______
"Harry?"
Remilda slowly approached the crouch in the Gryffindor Common Room where Harry was seated. He hadn't left since he got back from speaking with Dumbledore. No doubt that he had more than enough swarming around in his head
"Harry, are you okay?" Remilda asked as she slowly sat down beside him, "George says everyone's taking the news hard in the Order. So if you want to talk, in sure there are people who will listen. I'll listen if you want,"
"I'm fine, Remilda," he replied, his eyes not meeting her own. His hand that was on the armrest was picking at a loss thread so that's where his eyes were. "but how long did you know?" he asked, glancing at her and then the few prophets that people had been passing around. On the top half it read 'HE WHO MUST NOT BE NAMED RETURNS' and at the bottom it read 'Harry Potter's Sister'.
It had come out when Voldemort possessed Harry. He told Harry about Remilda, and when Harry came out of it he asked Dumbledore and the Minister overheard and it became big news next to Voldemort's return. She wasn't just;
"Remilda Jane Potter, Harry's cousin from America who had to move because of some circumstances." which was what she was used to.
Now she was; "Harry Potter's older sister that James and Lily Potter hid before they were killed."
She didn't really have a name when it came to a lot of people. She was just The Sister now. She had tried not to dwell on that much, but it was difficult when people were always asking questions about it. Even people like Ron and Lucy who had known Remilda for a year.
"Since a week or so before Valentine's Day..." Remilda confessed.
Harry sighed heavily and slouched more in his seat, "And why didn't you tell me?" he asked.
"Because things were fine before," Remilda said quickly, not really thinking about how she worded it to him. "Me and Rae, we were...are, I don't know...well me and her grew up together. My...dad or uncle or whatever, he raised me. You were my cousin. Being your cousin was enough to talk about..." she said leaning back on the couch.
"Does your dad know that you know?" he asked, "Uncle? What do you think you're going to do?"
Remilda covered her eyes with her hands for a moment and rubbed them, "I don't know, Harry..." she stated, "I'll probably call him my dad still, and Rae is still my sister." she shrugged, "Changing what I call them would just be...too much."
Harry nodded, "Yeah, it must be hard finding out you have more family-"
"Harry, don't you start that again," Remilda groaned, "you're my brother, I'm not going to deny that. You're more stuck with me than you were when we were just cousins." she said, finishing with a smirk.
Harry chuckled.
"Come on, we should start heading to the train. The others already left." she said, smiling a bit at the change of the mood.
The two of them hurried to catch up with the others. Raelyn had already climbed onto the train along with Lucy. So Remilda quickly told Hermione, Ron, and Harry that she would see them later before running off to catch up with Lucy and Raelyn on the train. She weaved past a few first years, and made her way past a clan of third year girls who were squealing dramatically to one another about their plans for the summer as they slowly made their way to the train. When she finally made it to the scarlet red train, she climbed on and made her way towards the dining car where she had first met Lucy. Lucy had said that she would save a table there for them, so Remilda knew that she didn't really have to be in a rush. But she was excited to get back to Kings Cross. The Weasley's were going to be there and chances were that her father would be as well since the Ministry had announced his pardon in a lengthy apology that was published on the front page of the prophet along with the confession that Voldemort had in fact returned and the news that Harry Potter had a sister.
As Remilda stepped into the dining car, it was already almost full with sixth and seventh years along with a few second years. Then, at one of the tables sat Lucy and Raelyn. So Remilda made her way towards them and plopped down beside Raelyn, it was like a huge wave of relief washed over her. Sure, she knew things wouldn't be easy know that everyone knew about her real parents, but this school year; this horrendous school year (even though it had a handful of good things come of it) was finally over. Her father wasn't going to be going back to Azkaban any time soon, and Hannah was going to be coming to visit this summer.
"I can honestly say, that this has been the longest term ever," Lucy sighed heavily, "I'm glad it's over."
"Back at Ilvermorny, we all thought it was just an exaggeration about Hogwarts," Raelyn stated, "it was a joke that it seemed like Hogwarts couldn't just have a normal year."
"I don't think normal is possible as long as the famous Potter's go here." Lucy said, smirking a bit towards Remilda. "What are you and Harry going to do?" she asked.
"I'm trying not to think about it too much," she replied, "it's all a bit confusing really."
Raelyn scoffed, "You can say that again,"
As the train began to pull out of the station, the three of them remained in conversation about the year. What they enjoyed, like their meetings with the D.A., and what they wouldn't miss. Like Umbridge, like everything that happened at the Ministry, which was something they opted to not bring up more than necessary with Harry. They also talked about how ridiculous it had been that it took the Ministry of Magic a ridiculous amount of time to even admit that Lord Voldemort had come back.
As the sun had begun to set again, the train finally rolled into Kings Cross Station. And as soon as it did, the masses of people waiting for their family members to get off the train were massive. Just like before when they came back for Christmas. There were witches and wizards in bright colored robes, some in Muggle attire, and some had banners floating above them with their respective students' name on it. One of which read OLIVER CAPULET, Oliver Capulet was a red headed Slytherin in Remilda's year. People didn't pay that much attention to him, he was friends with Malfoy but he didn't really seem as horrendous. He even thought Fred and George's dramatic exit was spectacular.
"Do you think Malfoy's mum will show up?" Lucy asked quietly as the train began to stop. "His dad is being held for trial after...you know."
"I bet she won't," Raelyn confessed, "I bet she wants to just hide like Malfoy, did you notice that he stopped giving everyone a rough time after it happened?"
"Do you think she's a death eater too?" Remilda asked.
Lucy scoffed, "Course she is, last time, the Malfoy's just convinced the Ministry they were under a spell to follow Voldemort. Clearly that was a lie..."
The three of them filed off of the train, and immediately began to scan the crowd for the Weasley's. Remilda was looking for one Weasley in particular, after a few minutes of weaving through the crowd, a small swarm of red heads appeared looking towards the train and waiting. Molly and Arthur Weasley were both there, along with George Weasley.
Remilda eagerly hurried past a family that was at that moment reuniting with their first year students.
"George!"
She smiled as he turned just in time for her arms to lock around him in a hug. As his arms wrapped around her too, she couldn't help be feel good about everything that had happened. Transferring schools, despite everything else, seemed fine wonderful even.
"I missed you," she sighed heavily, smiling as she looked up at him.
"That's a shock, I didn't think you had time to miss me. Sounds like you've been busy according to the Prophet." he replied, with a smirk on his face.
Remilda chuckled a bit, "I suppose it was a bit busy." she shrugged nonchalantly.
