In front of the mirror

she stood,

and sighed

at her chocolate brown self

wishing,

if it had been a splash of vanilla...

"love yourself" said everyone

but it was easier said than done

all the ones who said,

were fairer....

they will never understand.

yet she tried to love herself

but now,

she was exhausted

never knew loving herself

could be so hard

still, she continued

she had no choice

pursued to love herself

hoping, that one day

the world accepts her

as she is....

One day she realized,

the solution was not

'world acceptance'

but,

'self acceptance'

Standing in front of the mirror

she smiled,

admiring her chocolate brown self

no more sighs

and sleepless nights.

Finally, she said

I love me!!
