There I was, lying on the ground, at death's door. My team was strewn about me, entire limbs and chunks, missing. When I looked up, I saw someone smiling and someone frowning. The one smiling, gleefully said "Oh, this one still has a bit of fight in him... fufufu." The one frowning said, "Is this really the end for-..." WAIT ONE MINUTE, YOU DON'T START WITH THE ENDING! Let's take this from the beginning.

The Beginning – "This Will Be The Day"

"This will be the day," I said to my team as we prepared for a major fight against the Grimm, then team RWBY decided to let themselves in, "Hey guys," said Ruby, the red-cloaked leader. "Give us five minutes," Zorgareth, my blade brother, said, which Weiss, aptly nicknamed ice queen, coldly replied, "Well, you've only got two." Zorgareth jumped over to his weapon, and hastily put it to his belt. I put on my chest-piece, clicked the arm and shoulder guard on, and swung Crescent Inferno, my own weapon, onto my back. I barely noticed Xie as he got his stuff together, but I was able to catch a glimpse of Yvon entering the bathroom, being the only girl, she deserves it. Ruby stood in awe at how we cohesively worked as a unit to get ready, Weiss humphed in jealousy, Blake was as uncaring as usual, and Yang tried to punch me in the gut for "showing her up." "Aren't we supposed to be going now?" I asked the four girls, to which they all replied, "Yeah..." Ruby and I took up the lead being the two fastest in our groups, Yang and Zorgareth bring a close second, and the other four, Xie, Yvon, Blake, and Weiss, bringing up the rear. Ruby and I made it there first, arguing about who stepped on first, and then Yang got on, as well as Zorgareth. "Arsen, that's unfair, you used your symblance," said Zorgareth, "You too, little sis" said Yang, to which me and Ruby goofily smiled back. The others got on before we took off, they all said, "We... made it..." and they all then collapsed. Zorgareth, Ruby, Weiss, and I went over strategies most of the way, and then for the last bit, I fell asleep, and have no idea what happened. I woke up right before we landed, and RWBY was standing around me, they all had a worried look on their face, was I saying or doing anything to worry them... anyways, as they noticed my eyes were open, they all separated, and went to a different part of the ship. I sat up and took watch in the front, relieving Professor Ozpin for now. I sat there for the last few minutes 'till we had to land, and as soon as it did, Ozpin was outside, waiting for us. "Teams AXYZ and RWBY, this will be the day we've waited for, this will be the day we open up the door, don't be seen as small and helpless, or as just a child, surprise them all with the warriors inside." That was when it happened, a Nevermore dove down and attacked. Team RWBY having already dealt with one, jumped into the last plan they had used, but, there was one fatal flaw, they required a cliff, and there wasn't one around. My own team, team AXYZ, jumped into action, Yvon springing me into the air, and Zorgareth being launched by Xie. I switched Burning Judgement into dual flamethrower mode and with my symblance, which allows me to control the temperature in specific areas, was able to reach the large bird-like Grimm. Zorgareth used his weapon Night Blade, and with the red/flame dust, was able to grab onto my back. We used our combined momentum to land right on the Nevermore. Z, as I like to call him, began slashing at the neck, whereas I switched my weapon into anchor form (DON'T QUESTION IT!) and began to swing it around, cutting the feathers off the wings. Yvon and Xie, on the ground protected everyone else by neutralizing the falling feathers before they could do damage. Yang could be heard swearing, Blake actually looked impressed, Weiss was red with jealousy, and Ruby watched me intently, hoping I would turn my weapon into my dual scythes. I stared at the ground, looking for Ozpin, and then I saw him, RIGHT BESIDE ME!!! I almost dropped my weapon, but I shook it off, pretending I didn't notice him. Z finally got a nice gash into the neck and shouted at me "SWITCH!" I ran over, and slammed the anchor as hard as I could into the neck, the bird's screech into the heavens was ear-piercingly loud, and then stopped abruptly. RWBY cheered as Z and I jumped the five-hundred meters or so off of the falling bird. Z almost lost his breakfast, whereas I asked if we could do it again. Yang hugged me with the force of a trash compacter, Ruby shot at two Ursa coming up, Weiss set a glyph perimeter, and Blake patrolled said perimeter. Ozpin walked up behind after Yang let go, and said "Meet me at my office when night falls." He pointed at one of the larger tents that were already put up. ~few hours later~ I knocked on Ozpin's office door, and he said for me to come in. I opened it, and took a step inside, and then sat on one of the chairs. I asked him, "Why am I here professor?" "Well, your team was selected-..." He began, "You know that's not what I meant," I had cut him off with. "Yes, I know, it's about what you did earlier today." He replied, his voice becoming less cheery with each word. "The Nevermore? Or, something else...?" I asked him slowly. "You saw me, on the Nevermore, you and I both know it. My question is, how were you able to?" He had asked me this with full certainty that I would know about it, but I just looked down, and I felt him, staring at the top of my head, waiting for an answer.
