Zero
It was late, and I was walking home from one of my best friends home. The lack of people was gathered, as we had a large number of killings. The police had put out a town curfew, but sadly I had to stay longer than expected at Jade's house and now it was way past the curfew.
My phone pinged, letting me know that I received a notification - just as I was looking down, I tripped and fell face first onto the soft, green grass. I heard smashing sounds in the area and instantly knew that my phone must've smashed when I fell.
"Fuck," I muttered, as I examined my leg - perks of being a famous doctor. It was definitely dislocated, I was lucky that I hadn't fractured it or worse, broken it. That would totally ruin my cross country competition in three days.
"I think you dropped this," I heard someone say, and I look up to see a male - light blonde hair, lay stylishly around his head - his piercing green eyes looked animalistic. "Here, let me help you up." He says, holding his hand out for me to grab.
"Thanks," I muttered, as I brush myself off and see if I can still put weight onto my dominant leg. I could, but there was still a twinge of pain in it. He handed me my phone and I cursed under my breath.
My mum was so going to kill me, "Is there somewhere you want me to drop you off?" He asks, and I shake my head. I sigh, as I look down at my leg, realising there was blood - I cursed even more.
I'm so screwed. "No, my house is just around the corner. I'll be fine." I say, before getting ready to walk away - when he wraps his hand around my bicep, and that's when I felt it. The cool metal barrel of a gun.
"I think it's best you come with me girl, you don't want to get hurt?" He asks, but it was in more of an order. I tried my best not to show fear, but with a gun pushed against your back - how could I not?
"Look, I'm just five minutes away from my home - I can go get money, jewellery - whatever you want," I say, trying to remain confident but my voice trembled in the middle and he lets out a small chuckle.
"I don't want money or jewellery, you silly girl. I want you," He says, grabbing my throat before I hear sirens and a lot of them. I tried to move around, in an effort to keep my life - and he grabbed me tighter and I winced.
This caused him to smirk sadistically, "I'll see you soon," he says before running, I gasped for breath as I fell to the floor - groaning in pain.
"I've got the girl, go after Max." I heard one of the policemen say, but I was wrong - it was an FBI agent. "Are you okay miss?" He asks as he puts his hand out for me. I knew the handprints were going to bruise.
"I'm good," I answer, looking at the floor. "I was just walking from my friend Jade's house - I tripped and he helped me up. I didn't know he was going to do that." I say, my bottom lip trembling.
"It's okay, you're safe now. Let's get you home young lady." He says, and I nod as he leads me back towards the black government owned SUV. Glad that I had survived the attack but not knowing what to say to my mum.

"Thank you for saving her..." She says and he looks up at my mother.
"Agent Gideon, Miss. You're welcome. But please make sure to keep off the streets when there is a curfew." He says, and I nod - rubbing the back of my neck as my mum shuts the door and glares at me.
"I'm sorry mama, I should've been more careful," I admitted, and she sighed before pulling me into a tight hug.
"It's okay bambino, just be a bit more careful next time. There's not always going to be agents to save the day." She says, and I start to think - saving people is in my blood. I think I know what I want to do now.
