the one where it's christmas morning

Luke.

Christmas morning.

I stirred around in my sleeping position, rubbing my eye to get rid of the sleep stuck in its corners. I tried to move into a more comfortable position when I felt my right arm sting with small numbness because October had used it at as pillow when she and Michael stayed over last night. Seeing that I woke up first out of both of us, I shifted in my spot to get a good look at her.

She had seriously unpleasant morning hair; going in every direction and most on her face, and I was thankful that I had shorter hair so I wouldn't have to deal with all that every morning. Her mouth fell slightly ajar, and I noticed she drooled a little on my clothes, making me chuckle, I didn't find it gross really, just really cute. She let out soft, steady breaths, and I was grateful that she wasn't much of a snorer. I had no idea why she could look so messy in the morning yet so beautiful at the same time. Or maybe it was just her in general.

I then eye her down to what she was wearing - a loose, red onesie. Ashton had suggested for all of us to have matching sleepwear when we woke up on Christmas morning - oh, shit. That was today, wasn't it? I was too caught up in October next to me that I hadn't even noticed.

"October," I mumbled, pushing her hair out of her face and tucking it behind her ear, tapping her chin so her mouth would close. She groaned, and pushed me away by putting her hand on my face, then turning on her opposite side while pulling the blanket over her head.

"Baby, wake up. It's Christmas." I put my hand on her waist and shook her gently, towering over her side where I could see a sleepy grin among her features.

She turned on her back, smiling sleepily with her eyes closed. "You called me baby. I like the sound of that." Her soft, delicate voice beamed as she finally fluttered her eyes opened.

I lean down and kiss her forehead, letting my lips linger for a while before getting off the bed and grabbing her hands, pulling her up with me and throwing her over my shoulder, ignoring her protests. She stopped after a short while, probably because she would've been too tired to get up, anyway.

"Wake up, wake up! It's Christmas!" I hollered, banging on the other boys' doors, with October still hanging on to me tightly. I placed her down in the living room and waited for the boys to come out of their hibernation, expecting them to be half zombies but was surprised when Ashton jumped out of his door, skipping to where October and I were and Calum and Michael followed after, giggling like little children.

"D'aww look at that, the whole team's here!" Ashton exclaimed, engrossing everyone in a group hug. "Merry Christmas you motherfuckers!"

"C'mon! Let's get to the presents! Then we can all spend the day drinking in this apartment even though two out of five of us are underage!" Michael squealed, heading to the little tree perched up in the corner next to the couch.

We make our way over to the little fake tree and reached for the presents with our names on it.

I opened Ashton's present first, then Cal's and Michael's, getting up after to thank them for the lovely presents they bought.

I saved October's present last, having there be three of them - one rectangular shaped, another more square and thin, and the last larger than the rest.

She had gotten me a small, modern record player, along with a few vinyls of my favourite music. Overjoyed, I put them to the side, and walked over to her - who was chewing on her nail, and enveloped her in one of my signature hugs that were only made for her.

"I know it's not much, but I had to buy it at a late time and-"

"Not much? Baby, I love it. Thank you so much, I still can't believe you bought all that for me. You didn't have to. N-not that I don't like it, cause I do. Like, a lot." I moved her closer, before pulling away to give her a long, kiss on the lips, making her giggle and pull away with rosy cheeks.

"Now, here's mine." I walked back to the tree and reached for the small, square box, handing it to her then putting my hands behind my back and biting my lip. She opened it curiously, eyebrows furrowed, but was quickly changed into a look of astonishment, as she let out a little gasp.

"How'd you know?" She muttered, holding the necklace by its chain, admiring it in awe. I gently took it from her grasp and nudged her to turn around and she followed, holding her hair up as I clasped it on.

"To be honest, Michael told me. But it's okay, because I was the one who gave him the idea to get you that sketchbook and paint supplies." I stated, rubbing the back of my neck and grimaced lightly while she just laughed, pulling me in for another kiss.

"I love it, thank you," She ruffled my hair and I groaned, making her shrug innocently before kissing my cheek. "Baby." she added, before walking over to the boys to thank them as well and I watched her, a wide grin on my face before trailing behind her.

It was ten in the evening (or something like that), and the five of us were dancing to my new record player - drunkenly - still in our onesies with Christmas-themed headbands on.

Calum and October were taking the floor, dancing like how people would in the 1930's while Michael was singing with two cups in both hands and Ashton was on the rug, crawling on all fours. Apparently he was Donner, a reindeer from Santa's sleigh.

