Appearance: Asher is one of the few members of Team Magma who is taller than Ember, standing at 5' 11". At a glance, one would assume he'd be working for Team Aqua since he doesn't have pasty white skin. He has dark hair and needs glasses to see things up close. His glasses and wiry figure is the only indication that he could possibly be in Team Magma.

Personality: Asher is a very caring person. Unlike Ember, he relies on his emotions and helps her open up a bit more because of that. He's very upfront, and will speak what's on his mind. This can get him in trouble as it's very hard for him to keep a secret.

Past: Asher is one of the few members of Team Magma to join at a young age. Before joining, he ran away from home as his parents didn't want him to become a Pokémon Trainer. They didn't think he would ever be ready. Asher wanted to prove his strength, so when he was eleven, he stole a Pokémon from a professor living nearby and ran away.

While he ran away, he ran into Ember, who was considering joining Team Magma at the time. She was the one who told him how strong they were, making Asher realize how powerful they were. He decided to join them as well, more so that he would never have to deal with his parents. While he did this, he adopted the surname, Ray, as he found it symbolic. Rays of a sun mean the start of a new day, for him, it was a start of a new life.

Asher did date Ember at one point, but it didn't work out for many reasons. For one, the two weren't compatable. The other reason being that during that time, Asher realized he didn't like girls that way. Not even a year after their breakup, he started talking, and eventually started dating, a member of Team Magma, Thomas.

Pokémon Team:

Blaziken. Male. This is the Pokémon Asher stole as a little Torchic from the Pokémon lab. Being young, the Pokémon didn't really know what was going on, but was happy to have a Trainer take care for him. While he may look tough, Blaziken is a bit softy, and loves to make people happy.

Donphan. Female. This Pokémon was the first Pokémon Asher caught. She is the strongest out of the three, and loves to battle.

Torkoal. Male. Despite how slow this Pokémon may be, Torkoal is very strong in battle. He is full of surprises, and can be a bit too much to handle at times.
