broke his leg, he's human so he will be out for a while and the co captain doesn't really care about the game so Julian is going to talk to the coach about you joining the team. Also make sure you call your team and tell them you had to go out of town for a while and appoint a new captain." Dad and his bossy self, gotta love him.

"Yes dad I know and I will and ok, that sounds good. I miss playing so maybe being on the field will do me some good also." I said and we walked out of my room and went into the nursery where my triplet siblings were playing on the floor and sat next to Tobias. The little guy is laying on his belly trying to crawl and Gabrielle is sitting up on her own just like Ethan. I smile at them as they clap their hands and squeal loudly. I picked all three of them up and held them in my lap as I just looked at them.

They have come a long way since they were born and to this day and probably forever I will always blame myself for their suffering, for the fighting and strain on dad and his bonds with his mates, granted things are ok now but it's a regret I'll always have. I kissed their cheeks and foreheads and hugged them gently.

"I love you babies, so much. Be good for dad, he's a pretty great dad." I said and they slapped my cheeks and nose softly and I chuckled.

"I will miss you all so much, I'll be home before you know it. Don't grow too fast though, be as little as long as you can." I whispered as I just held their hands and kissed them.

After I spent some time with all of my siblings and family, it was time to go.

"Remember what I said kiddo." I nodded and dad and I teleported to The New Moon pack with Ronnie.

"Long time no see." Grandpa Julian said.

"We just saw each other a few weeks ago." I chuckled.

"I missed you guys, let me have this moment of exaggeration." He shook his head.

"Ok we'll let you have your moment." Ronnie said chuckling.

After dad and grandpa talked a bit he hugged us and teleported home. You can do this caleb.You have your brother here and you're with your family. It's not a bunch of strangers.

"This will be your room, Caleb and there's a bedroom attached so that'll be Ronnie's." We walked in and Ronnie went next door.

"I love it." Ronnie and I said.

"Ronnie you can go play with the pack kids and the rest of the family. I'd like to have a talk with Caleb alone." He nodded.

"I'll be right outside if you need me Caleb." I nodded.

When he left, Grandpa sat on my bed as I began to unpack.

"Tell me what happened kiddo. You don't have to but I like to be in the know with my family. I want to make sure you're ok." I nodded.

"Well to ease your mind, no I'm not feeling suicidal if that's what you meant by if I'm ok. It hurts a lot. It feels like my body has been placed in a barrel of acid. It's painful and my bones hurt. I can't explain it but it hurts more than words can express. I met them that night after my birthday. They were on the team my school was playing against and after we won, things happened, we mated and the next morning they rejected me but not before saying some unforgivable things. Even if they apologized I don't think I could take them back. At least not right away." I didn't realize I was crying until he wiped my cheeks softly.

He nodded.

"And you accepted the rejection?" He asked and I nodded.

"I'm sorry kiddo. Someone as sweet and caring as you doesn't deserve this pain. I know there's someone out there for you that will appreciate the man you are." I smiled a little.

"You think so?" I asked, hopeful.

"Of course there is, you've been through so much and just like your dad you'll find happiness you've dreamed of. Just be patient and don't be so quick to fall in love. You're young so let it happen naturally just like you had planned before. If they're worth it, they'll wait until you're ready." Grandpa smiled patting my back.

"Thanks for the pep talk grandpa." I kissed his cheek.

"No problem kiddo. I want you and Ronnie in bed early tonight. We have to get you registered at the school." I nodded and I mentally groaned just remembering to message Nathan that I'll be out of town because of this whole mess.

"We will." He nodded and I flopped on my bed calling him.

Pick up you jerk. Don't tell me you have someone over.

"Finally you answer." I groan.

"Well excuse me captain I didn't know I needed permission to have a life." He laughed and I glared at him through the screen.

"Save the sass for someone who cares." I chuckled.

"Who are you talking to?" I heard seth.

"I'm talking to the captain. Who of course we haven't seen in three weeks." I rolled my eyes. So dramatic.

"Give me the phone, he doesn't need your sass." Seth was now on the screen.

"Hey Cal, how are you feeling?" He pouted.

"As good as I can be." I sighed.

"Where are you? That doesn't look like your normal bedroom." He said.

"That's why I called. Being there wasn't getting any easier so dad and I decided to put some distance between me and the jerk." I groaned feeling a pain in my heart.

"That only partially answered my question bro." I chuckled.