I sat on the couch, eyeing October as she swayed to the music. She had taken the top half of the onsie off and tied the sleeves around her waist, a tanktop now hiding the delicate skin that I suddenly had a craving to run my fingers upon.

My brain was spinning from the alcohol I had ingested. Maybe it was just the whiskey talking, but something about the way she moved her hips slowly to the beat kind of (and I hate to say it), turned me on.

I couldn't really help it; I was partially intoxicated. Only a little though, but I still needed to do something.

"I'm g-gonna need to... b-bathroom," I stuttered, earning fits of laughter from Ashton (or Donner, like he suggested), and without another word rushed to my room.

I closed the door and fumbled around with the lock, before undressing from my steamy onesie to my black boxers. I really had no idea what I was doing, but made no move to stop myself.

I plopped myself down on my side of the bed and pushed the covers down to the edge of the bed, having one leg hanging off of the edge and set on the ground before placing my hand under the hem of my boxers and on my crotch, with October dancing to the soft music evident in my mind.

October.

The last track stopped on Luke's new record player and I let go of Calum's hands, laughing uncontrollably for no absolute reason. I was drunk, yes, but I still had about 20% control of my brain activity.

Speaking of Luke, where was he?

"Guys, where'd Luke go?" I questioned, looking around the room in search of the tall blonde boy.

"He went to his room, about a wrist ago," Ashton responded, and was indeed, glancing down at his wrist where a watch was supposed to be. Then he giggled.

I rolled my eyes, chuckling, before jumping over a half asleep Michael who laid on the ground belting out incoherent lyrics of Mariah Carrey's "All I Want For Christmas is You".

I skipped down the hallways and stopped in front of Luke's room, about to open it when I heard muffled noises coming from the other side. What?

"Luke?" I called. No reply. I turned the door handle and it opened at ease, pushing the door open to walk in. I froze it place, taking in the scene in front of me.

There rested Luke, with his eyes closed and eyebrows furrowed in concentration, small grunts leaving his mouth and his arm moving in a rhythm. My eyes traveled down his figure until they reached the- Oh.

I couldn't move, maybe because I was a little shocked at what I had just witnessed. Was it wrong that I was somehow turned on by this?

His eyes shot open and landed on mine, before letting out a shriek and falling off the bed, bringing the quilt with him and getting up shortly after.

I tried to talk, but no words came from my mouth.

"I'm so sorry you had to see that I- wow this is really fucking awkward. Like, more awkward for you rather than me because I'm just really embarrassed. I- shit. Shit, sorry, shit." His face could've been as red as a strawberry if you compared the two. I noticed he no longer had his onesie on and was dressed in only boxers, and even if I've seen him without a shirt before, I still couldn't help myself from admiring his broad shoulders, and the way his back muscles would flex whenever he moved. He wasn't strongly buff, but he was toned, and was still strong enough to lift me off the ground like what he did this morning.

He ran his tongue over his lip ring, his eyes still on mine and I strode towards him, not giving him any time to act upon the situation as I crashed my lips onto his.

He responded immediately, wrapping his arms around my waist, pulling me closer and tugging on the onesie that hung loosely on my hips. I pushed him down on the mattress, putting both my legs on either side of his torso as I ran my tongue along his bottom lip, asking for permission and he acquiesced.

I didn't know what I was doing, nor did I care.

I made my way down his neck, planting soft kisses in no particular place until I found his sweet spot, sucking on it gently causing a soft groan to leave his lips, before he pulled my chin up towards him, connecting our lips once more.

"Luke," I mumbled, his hands trailing the sides of my waist, pulling gently on my black tanktop. He didn't reply as he kissed me again.

"Luke, we should stop," I whispered again, pulling away slightly and looking into his eyes. Soft pants came from both our mouths and he gave me a small smile, sitting up with me perched on his lap.

"Sorry, it's just - you're so - god," he muttered breathlessly, before placing a hand on my jaw, pulling me in for another long kiss.

I pulled away, giggling, before resting my forehead against his. "Easy, tiger," I murmured against his lips, nudging his nose with mine playfully.

"I think it's time to go to bed, baby." he chuckled and carried me towards the scattered pillows due to the little...commotion that he had caused.

"I think I'm going too tired to wash up." I complain, fixing the blankets before throwing it over the both of us. Then we heard what I think was a tribal call coming from the living room.

"I think that Ashton and Michael are going to wake up half of New York and we'll possibly get kicked out of this apartment." He groaned, kissing my forehead and pulling me to closer to him and I nuzzled into his side.

I think I'm in love with you, I thought to myself, but I didn't say it out loud.
