Seth POV

"Wake up love." I heard Eric.

"Mhm..." I said tiredly.

"Come on love, it's six-thirty. We have to feed and change Gavin and Hayden then make breakfast and wake Altan up. Holt already left it seems. I went to go wake him up but his bed was made and his car's gone." I just sighed.

"Can't we just have the pack ladies or whatever they're called do it? My legs feel like jello after last night and Caleb has been worried about Holt." I said trying to stall.

"You have ten minutes to be downstairs or so help me, I'm going to make that ass redder than Rudolph's nose." Fuck him and his dirty talking.

"I'm up I'm up." I groaned.

"Let me just take a shower and get ready."

"Time's a ticking." He tapped his nonexistent watch.

"Ok, big daddy." I winked and went into the bathroom.

After my shower, I went to go wake up Altan and grab Hayden.

"Are you sure Holt left?" I asked Eric.

"I'm sure love, why? If you're worried then call him. I'll finish breakfast." He smiled and kissed me.

Something just feels wrong and I don't like it at all.

After calling him three times I was starting to get worried but then I got a text saying he was in class.

"See, he's fine. He probably just wants to distance himself. I was the same way with my mother." Eric said and I nodded.

"He went to bed really late because he helped with my project and homework from Friday." Altan said.

We nodded.

"Well get your bag kiddo and Papa Eric will take you to school." I said.

"Ok." He said, kissing my cheek and went to get his bag.

When they left I took the twins upstairs.

"Hello?" I answered my phone.

"Hey, baby." I smiled.

"How's practice going?" I asked Caleb.

"It sucks. I can't stop thinking about Holt and it's messing up my game." He said.

"Did you guys talk this morning?" I asked.

"Briefly, he looked like an empty shell." I figured as much.

"At least he acknowledged your existence. That has to count for something right? He could just say I'm done and leave." I tried to raise his spirits.

"You're right. Thanks, baby." He said.

"I love you, baby."

"I love you too." I kissed him through the phone hanging up.

A few minutes later, Adin and Nathan walked into the bedroom. I was watching TV with Vince and the twins trying to shake this feeling in my stomach.

"How'd the appointment go?" I asked Adin.

"They're all healthy and active. Dr. Balwin said they'll probably give us a run for our money as they get older." I chuckled.

"Sounds about right." Vince said.

"I wonder who's next to pop out a little one. Could be several of us after what we did last night." Nathan said and we all laughed.

"You got a point." Adin said, smiling.

"Well, time will tell." I said and we all cuddled together watching tv.

Around noon, Caleb came home and we were all making lunch together.

"Hello?" I asked, answering my phone.

"Hi, Mr. Blackstone. It's Kase. Did Holt go home early? We had plans to go off campus for lunch and he's not anywhere to be found. I asked his friends but they only have the first two classes with him and the last two." Kase said, a little freaked out.

"We've all talked to him so I'm sure he's fine. Just wait it out and see if he meets up with you in the parking lot or something." I said. Now I'm starting to worry a little bit.

"Ok, I'll keep you guys updated if I see him or don't."

"Thanks, Kase." I said and hung up.

"That's not like Holt to avoid Kase, he was all over him yesterday." Vince said.

"It definitely is a red flag." Nathan said.

Only two more hours until the high school lets out so shall see.

"What did the text say earlier love?" Eric asked.

I gave him the phone.

"He said, Daddy... Holt doesn't use Daddy for any of us." I looked at the text. Well shit, how did I miss that.

"It's from his phone so it's not like someone else could have sent it." Adin said.

"True but then again someone could have." I said.

"Kase did say his friends barged into his house and caught them together making out. If anyone hurt my baby I'll hunt them down!" Caleb roared and the house shook.

"This is no time to panic, we still have two hours before school lets out." Nathan said.

I hate this, when of all days does this have to happen.

After lunch, we just sat around waiting for school to be over for Altan and Holt. When they didn't walk through the door we called Liam and notified Thayne we need all hands on this.

"I'm home, I'm home, sorry I didn't call." Altan said walking in with Kase and Nash.

"Altan where's your brother?" Caleb asked.

"I don't know, he was supposed to pick me up from school today but never did. Kase picked me up since he was picking up Nash and we stopped for something to eat real quick because I felt sick and lightheaded all day." Altan rambled on.

Where the hell is this boy?

"We'll talk about the importance of having a phone later but right now we need to find your brother." Caleb said and Altan nodded looking down.

After we all talked about our plan we went to the Alpha suite and knocked.

"Caleb, what's wrong? I thought today was your date night?" Liam said.

"Holt's missing. No one has seen him since around nine this morning and Altan has been feeling uneasy all day. His powers are growing and he feels when things are off in the family on a deeper level than just feeling the tension." Liam looked at Caleb unconvinced.