"And you talk about Nathan being sassy." I said and he smirked.

"I'm staying with family in another state for a while so you guys will have to find a replacement. I can email my uncle telling him I want one of you guys to be the captain until I get back. You guys were on the team much longer than I was so you guys deserve it." They pouted.

"How long are you going to be gone?" Nathan asked and I sighed.

"I honestly don't know guys and I don't want to give you false hope that I'll be there soon when I won't be there for a while." They nodded.

"I'm sure we'll see each other on the field if my new school makes nationals." They nodded and I could see the unshed tears in their eyes.

"I love you guys." I smiled.

"We love you too Cal." They blew me a kiss and I chuckled, blowing one back.

"Goodnight." We said at the same time and hung up.

"Bro come on dinner is ready." Ronnie said and I followed him downstairs and I looked around. I forgot how big pop's family was. Granted some don't live on packlands anymore so this isn't everyone.

"Something smells amazing." I sniffed the air.

"Pot roast and mashed potatoes." Grandpa Danny said.

"It's been a while since we've had your cooking. It's really only on holidays and birthdays." Ronnie said and I nodded.

"Well, less talking and more eating." We laughed when he said that. I think I can get used to living here.

*a year later*

"Hey my blue eyed tigger." I smiled and turned around just in time for Vince to jump into my arms and kiss my neck, making me shiver.

"Hey cottontail. How was your day?" I asked as he wrapped his legs around my waist as I walked down the hallway to my locker.

"It was boring but good, it sucks we don't have any classes together or lunch." He pouted looking up at me with his big bright blueish silver eyes.

"I know but what can we do? We at least see each other in the morning and now plus after school." I said and he kissed my chin.

"I suppose you're right. You got your big game tonight, are you nervous?" He asked and I shook my head.

"No, I'm actually pumped for it. It's been a game I have been waiting for since I heard the scouts are coming. I'm ready." I said and he smiled.

"We can celebrate after." He whispered in my ear and nibbled on my earlobe.

"What did you have in mind?" I whispered back.

"You, me, hotel room. The game is out of town so we can drive together, get a room and stay the night and come back in the morning." Well hell, that sounds like a great idea to me.

"Perfect. Maybe we can actually stay the weekend since it is Friday. I'm sure grandpa will be ok with it." I said and he smiled brightly.

"Oh a weekend alone with you in a hotel room? Whatever will we do?" He wondered out loud and I laughed.

"I'm sure you can figure something out in that pretty little head of yours." I kissed his plump lips before I put him down when I got to my locker. He grabbed my shirt and pulled me into him and I pushed him against the locker and put my leg in between his and moved it slowly. He moaned and I felt his excitement and smiled in the kiss.

"It seems you're a little excited baby." I said and kissed his neck when he put his hand on the back of my head. He is sexy and so edible, I can get lost in him all night long, anytime.

He is really attached to Vince, just as I am. He was drinking from a small body of water and I was hunting for some food. Raja likes wild game being a tiger so when we came upon Vince, I forgot all about the game and so did he. "Only for you." He said and I finally opened my locker and got my bag and handed him his, he shares with me since his is on the other end of the school and his classes are closer to the locker so he just puts his stuff in with mine.

"I need to go to the locker room and change, get in some practice before we leave for the game in a couple of hours. Are you going home and coming back or going to sit in the stands and hang out?" I asked him as I held him close to me and he looked up at me.

"I think I'm going to go home, I kinda need to get some things for our weekend. If we are leaving after the game, my house isn't far so I won't be long. I'll be back in about a half an hour to watch you for the last half hour and then we can go. I'll have my dad come pick up my car, papa can drive him to get it." He said and I nodded.

"Sounds good. I love you, be safe and see you soon." I said and he smiled and we kissed.

"I love you too. See you soon." He and I parted ways and I went to the locker room to get changed into my practice uniform.

"I hate to see him go but love watching him walk away." Raja said and I chuckled.

"Tell me about it. You will see plenty of him soon Raja. You really love him don't you?"

"Yes, I do. He is really good for us Caleb. He treats us like we are the best in the world to him and we with him. It feels right when we're with him. I know he's not our mate but we love him like he is."

"We have a strong bond with him and you know our family, people have formed bonds just as strong as a mate bond. Since we met Vince and River, the pain of the rejection seems non-existent most days. I feel it once in a while but Vince has healed us in ways I didn't think was possible months ago."

