Time. So much time has passed. Seoul had changed. People changed. Families have completely changed. Cha Min-Seo had what she always wanted. Money & status. The power of reincarnation was successfully a monopolized profit for the young CEO. What of her research participants ? They still remained in their cryogenic chambers, heavily comatose.

Min-Seo sat in here office when Dr. Lee frantically came in to see her. "What is it ? You seem to be anxious, Dr. Lee." Her tone was sweet masking the annoyance. "They woke up, Ma'am..." 

Cha Min-Seo snapped her pencil in half as she looked at Dr. Lee, a smile still on here face. "다시 한 번 말씀해 주시겠어요?" (Care to repeat that ?) Terror. Fear. There was no telling for how anyone truly felt in this room at this moment. "The patients have, um, woken up finally..."

Min-Seo made a gesture to Secretary Oh to check on what Dr. Lee was saying. The cryogenic chambers were set to run on nine distinct cycles. It also was the namesake for the research program. 

Secretary Oh looked on as the cryogenic chambers were stuck on cycle seven. "Dr. Lee, why are the chambers stuck on cycle seven ?" Dr. Lee pointed at each chamber where the bodies inside were waking up, "저는 모르겠어요. 고장난 것 같아요."(I have no idea. I think it is broken.)

Slowly one by one the chambers opened. Secretary Oh put on a smile as seven pairs of eyes slowly settled on their surroundings. "Welcome, um, back. We've been anticipating your return." 

They were disoriented, but that was to be expected. They were adjusting before Secretary Oh had Dr. Lee lead the seven of them away. Secretary Oh headed back up to speak with her boss. "So ? Is it what I think it is ?", Min-Seo asked as she typed away on her desktop. 

"맞아요. 그들은 깨어났어요. 팀원들이 적응하도록 하고 있어요 그들의 가족에게 알려야 할까요?" (It is. They have woken up. I have the team getting them to adjust. Should I notify their families ?) Secretary Oh was a bit worried. Those cryogenic chambers had helped boost Min-Seo' company at the expense of seven people who have finally opened their eyes again. Was this all worth it ?

Min-Seo scoffed as she looked at Secretary Oh, "Notify the families. I will hold a press release before this gets leaked."

There wasn't much to it now. Min-Seo quickly sat in front of a camera, making a statement. "I am proud to announce that the Cycle 9 research participants have woken up & will be returning home. N.L.I wouldn't have made the stride we have with reincarnation if it wasn't for their generosity & participation."

The start of her statement was about the seven who woke up far earlier than she intended but she had something else to announce, "N.L.I will present the first open free trials of the R9 watch. State of the art technology that will help all ages track their reincarnations & will be saved data here at N.L.I. Nine cycles , nine lives."

Once that was done Min-Seo headed down to see her research participants. She wasn't going to let them ruin all of her hard work. Not now. Not ever.