"Are you sure he's missing, like really sure. I remember feeling like that at one point in time. Maybe he's just his rebellion phase and just doesn't want to come home and be stuck in the house all day." Liam said. He had a point but he changed his tune rather quickly when we all got a text from an unknown number and it was a picture of blood splatter on a bed of leaves.

"Let's go find my grandson." Liam said and we can see that his wolf was on the surface.

We had five search groups, we even managed to get neighboring packs and allies to help us.

We were all starting to lose hope as it was now nine at night. Five hours of searching and not a single clue.

"Alpha Beau of the Crimson Sun Pack just called. They think they found his car." Crimson Sun? But that pack is in New Mexico.

"What is his car doing all the way in New Mexico?" Vince asked.

"I don't know cottontail but whatever the reason I don't think it was on Holt's account. He wouldn't have left the state just because he was punished. Maybe a different city at most." Caleb said.

"You're right. As much as he's upset, he wouldn't have gone so far." We all agreed.

After we regrouped, we teleported to Crimson Sun.

"Ah, Alpha Thayne. It's a pleasure to see you again." Alpha Beau said.

"You as well Beau, how's that mate of yours and the quints?" Thayne asked.

"They're all quite alright. Jasmine is resting right now, stop by sometime. I'll have a warrior escort you to the location of the car." We nodded and waited.

"Right this way sirs." The warrior said and we all followed him a couple of miles away.

Well, I'll be damned. It definitely was Holt's car. It looks like it went through a damn compactor. The front, back and both sides of the car were crushed in. Whoever did this wanted our baby boy dead and gone.

"This is all my fault, I should have made sure the door was locked that night." Kase said. My heart broke for him. He's so young and to be involved in this shit show.

"No one blames you, Kase, yes you should have dropped them a long time ago and we could have avoided this but it is what is now." Caleb said.

"Caleb Asher." Liam warned.

He sighed. "I'm sorry Kase."

"I get it, if it wasn't for me he wouldn't be in this mess. I'm sorry." He said and went off.

"Why don't you all come inside to relax and start a new tomorrow. It's quite late." Alpha Beau said.

None of us really ate much dinner because we were too concerned about Holt. The only person who ate the most was Adin because they were pregnant and needed energy. They shouldn't even be here pregnant but they insisted so we brought Dr. Balwin's apprentice to make sure they're not straining too much or overdoing it.

The next morning we started a new search. We split into four groups once again and looked all over town.

"We have blood over here!" One of the scouts yelled.

As they said that I texted my mates and we met up with the scout.

"It's his blood alright." Caleb said.

There was so much of it. Who the hell did this?

Before we came up with a plan, Caleb was gone.

"Someone make sure he doesn't do anything stupid." Liam groaned out.

Nathan and Eric teleported to wherever Caleb went. No doubt tracking down Kase's friends. No one messes with Caleb's babies or there will be hell to pay.

This was a damn goose chase. The blood trail led nowhere and Caleb still has come back.

After searching for another three hours we went back to Alpha Beau's for lunch. It was about two in the afternoon and still nothing.

As if the universe was done having fun at our expense, we got a call from Caleb.

"We found him." I can hear him sniffling.

"Is everything ok? How is he?" I asked.

Soon I heard a ding and opened my text instantly dropping my phone at the sight. I don't even recognize him anymore.

We all teleported to Caleb and before Adin could get a full view, they was brought out of the room by Nathan. We don't want to risk the health of the triplets.

"I'm going to kill those bastards." Kase said.

"Don't bother, they won't be talking for a while or doing much for that matter." Caleb said darkly.

"Y-you ki..." I stuttered.

"No, I didn't kill them. As much as I wanted to. I found the bastards in the park drinking and celebrating their victory that they got rid of one less fag. Raja rampaged and almost beat them to the edge of their life but Nathan and Eric stopped us so the most we did was trap them in a nightmare it's only temporary, unfortunately. We took them to their parents with a lawsuit. I'm pressing charges for hate crime, aggravated assault as well as attempted murder." He was looking at Holt the whole time expressionless. Damn, he did all that.

"We'll be right by your side, love." I said.

"You must be this young man's family, I'm sorry for the hold-up. I was stuck in surgery. My name is Dr. Reid. It's amazing this young man is alive. He was found by a jogger and brought in with several facial fractures, his right arm is broken in two places, his left leg is shattered, his lungs collapsed and there are several other injuries. The major issue was the internal bleeding in the head and abdomen. It seems his assaulters wanted him to remember this because he was stabbed over fifty times. Mainly in the abdomen." He's leaving the part out where our son is in a damn coma.

"When will he wake up?" Caleb asked.

"I'm not sure sir, with the severity of his injuries it'll be a miracle if he makes it through the night. I'm sorry." The Doc said before walking out and we just looked at him.

"Don't worry baby boy, we'll get justice." I whispered.

Caleb kissed his forehead and tears from Caleb landed on Holts cheeks and we all just watched as our mate broke down over our son.