"Yes, I agree my human." He said and I laughed. I went out onto the field and smiled when I saw my team already doing drills. I ran over and joined them for our short practice before our big game tonight, we made it to state, if we win this it's nationals and the pressure is on but I'm not nervous, I have been playing for years and with Christians help, I can do this in my sleep.

"You and Vince seem to be doing great." Jay, one of my good friends I made almost right away when I moved here said to me as we were passing the ball in between tires on the field.

"Yea, he's great. We're going to stay out of town for the weekend, just us." I said and he tried to block a pass I made, the ball going past him to another teammate, Andy who caught the ball and shot it into the goal.

"Nice play!" I said to Andy and he smiled.

"Thanks." He said and got the ball back and we ran the play again.

"Are you sure Julian is going to be ok with that?" Jay asked.

"Yea, the family all love Vince. It's not like we haven't had sex you know. This will just be the first time we go away for the weekend, I'm sure it'll be fine. Besides, my dad, pop, and my other dads are going to be there for the game so I can ask dad to talk to grandpa since I am living under his roof, what he says goes." I said and he agreed.

"Julian is cool though, you're not a reckless asshole looking for a joyride. You have a good head on your shoulders and they all know that." He said and I heard a whistle and looked where it came from and knew it was Vince, I smiled when he waved and blew me a kiss and bent over and spanked his butt making me laugh.

"God I love him." I said and the guys awed me and I rolled my eyes but smiled.

We practiced for a little while longer before we had to go get ready for the ninety minute drive to the game. Ninety minutes in the car with Vince, goodness help me.

I'm still worked up from earlier so I can only imagine what he's gonna do to me in the truck.

Yea dad drove my truck down to me one weekend because I didn't like asking for rides every time I wanted to leave so he and pop drove, pop drove dad's truck and dad drove mine down to me. It was a major load off my mind when I could just jump in and go on my own for however long I wanted.

That weekend was fun, Nathan and Seth came with them so we spent time together hanging out doing hardly nothing but I enjoyed being around my best friends again.

"No pressure huh? Well I wasn't feeling it until you said that." I chuckled and he smiled.

I focused on the road or at least tried to but he was making it hard with him rubbing himself and moaning, looking over at me as he rubbed my thigh, making me squeeze the steering wheel and think of other things besides the sounds he's making or what he is going to me and himself.

"Caleb?" He called my name and I looked over at him for a second and almost didn't look back at the road in time to stop at a red light.

When I say I love you, it's not just to say what you want to hear, I truly love you Vince, you are and always will be the light of my life." I said and he had tears in his eyes.

"What about your mate? I'm not your mate so you can't say things like that to me Caleb. Not that I'll always be the light of your life because when you meet your mate, he will be, not me. I'll just be a distant memory for you." I know what he said is true but what I said is true also. I squeezed his hand gently and kissed his palm and held his hand to my cheek.

"My mate rejected me Vince, you know that. I love you, Vince, no one else can come close to how I feel about you. I know I'm only seventeen, you as well but I don't see my life without you in it as my partner and mate. We have a strong bond, Raja loves you and River, just as much as I do. We can when the time is right, mate, not just have sex and mark one another. I will leave that decision up to you though, no pressure at all. Whatever you decide as our fate, I'll support it."

He had tears in his eyes and I hugged him.

"Never in my life did I think I'd find a man as sweet as you. Being born mateless has made me an outcast at home and at school. I'll never understand what you see in a weak buck shifter like me but I love you and hope to prove to you that I love you and always will." I kissed him hard to stop him from talking so low about himself.

"You're not weak because you are unapologetically you and live as you are and that my love is what truly draws me to you even more." I smiled wiping his tears and kissed him.

"Gosh you really know how to make a guy cry." He said tearfully as he sniffled and wiped his face.

"I didn't mean to make you cry, I was just speaking from the heart cottontail." I said using the nickname I made up the moment I saw him drinking that water. He blushed and kissed my cheek.

"I know my blue eyed tigger." He giggled and I smiled, focusing back on the road since the traffic jam was finally moving. We listened to country music as I drove the rest of the way to the school the game was at. Vince is a lover of country and growing up with my dad, it was all I ever listened to so we don't ever disagree on music.

As we got closer my nerves were kicking in, they weren't so bad on the way but when I got to the town and saw all the cars lined up to go to the game with the schools colors, for both schools, my stomach was doing major flip flops.

