Shopping with Haku was easily worse than anything I had ever experienced before. And yes, I do mean ANYTHING.

I've had to change over a hundred times in the span of two hours, all while Haku looked at me for longer than needed and sent me back to change. The Yukata's I can wear comfortably are limited, because all the one's I've tried on so far have the back almost completely exposed, allowing my wings to breath.

I pushed aside the curtain and stood in front of Haku, watching as his eyes sparkled like a child's.

"This is the one we're getting!" He exclaimed, running up to me to give me a hug.

He squeezed me for a second before letting go and stepping back to admire the Yukata's print. It was a black Yukata covered in silver and gold dragons, and it was quite pretty.

"If this is the one I'm getting, it's your turn now." I chuckled, nudging him towards the endless racks and piles of colourful clothes.

I dug around a bit and gathered a pile of about five Yukata's before shoving them into Haku's arms and leading him back to the changing rooms.

"Hurry up and get changed." I whispered in his ear before pushing him in.

I sat down to wait and Haku began getting changed.

A few minutes later Haku stepped out, looking a little nervous. His cheeks were dusted in red and his ears turned that adorable shade of red. I couldn't help but chuckle.

"I don't know if I like this one..." He mumbled, fidgeting with his hands.

It was a mint green colour and I had to agree with Haku.

"I say try the next one." I replied.

Haku nodded and disappeared behind the curtain again.

Haku spent the next hour or so trying on different yukatas until we found one that suited him.

"This one is a winner!" I exclaimed.

"You really think so?" Haku asked.

The yukata Haku was wearing was light blue and had dark blue snowflakes all over it.

"Yup! And now we can finally go home!" I cheered, whooping enthusiastically.

Haku giggled and went back into the change room to take off the yukata so we could pay and leave. When we got to the counter to pay we ended up arguing about who would pay, so to settle our petty fight we decided to half the total.

"Are you hungry?" I asked, interlocking my fingers with Haku's .

His stomach growled and his face erupted into a nice shade of red.

"I'll take that as a yes." I snickered, watching as Haku spluttered in embaressment.

"Let's head home, I'll cook us something for lunch." Haku suggested, tugging my hand towards our apartment.

The thought brought a smile to my face. Our apartment, I no longer was alone, I finally had someone. My grin only got wider when I remembered that Haku was cooking.

"What would I do without you?" I mumbled.

"Starve." Haku replied with a smirk.

"True! I couldn't cook to save my life!" I laughed.

We countinued down the street towards my apartment, chatting about random and enjoying each others company. When we got home I unlocked the door and opened it, walking in and tossing the bag of Yukata's onto the couch.

"I'll start on lunch, you can chill in the living room." Haku said before dissappearing into the kitchen.

I shrugged and threw myself onto the couch, shoving the bag of clothes aside. I pulled out my book and began to read again to pass the time. I jumped a little in surprise when Haku suddenly landed on the couch next to me, leaning into my side.

"I thought you were cooking." I said quietly, flipping a page.

"I was, I prepped all the food I need and now I'm waiting on the rice cooker." He replied, placing a hand on my lap.

I nodded and went back to reading, my tail curving around Haku's waist to bring him closer. Haku relaxed into my side and I smiled, taking a quick glance at his face.

Time seemed to fly by, and before I knew it the rice cooker had interupted our blissful peace with it's shrill timer.

Haku hopped up off the couch and skipped back into the kitchen, out of my sight. I sighed at the empty space beside me and went back to reading, although my full focus was elsewhere.

The smell of freshly cooked rice invaded my nose, making it hard to keep what's left of my focus on my book. With a shake of my head and a sigh, I placed down my book and decided to simply relax on the couch until the food was ready. I rested my head on the back of the couch and stared up at the ceiling, counting the number of tiles to pass the time.

When Haku finally emerged from the kitchen, he was wearing a pale pink apron and carrying a plate that had about eight pieces of sushi. He walked over to the couch and placed the small plate down on the coffee table before turning to me with a shy smile.

"I made sushi because I figured we'd eat more at the festival and I didn't want us to be too full." Haku explained.

"Good idea, this all looks so good." I replied, ruffling his hair.

I leaned forward and reached for a piece, but I quickly jumped back as Haku smacked my hands with his chopsticks.

"Ouch." I said, shaking my hand. "What'd you do that for?"

"Just open your mouth." Haku replied, his ears turning red, a clear sign he was embarressed.

I chuckled, but complied anyway, opening my mouth. Haku picked up a piece of sushi and brought it near my mouth with his chopsticks, but at the last second, he plopped it into his own mouth.

"Jerk, I'm hungry, quit teasing me." I pouted, sticking my toungue out at him childishly.

I didn't know Haku was capable of being such a tease, but I'll get him back eventually. Haku swallowed the sushi in his mouth before chuckling.

"You should've seen your face!" He spluttered, still laughing.

"Yeah, yeah, laugh later! I'm still hungry, and that looks delicious!" I retorted, again reaching for the plate. The same thing as before happened and I huffed in annoyance.

"Open up." Haku demanded.

He picked up another piece using his chopsticks, and this time it made it to my mouth. I chewed slowly, savouring the taste. It was really good.

We spent around an hour, just sitting, eating, and chatting with eachother, until Haku peered out the window and his face lit up.

"It's almost dark out, we should start getting ready." Haku said, hopping up from the couch and throwing off the apron he was wearing.

I smirked, grabbing Haku's yukata out of the bag, placing it on the couch and standing directly behind him. He teased me earlier, and I was going to get back at him. I placed each of my hands at the hem of his shirt and tugged at it lightly as I leaned down to whisper in his ear.

"Does this mean I get to help you get undressed?" I asked, attempting to make my voice deeper.

Haku shivered as my breath hit his ear, and his face exploded in red.

"W-W-W-Wha...?" He spluttered, not even being able to form a sentence.

I took a step back and broke into laughter, making Haku even more confused.

"Got you! You didn't think I was going to let your teasing slide, did you?" I asked. "Now we're even."

Haku covered his face in his hands, still spluttering. I approached him again, kissing his cheek before grabbing my yukata and heading to my room.

"I'm going to go get changed now." I said before leaving the room.

Haku just stood there.

OKAY! WHERE DO I START?!?!

I've been super busy, and updates have been slow, but I promise you I haven't given up, I still have big plans for this story! Also, sorry about the pace of things, next chapter will be the festival, but after that, it's back to the actual plot, I promise!

P.S, There are lots of grmmar mistakes, but I typed it on my laptop, which doesn't correct what I type. I will edit, but not until later. Hell if I'm busy, maybe never.
