EIGHTEEN
[ Louis' POV ]
"Ready?"
"I don't know." - He said, biting his lips and staring at the entrance of the church.
I took his hand and intertwined our fingers.
"C'mon Harry, show some enthusiasm." - I said, poking his cheek with my free hand.
He wrinkled his nose and I smiled widely at him.
"I'm nervous."
"No need to be nervous, it's your friend's wedding."
"But with you."
"We had plenty of weddings together already, didn't we?" - I smirked.
"I guess."
I placed my hand on his neck, pulling him softly towards me, joining us on a sweet kiss.
"Better?" - I asked. He smiled and simply nodded. - "Great. Now, let's get inside." - I said, pulling him by his hand.
"Lou, I need to be with Mitch, so you're going to have to stay on your own until the reception."
"Can I go with you?"
"To Mitch's suite?"
"Yeah." - I shrugged.
"I am not sure if he would want you there."
"Nonsense, that weirdo loves me, I always make him laugh."
"You do?" - Harry asked, intrigued.
"Yeah, you'll see."
Harry laughed a little and guided me to the back of the church, avoiding the guests and relatives of the engaged couple.
We walked through some corridors, hand in hand, and he finally knocked on a door at the end of the hall.
Seconds later, Liam opened the door.
"Oh my God, William!" - He yelled once he landed his eyes on me. - "Guys, Harry brought him again!" - He started shouting, and soon enough everyone was staring at me from the frame door.
"Hi." - I said.
Those guys were all the freaking time together.
Are they stuck with glue or something?
"He is not William guys, remember?" - Harry said. - "He is Louis."
"So, you're not working anymore?" - Niall asked me and winked.
"No, thanks to you." - I smiled and squeezed Harry's hand.
"You're both welcome." - Niall said towards me and Harry.
"So?" - Zayn started. - "Are you guys together or what?"
I looked at Harry, not knowing exactly what to respond.
Harry looked back at me and smiled.
"Yes, we are." - He said without breaking eye contact with me and swinging our hands.
"That's lovely." - Zayn said.
"Just look at them." - Roman said and cooed.
"Niall you'd better pick a date to your wedding, because I still think that they will beat you." - Ed said.
"We are so going to win that bet." - Nick said and high fived Ed.
"Oh shut up. I hate you both." - Niall said.
Harry's eyes were still in mine and I leaned to steal a quick kiss from his lips, making him smile wider.
"So, are you going to let us in? Or are we going to wait outside?" - I said to the group of friends.
Liam laughed and stepped back from the frame door, letting us inside the groom suite.
_____________
The marriage ceremony was alright, I'm not much of a church person, so I didn't pay much attention either. It was boring.
My full attention was on Harry the whole time.
He was just gorgeous, standing there behind the groom, in his fancy tuxedo and with the flower resting in his hair.
Sometimes he looked at my direction and I made him a funny gesture just to see him smile from a distance, sometimes he tried to contain a laugh, making him look even prettier than usual.
I shook my head and giggled.
I was lucky.
When the bride and the groom were officially married and walked out of the church, I rushed out of the bench where I was seated, looking for Harry outside.
I looked around the garden behind the church, where everyone was waiting for the married couple, but I couldn't spot him between the multitude of people.
I sighed in frustration and just followed the multitude, clearly walking to where the party was held.
We all made it to a big and decorated farm, where some people were showing us our tables.
When it was my turn, the girl took me straight to one of the main tables near the principal one.
I smiled to myself when I saw Harry already sitting.
But that smile was quickly erased when I noticed he was talking to another man. Another man who was clearly gay, and clearly flirting with him.
I rushed to where he was and quickly took a seat next to him.
"Hey, you are still here." - He said with a big smile on his face.
"I am." - I said, looking at the man on the other side of Harry.
"Lou, he is a cousin of Sarah, Thomas." - He said, pointing to the guy.
"Yeah, well, I guess I'll see you around, Harry. I have to go to my table." - He said quickly and walked away from us.
Harry frowned for a second but then he turned to me again and shrugged.
"He was nice."
"I'm sure he was." - I said and rolled my eyes.
Harry moved his chair closer to mine and leaned closer to my ear, whispering.
"Little ocean?"
"Mhm?"
"Want to dance with me?"
I looked into his big pleading eyes and sighed.
"Sure."
____________
After a batch of music, and many danced songs with Harry, I went back to the table.
Harry stayed dancing though.
I just needed to rest my legs for a while.
And eat, because I was starving.
I love wedding food. It's one of the many reasons I picked this job at the app.
Who doesn't like free food?
Of course I hadn't been taking many events lately, not since the last one with Harry. I just kept my job phone off and hidden in my drawer.
I still had some money saved, but I'd probably have to start taking some clients soon.
I shook my head, trying to push the thoughts away and coming back to reality.
That's future Louis problem.
I looked over to Harry, he was just being himself, fooling around and dancing with Niall, Amelia and Sarah. I smiled to myself.
Who could have thought I was going to find him through that stupid app?
When the waiter came to hand me a glass of champagne, I decided to take two instead and go give one to Harry.
I thanked the guy and walked towards the dance floor, holding the two glasses in my hands.
It wasn't long until I found Harry in the crowded room, but to my surprise he wasn't dancing with Niall anymore, he was dancing with the same guy from earlier. Sarah's gay cousin, Thomas.
I took a deep breath and pulled off my best fake smile, pushing some bodies aside and reaching to where Harry was.
"I brought you champagne." - I shouted over the music.
"I'm not drinking today, Lou. I have to drive us back." - He said, close to my ear so I could hear him.
"Okay." - I mumbled.
The gay guy was literally drooling as he watched Harry dancing to the music, trying to dance at his rhythm.
He took some steps closer to Harry and grabbed his arm, making him spin and kept dancing in front of him, leaving me aside.
I felt the jealousy bubbling inside me.
I drank both of the champagne glasses I was holding and left them empty on the nearest table, returning quickly to Harry.
He was oblivious to what the guy was trying to do, he just kept dancing and laughing.
When he saw me getting closer, he placed an arm around my shoulder.
Of course I saw that as an opportunity to make the guy go away.
Showtime everybody.
I turned Harry around in my arms and held him close to my body, resting my arms on his lower back and burying my face on his neck.
He lifted one of his hands to the top of my head, playing with my hair, as I kissed him under his jawline.
I stayed there until the end of the song and then I looked around to see if the guy was still there, he wasn't.
"What was all that about?" - Harry asked me with a smirk on his face.
"That guy was hitting on you, Curly. I wasn't going to let that happen."
Harry laughed loudly.
"Was he?"
"Mhmm." - I said, dipping again into his neck.
"Jealous?" - I heard Harry said and giggled.
I nodded into his neck and growled.
"Mine."
"Yours?" - He asked, pulling my head straight to face him.
"Yes." - I frowned.
"Am I though? You never officially asked me." - He smirked.
"You pretty much told your friends we were together earlier."
"Yeah, but I still didn't hear it from you, did I?" - He raised an eyebrow.
I stared at him for a second and I grabbed his wrist.
"Ok, c'mon." - I said, pulling him out of the multitude of people.
"Where are we going?" - He asked as I pulled him out through the entrance of the farm and walked towards the little garden behind the church.
"If you want me to pop the question, you're going to have your question."