"It's ok, it's just another game. Think about you being back home playing on our field and kicking ass, you are Caleb fucking Blackstone baby, you got this!" Vince said and I couldn't help but laugh at his choice of words. I sighed and looked at him and kissed him since we were stopped for a minute.

"Thank you, that actually made me feel better." I said and he smiled wide.

"Yay, that's my job." He said and put his window down and yelled my name.

"My baby Caleb is gonna kick all y'alls asses!!"

"God I love you." I said laughing and he smiled at me from his perch on my window hanging out of it and holding onto the top of the truck. I heard a lot of cheers when he said my name from people from our school and as I drove into the parking lot, I saw my whole family standing there waiting for me. Vince got back into the truck and put his window up and I parked and he hopped out and ran over to my dad and hugged him.

"Hi! Gosh it's good to see you again! I have missed you." Vince said to dad and dad smiled at him.

"It's good to see you too. You seem excited." Dad said and I got out of the truck and grabbed my duffel bag and joined my family. A scent doesn't seem to match my family so I looked around to see who was new but couldn't see anyone new so I shrugged. May be someone they passed on the way.

"Hey kiddo. You look good." Dad said and hugged me and I hugged him back and breathed in his scent. I missed him.

"Hey dad, thanks, you do too. I missed you." I said and he kissed my forehead.

"I missed you too kiddo. When are you going to move back home?" He has asked this once before and I wasn't ready to go back, that was right after I met Vince.

"I don't think I'm going to, I have a good life and I'm happy dad, I'm not in pain, I can sleep through the night and things are just going good for me." I said and he smiled but held back his tears so I hugged him again.

"Don't cry dad, I'm not too far away. I know it's not the same as me living at home but I can't move back. I have Vince, soccer, college scouts looking at me dad. I have a lot going on. It doesn't mean I won't ever come back, just not right now." I said and he sighed.

"I know, I just miss my baby boy, I'll be fine." He let me go and pop hugged me next.

"You have matured even more, were you ever just a kid?" He asked and I shook my head.

"A little here and there." I answered and he chuckled.

"It's good to see you son."

"It's good to see you too pop. How are my babies doing?" I asked and he smiled.

"Great. Tobias is crawling all over the place. He's not walking but he sure crawls fast and he can eat without the feeding tube finally. The other babies are just fine, walking with some help and eating everything under the sun. They got new glasses which is good, their eyesight is getting better. Everyone else is fine, all the babies and kids are fine. We all are fine." He said because he knew I'd ask how they all were.

"One weekend you'll have to bring me the triplets so I can spend time with them, I miss them." I said and Vince nodded rapidly.

"Yes! We can have so much fun with them." He said and pop and dad laughed.

"Sure. Just let us know when." Dad said and I smiled.

"Ok, I gotta go get ready. It's almost time. I love you all, it's good to see everyone. Be sure to cheer loudly for me." I said and Vince wrapped his arms around my neck and kissed me and I waved to my family and went into the school and sighed.

This is it, one of the biggest games of my high school career, to determine if I get into college with a place on the soccer team. I found my way to the locker room for my team and opened the door and walked in. I looked around and found my name on a locker and my game uniform was hanging there all clean and bright for this game. We got new uniforms with our name, number and state on the shirts. I changed into the uniform and sat on the bench to put my shin guards on and Jay came over to me.

"Ready for this man?" He asked and I looked at him and nodded.

"Hell yes I'm ready. This game is everything." I said and stood up.

"Listen up!" I said and everyone got quiet and looked at me.

"First I want to say you guys are an amazing team to play with, since I got here it seems like we were meant to play together because we just connected and got into a good flow and tonight when we are on that field, everyone is going to see that. I don't want you to play for anyone but yourselves, you deserve this win. We have worked our asses off to get to this point for the past two years and I am proud to call you my teammates." I said and they cheered.

"Nice speech Blackstone. Now I don't have to say anything except, go play your hearts out boys and have fun. You know what you're doing, you know what strategy you are going to use so just go out there and show them who the Timber Wolves are!" Coach Leon said and we lined up at the door and he opened the door and jogged out onto the field. The stands were filled, not a spot free since there are people standing all over the place as well. My whole family took up a lot of the space on our side. It's amazing to see them all together like this, except the little ones.

