Chapter Five: U.A. High School, The School For Heroes

(Y/n) was walking with Aizawa out of their (now shared) apartment. The young boy still had a lot to learn and to get used to, but what was the point in waiting for all that? It could honestly take years! Despite having seen the outside of the apartment complex and the parking lot multiple times since he's left the asylum, (Y/n) was still amazed by all the colors and other things he saw. He had taken a particular liking to birds. He saw them as these beautiful fluffs of color floating in the wind.

He was even more excited when the two of them rode the train to school. There were so many people, and seeing the sights move swiftly passed him out the window was amazing! The people around him thought his behavior was a bit strange, but then again no one truly spared him a glance. This was the opportunity of a lifetime for him, he finally got the chance of being normal. Not to mention he got to go to school for heroes! That's a good thing, right? Why do I feel like it's not? What's wrong with me?

The train stopped a good few blocks from the school, but even then (Y/n) could see the campus from there. Aizawa had told him that he had managed to make it to class 1-A, which meant he would be seeing Aizawa when he was at work as well. Even though the boy had already seen the school before, he was just as amazed as the first time he had been exposed to the building and space on campus.

Aizawa had also told him that after about a month he would be moving into a dorm room at the school, meaning he would no longer live with Aizawa and he would have his own space. He was going to be near his classmates, "So he had better learn to get along with them." Aizawa also said that "Just because I know you personally doesn't mean you'll get special treatment."

He was really just excited beyond belief. School was a new thing to him, people were new to him, everything he had experienced in the past week had been completely different from what he was used to beforehand. How was he going to make friends, or just get used to everything in general? He had been in nothing but terrible places up until now, so what was he to expect?

When the two reached the classroom, Aizawa walked in with (Y/n) in tow. Aizawa quieted the class and made (Y/n) stand at the front of the room. At first, he was excited, he thought it'd be no big deal, but he was actually nervous now that it was happening.

"Come on, we don't have all day, and time is too precious to waste," Aizawa said in a bored tone.

"Oh, okay." (Y/n) began. "Hi everyone, I'm (Y/n). It's nice to meet you all..."

The class was surprised by the lack of feeling in your introduction, but you had yet to notice the looks on their faces.

"Okay (Y/n), you can sit in the open chair in the back." Aizawa foretold, finishing attendance.

Seeing as Aizawa wasn't in the mood to teach, most of the class was quick to try to get to know you. For some reason, you couldn't care less about these people, but someone in the front of the class caught your eyes. You got up from your seat and approached the grumpy blond, suddenly interested in him. (Reminder from the author: This is not a romance.)

"Hey, what's your deal?" (Y/n) asked, oblivious to the fact that that was rude to ask.

"What the hell? Why do you wanna know?" Bakugou replied.

"Because you seem noteworthy, I guess. That's and you're not screaming at me right now." (Y/n) smiled. Bakugou scoffed and looked up at you from his seat.

"Whatever, fine. Name's Bakugou Katsuki." Bakugou said, being surprisingly polite.

"Well, you already know my name, but's it's (Y/n), and I don't have a last name to tell you." (Y/n) grinned sheepishly, not expecting him to believe you.

"That's weird, but okay. And you look like you stand out enough, maybe you're not an extra." Bakugou grumbled.

The class looked at the two in shock. Not only had the new kid totally ignored them, but now he was successfully having a conversation with Bakugou! Not only that, but they seemed to be hitting it off! It was weird, seeing someone possibly become friends with him so easily. But then (Y/n) said something that swept the surprise right out of the class's minds.

"Anyway, what's up with the green-haired, generic looking guy? He seems kind of weird. No offense to him, but still." (Y/n) commented. Bakugou smiled a bit. This guy seems okay...

"That nerd is Deku. I suggest not getting involved with and his weirdo group of friends, especially the half-and-half bastard." Bakugou told him.

"Bakugou, that's rude! And what do you mean extra?! You can't just label people like that!" Iida scolded.

"He seems annoying." (Y/n) said bluntly.

"Yeah, he's one of Deku's friends." Bakugou suddenly had small explosions surfacing from his hands.

"Bakugou, you're being a bad influence on him, and shut up. I'm trying to sleep." Aizawa butted in. The class quieted down, some of the students murmuring about the new kid. He hasn't even met us, and he's just like a non-explosive Bakugou!

"You know, from the little I know about heroes, and after meeting Midnight and Present Mic, I never thought this is what future heroes acted like. But I guess they all have to start somewhere..." (Y/n) mused under his breath.

"HEY!" Bakugou yelled. There he is..!

(Hi! I know I normally update on Mondays and Fridays, but I need to get a little note out so I can continue writing this. I need help with ideas for the hero costume. The only thing I can really say is that it has to have headphones. Please comment and tell me your ideas, or if you want you can give me the link to a picture, but I just need ideas. I'll make sure to give credit to whomever's idea I end up using.)
