"The Department of Artificial Intelligence? She's studying Artificial Intelligence?" Wei Wuxian looked at the tall building made out of glass and steel. It gave off the futuristic feeling and when they entered, the receptionist was a female android. She scanned both of them and greeted them politely.

"How may I help you, Second Young Master Lan?" 

 "We are looking for a student named Tang Yan, she is in her first year?"

"Please wait a moment, Sir."

Wei Wuxian observed the female android searching her database for the student, and he walked around it to check something.

"Say, Miss, what's your name?" 

The android answered that promptly, "I am the newest model from Lan's Tech, serial number 5285590-A but the students called me Miya."

"Nice to meet you Miya."

"Nice to meet you too, Miss… I'm sorry I can not find your data in my database."

"That's because I am not a student here. Probably." Wei Wuxian chuckled.

"I see. The student, Miss Tang, has been informed and she will meet you in the meeting room 1. This way please."

They followed the android into the meeting room one and Wei Wuxian couldn't help but whisper to Lan Wangji.

"Can I see her inside?"

"Hm… probably need more than a few dates to take a peek at her inside."

"Ha ha funny. Since when did you become a clown?" Wei Wuxian pinched Lan Wangji's waist. 

"You have to take responsibility for my bruised waist later."
Wei Wuxian glared at him. How come the Hanguang Jun became so… shameless? But then the door to the meeting opened and a petite girl with short hair entered. She looked much younger than her seventeen years old, maybe that's why the pedophiles mistook her for a younger girl.

"Hi, I'm Tang Yan. How can I help you, Second Young Master Lan?" She nodded to Lan Wangji and her gaze fell on Wei Wuxian. "And this…" 

"My name is Wei Ying, and we would like to ask you a few questions about your… unfortunate accident, if you don't mind?" He waved the girl to the chair. "I know we shouldn't probably pry about your private matters, but hear me out. Last night, when I camped in the mountain, a girl barged into the camp, all bleeding and almost died. Fortunately we could bring her to the hospital quickly, and there we found out that she was held for some time without her consent, and she was violated until she's… pregnant. Does that sound familiar to you?" Wei Wuxian knew that this was the only way to approach Tang Yan, and he prayed that hopefully she wanted to help them.

Tang Yan was quiet, her fingers were fidgeting, but other than that she didn't look much different than when she first came in. Her expression was flat, but Wei Wuxian thought that he saw a flash of anger in her eyes. Good. That meant she had a strong fighting spirit.

"You know… I thought I had put it all behind me. I tried so hard to work my ass off just so I could get a full scholarship to this place, and just when I was out with my friends to celebrate it, I was suddenly woke up to a strange environment, and this guy… this… fucking guy… wearing a mask, was lying on top of me and he was heaving hard like a dog." She stopped to compose herself, and Wei Wuxian gave her a bottle of water. "Thanks. Anyway, they did not think that I would regain my consciousness that fast, so they did not… restrain me. The other two guys were drinking beers and eating in the background, like it was just a daily occurrence for them." Tang Yan drank the water and paused for a second. "I knew that I had to get away quickly, before the other two took their turns and maybe killed me, so I… headbutted the guy on top of me, and kicked his… disgusting thing, and ran out of there as fast as I could, until I met a good samaritans who happened to be near there and she helped me to the hospital and took the… test."

"Did you see their faces? Or where they held you?" 

"It was some kind of a small cabin in the woods, but it was near the highway since I walked for about… five minutes before I met the woman who happened to drive past there. And unfortunately I did not see their face"

Wei Wuxian looked at Lan Wangji. That must have been a different place, since the one they found was near the river and it was way beyond the highway. 

"Anything else you remembered? Sound, smell, anything?"

"Uhm…" she twisted the bottle around while closing her eyes. "Ah, I remembered that I have a needle mark, and a part of my hair was cut, so I cut it all."

Wei Wuxian then took out Detective Jiang Cheng's card and gave it to the girl. 

"If there's anything else that you remembered, doesn't matter how small or insignificant, call this person. You may speak to him freely, he's a nice guy. Or tell him if you want to speak to me. Okay?"

The girl nodded, and Wei Wuxian could see that her eyes were glistening.

"Miss Tang, I see that you have excellent grades." Lan Wangji suddenly interrupted and gave her a card. "If you want to, please contact this person. He is the one in charge of recruiting people. We also gave exemplary students full scholarships together with boards and meals. The benefits will be greater than your ordinary scholarship, if somehow you're interested, give this person a call and tell him that I gave you his contact."

When Wei Wuxian saw that she was hesitating, he tried to reassure her.

"Rest assured this is not a bribe or something. Lan Zhan here would not give you that option if you're not that good. We just want to take care of you."

After a minute, she nodded.

"Thank you. I will work hard to not disappoint you."

"Good. Now off you go. Thanks for your cooperation."
 
They waited until Tang Yan left the room before they discussed her escape.

"She is a strong girl, she will be fine." Lan Wangji touched Wei Wuxian's back reassuringly.
 
"I know. So, three people with masks. And they probably cut her hair and took her blood for souvenirs." Wei Wuxian thought about it. "And different places. Did they know that their covers probably had been blown and they moved to the more rural area? That woods was so dense, no one was crazy enough to go there without specific things in mind."

"Like you and my mother."

"Yeah, that too. But I remember there was a small service road, big enough for an ATV. We should get back there."

"Tomorrow. Now we have to go to the hospital, and Hua Cheng just told me that the gangs will be at the Crimson Butterfly tonight and to drag your ass there whether you want it or not."

"That must be Qingqiu. Fine. Let's go to the hospital now."