We ran to the sidelines and waited for the game to start.

When it was time we walked onto the field and the nerves set in. Come on get it together. I bounced on my heels and shook my arms by my sides as I jumped slightly, shaking the nerves out.

I got in position guarding the goalkeeper.

"You and me hot shot." I was taunting a player from the other team and kicked the ball towards the opposite side of the field.

He went after the ball and cheered when we scored.

The game was going by pretty quickly, we hadn't gotten many fouls and the other team was losing it with us having the luxury of a penalty kick here and there.

There were ten minutes in the first quarter so I prayed I could rest. A presence here was beginning to throw me off my game and I couldn't afford that.

When the first quarter ended I sat on the bench and drank some water. There's forty five minutes left in the game so I talked to Jay about our next play.

"Spread the word bro." I said and he nodded.

I got back in position as defender and sighed feeling out of breath. This doesn't seem right at all.

"Where's your head at Blackstone?" The coach yelled when I zoned out and the player passed me.

We were playing for a while and my body was aching.

When the other team saw they were losing they became a bit aggressive so the referee called a red card for one of the players and we got a yellow. Now was the time to put our plan into action. I spotted Jay and put two fingers up, our signal for our secret play we have been working on and he nodded. He stole the ball from one of the other players and dribbled it down the field and when I was open he kicked it to me, I watched it soar through the air and at the perfect time, I did a flip and when my right leg was up, I bent it and kicked it with my shin and landed on my feet, everyone in the stadium was quiet as we all watched the ball fly into the net, making us the champions for state. The people in the stands for our school were going crazy and whistling, cheering, screaming and just going nuts. My team came over to me and I got out of my shock that we won and Jay and Andy put me on their shoulders as we cheered our hearts out.

"Mr. Blackstone, my name is Kevin O'reilly. I'm a scout for UCLA and we'd like to offer you a full ride scholarship." My heart stopped when he said that. My dream school, here.

"Yes, of course." I shook his hand.

"We'll give you a call." He smiled and walked away.

I made my way to my family and they all were happy to hear about the scout from UCLA when suddenly I saw Adin.

Raja growled loudly when we saw Adin with my uncle Matty and Brandon. Everyone looked in shock at us and they moved to the sides, not getting in the way of a tiger God with his eyes on his target but Vince didn't let us get even close to Adin.

"You! You are the one who broke his heart!" Vince yelled and it was honestly not like him. He is never angry.

"What is he talking about?" I heard Matty ask Adin. Adin didn't look at anyone but me and I know my eyes were glowing neon blue by now with all the anger I was feeling.

"Adin is the one who rejected Caleb and they are here talking and laughing with you like their fucking family!" Vince said and everyone gasped at the news of who Adin is since no one has ever met them before.

"Is that true? This whole time you were the person who hurt my son? After I invited you into my home, into my family's lives?" Dad gasped suddenly and looked at me and he looked pale. I ran over to him and held him before he lost focus and he seemed to be shaking and nervous.

"What did you do to my dad?!" Raja roared looking at Adin.

"I didn't do shit to him!" Adin yelled back and I felt my anger boiling over and Raja took over and Vince shifted instinally and stood in front of us.

"Aww isn't that cute, the pathetic little deer is trying to protect his pathetic tiger God. How sad."

"Shut your mouth!" Pop said to Adin.

"You told us you got rejected because you..." Adin slapped Matty before he could finish what he was saying. Vince took off after Adin and just started chasing them, that sight was amazing but I wanted to know what Matty was going to say and why dad was looking like a ghost.

"So Adin has been living with you? How did you even meet?" I asked Matty and he seemed nervous. Yea be nervous, I'm not feeling to fucking nice right now.

"Adin works for me, I found out they have been taking care of their siblings and being underage, I didn't like that idea so I offered them to move in with us. I had no idea you and Adin were mates Caleb. I just found out. I was told their mate rejected them."

"Well I can understand that but no, Adin rejected me. Left that morning after we mated and hadn't seen them until now. What were you going to say before Adin slapped you?"

"Son, let's go talk." Pop grabbed my shoulder gently and got me to look at him in the eyes and he cupped my cheeks and I did the same like I do with dad to calm my breathing and I watched Vince stride back to us with his head up in the air and no sign of Adin.

"Ok, talk." I said when we were alone. It was just me, dad, and pop.

"Son, Adin left that morning with something of yours..."
