Arthur Weasley's release date got pushed back a few days, but as soon as he was able to leave, he came to Gimmuald place. Which had been completely vacant of any festive decor until the owl came from Molly saying that she was going to be leaving with Arthur. As soon as the news came, everyone pitched in to make sure the house looked festive for Arthur when he arrived.

"Aren't you coming, Harry?" Remilda asked as she passed the boys room after changing into the old festive red sweater that her mother had made her wear every year when they went to her parents house for dinner on Christmas. Harry was taking his time, changed into nice clothes but still sitting on the edge of his cot.

Harry looked up quickly, "Yeah, yeah, I'm coming," he said as he stood up.

"Everything alright?" Remilda asked raising an eyebrow as Harry followed behind her.

He nodded, "Just thinking," he stated, "that's all."

The two of them made their way downstairs. From the dining room, they could hear everyone's voices. Molly fussing to make sure Arthur was alright, Raelyn and Ginny filling the twins in on the Quidditch team. The two of them made their way there, and were greeted by the smell of everything that Molly had prepared for the Christmas dinner.

Remilda smiled as she plopped down at the end, next to Raelyn who was deep in discussion about the new dynamic of the Quidditch team. Remilda smiled as she looked at the table and where Arthur Weasley was seated. His face was scratched up, and one of his eye was black and blue. He was seated in a wheelchair that was wheeled up to the table, and a hand that was rested on the table was swollen and cut up as well.

"Is everyone here?" Molly asked, quickly bouncing her finger from person to person counting. "Sirius!" she called waiting a beat but then a smile grew across her face. "Before we eat," she paused, "presents!"

Remilda smiled as Molly turned around eagerly and picked up two presents at a time. She handed one to Hermione, one to Ginny. Then she picked up two more and handed on to Fred and George, double guessing which was which. But then laughed it off and handed them over. Then she picked up two and the both to Raelyn.

"One from us, and one from Sirius." Molly smiled, and then looked up towards the doorway and Remilda followed her gaze. Sirius stood there, leaning on the doorframe.

Then she picked up two more at random, handing one to Ron and then quickly hurrying to Harry with it. She then went back and picked two more up, "Remilda," she smiled handing them to her. "One from us and one from Sirius." she beamed as Remilda took the two gifts.

Remilda looked at Raelyn who had opened a box and pulled out a dark purple sweater, with a big R on the front. So Remilda opened the one that was bigger, and pulled out a magenta colored sweater with a big R on it.

"I'm sorry it's not a more different color dear, I didn't think that yours would look so much alike." Molly said from her place behind Arthur.

Remilda shook her head, "I love it, Molly, thank you." she smiled and Raelyn nodded in agreement.

Remilda then picked up the smaller box that had a folded piece of paper tied to it. Remilda glanced towards Sirius who was watching contently as everyone opened their gifts. So Remilda took out the paper and unfolded it and found that it was two pages.

Remilda didn't remember the specific day, but she did know that for the first five years of her life she was absolutely terrified by wands. She'd just see one and would start sobbing.

Remilda smiled as she read the letter. She then folded it back up, and picked up the small box that came with it. She quickly unwrapped it, and found another small piece of paper. It was rolled up like a little scroll. She glanced over at Raelyn who was still reading her letter. Remilda sighed as she unfolded it.

She quickly scanned it, and looked down at the golden necklace. A gold chain, and then a oval gold charm. She picked it up out of the box and turned it around in her finders. It was a plain charm she thought at first, with a simple engraved border. However there was a thin crack down the middle. She stuck her fingernail in and popped the latch...

"-to Harry! Without him..."

Remilda quickly closed her hand around the locket and held it in her palm as Raelyn's elbow nudged her.

"I probably wouldn't be sitting here today." Arthur Weasley rose his glass, and everyone rose their glasses as well.

"To Harry!"

Later that evening, after Remilda had put her things away, she tucked both the note and the letter away in a safe place in her bag. She also put on the necklace, it had been a nice Christmas. Despite her father's absence. But after the sun had gone down, Remilda made her way downstairs, to get a hot cup of coffee, or tea, or whatever was down there. In there, Arthur and Sirius were sitting in there, reading the prophet and talking.

"I just came to get a drink," she said quickly but as soon as Sirius offered a smile. She realized something, the gift had supposedly been from him, but the letter said it had been given to Remus. "Sirius," she began. But it was almost as if Sirius knew what she was going to bring up.

"Why don't we talk in private," he said, "you don't mind do you, Arthur?" Sirius asked as he pushed himself up from his seat.

Arthur shook his head, "Not at all." and then offered a reassuring smile.

So Sirius and Remilda left the dining room and into the hallway by the entry way.

"The gift wasn't from me, the gift was from your father." Sirius explained simply, "Your father sent it to me a few days after he got to Toronto. The letters were with Remus, but since last night was a full moon, he had me put them with the gifts."

Remilda sighed heavily, "But...why?" she asked, "I mean, not why you had them, why did I get the letter?" she asked, "Is my dad staying in Azkaban?"

A frown spread across his face, "I'm not going to hide anything from you, or Raelyn," he sighed, "but at this point, his name has been trashed so much within the Ministry...the odds of the charges being lifted are next to none."
