The Despair - "Burning the Candle" ~Jeff Williams & Alex Graham

I opened my eyes, not expecting to be someplace I wasn't. I looked around and was unable to ascertain my location. I was in a medical room. I sat up, slowly so as to not open any wounds, when my hair fell over my eyes. The different shades of red, orange, and yellow blocked my view. 'How long have I been here,' I thought. A gasp came out from somewhere to my left, and a pair of arms wrapped themselves around me. "Arsen!" The voice was feminine, and familiar. I felt a wetness begin to seep into my shoulder, 'She's crying. She must be important to me.' I hugged her back, unable to hear her incoherent nonsense. I took a whiff of her perfume, it was a subtle scent, something almost nobody would notice. It was a combination of lilac, vanilla, and a flower from the everfall forest, I don't recall the flower's name. It was intoxicating, I put my face into her neck, and brethed her in, the perfume was mixed in with the scent of ink, parchment, and old leather. In that moment, a lot came rushing back. I took my face away from her neck, and got a clear look of her face. It was my fiance, Mercy. I smiled at her, "Morning Love." She smiled back, relieved that I remember her. She gave me a soft peck, something quick and sweet, like her. Her deep lavender eyes sucked me in, and I almost lost myself in them. At that moment, the door swung open, and Proffessor Goodwitch entered. She looked at us, and waited for us to stop sharing our feelings with eachother. This took three seconds. When we stopped, a dark blush spread across both of our faces. "Now that the 'activities' have ended, may we get onto serious matters?" She had a quizzical look on her face, expecting something out of either of us. "Good, now, we should let Arsen get some actual clothing on, before we head any further." We nodded, and Mercy swished her tail back and forth, a little upset, but knew it was the best course of action. She turned back around to me, leaning down, her horns seem more prominent. [[Yeah, she's a dragon Faunus, what of it?]] She gave me a peck on the cheek, and then left with Glynda. I got out of the bed, my footing was a little shaky, but I managed. 'Argh, I forgot to ask how long I was out...' I gave out a huff of indignation. 'I guess it'll have to wait for another time.' I turned towards the closet beside me. I opened it, and inside was my armor, and my clothes were freshly cleaned. I took off the patient's gown I had on, and put my clothes on the bed. I first put on my white tank top, it was tight, but it was flexible, and worked the best as an undershirt. I then slipped on my jeans, I already had my other undergarments on, as well as my belt, and put it to a comfortable tightness. Next came my hoodie, it was black with purple lines going around in different patterns. I slipped it on over my head, when a shriek of agony was let out. I couldn't determine who it was, when I finally felt my own jaw was open. I didn't noticed the bandages going around my abdomen, and I opened a wound, that was never even there. I put some pressure onto my wound, waiting for a nurse, or a doctor, to come. They should have surely heard me scream just now. When no one came through the door, I realized that nobody might've heard me. I sidled over to the door, trying to not open any other wounds, and tried to open it. It wouldn't budge. I looked at the door knob, hoping that it was supposed to be locked from the outside. Not only was it meant to be locked from the inside, it was in the unlocked position. I was stuck in here.

Mercy looked down at her fiance, lying in the sick bed. He had been there for a couple weeks now, and he hadn't come out of the coma yet. His entire team was also there, in their own sick beds. Zorgareth had a peaceful expression, and the other two's were unreadable. Arsen, he had a combination of pain, sadness, and possibly shock. She cried into her hands, hoping that he would wake up. Proffessor Goodwitch came in, and said, "Mercy... I think you should go, he wouldn't want you to lock yourself up in here, unable to train, go on missions, and just be unable to do anything. You should go and relax with your team-mates, staying here will do nothing for you." Mercy nodded her head, and wiped her nose with a handkerchief. "I guess so..." she got up slowly, and looked at each of them one more time. She nodded at Glynda again, and walked out. When Mercy was clearly out of sight and hearing distance, Glynda morphed into Emerald, and let out a chuckle. "This'll teach you." She grinned maliciously, and touched Arsen's temple, his face scrunching up, as if from a foul odor. She repeated this process, and then made a silent escape through the window. A nurse walked in soon after, and screamed in horror. All four of them were covered in blood, but there wasn't a single wound on any of them, they weren't even abke to tell the blood-type of it. A day later, the blood seemingly vanished into thin air, and everything seemed to be the way it was meant to be. A few days later, when they were meant to leave the coma, they were stuck in it, and there were no signs of them leaving any time soon. The doctors were baffled, bewildered, and most of all, in the dark about what would happen. All they could do was make guesses for when they would exit this, but they couldn't do anything more.
