Charlie Gilbert was your typical normal popular girl along with her twin sister Elena and her best friends, Bonnie Bennett and Caroline Forbes. She was dating the mayor's son and was captain of the cheerleading squad. Nothing could go wrong, till her parents died.

Now Charlie is facing a completely new world after her sister begins falling for a vampire. She never felt more out of place after becoming a rare witch. But to survive her new life Charlie is gonna have to be a renegade against a thousand year old prophecy.
