1.20 ϟ One Thing After Another.
Remilda and Raelyn sat with their backs against the wall; watching the others practice disarming their opponents. Remilda was just keeping Raelyn company. Raelyn had been helping Neville, and the spell hit her in the face and had given her a bloody nose. So she was sitting out, holding her cloak to her nose until it stopped. Of course Neville felt awful, and had apologized a dozen time before finally agreeing he would keep practicing. This time Pavarti had gotten stuck with him, so Raelyn got a break.
"How's it feeling?" Remilda asked, glancing to her sister beside her.
"Fine." Raelyn said shortly, "Is it bad I can't wait to leave for Christmas?" she stated, turning towards Remilda.
Remilda shook her head, "But won't you miss anyone?"
Raelyn nodded, "Well yeah," she paused, "but at least we'll get to see Dad still this year..."
"The hearing could get him out too." Remilda reminded her.
Raelyn let out a big huff of air and then turned her attention back to the group. Remilda did the same. Lucy had come up with the idea to have a table of snacks and water at the meeting since it was the last one before the holiday. At the table, was Lucy, the twins, and Nigel (who was listening eagerly to whatever story the twins were telling). Remilda smiled, Lucy had changed a lot. As rough as the year had been, Lucy really had opened up quite a bit. Even to Harry. She had also gotten more nosy though, for example when she helped Hermione interrogate her that night after the D.A. meeting.
"Are you glad?"
Remilda quickly turned her attention back to Raelyn, "About?"
Raelyn smirked, "Spending the holiday at the Padfoots? With the Weasleys?"
Remilda rose an eyebrow, "Well, I mean, we are friends with them so I guess so."
Raelyn shook her head, and took a moment to make sure her nose was done bleeding. "You know what I mean," she started, "with George."
"Not you too." Remilda groaned.
Raelyn laughed, "It's obvious, Remmy." she confessed, "Seems like you are the only one who doesn't think so."
"There's nothing to be obvious." Remilda replied.
Raelyn rose her eyebrow, "That's why you asked Lucy and Hermione if he liked you back, hm?"
Remilda's cheeks flushed red, "They told you about that?"
"Of course they did." Raelyn shrugged nonchalantly. "But I knew before...it's really not a secret."
Remilda rolled her eyes. It was going to be a long holiday if Raelyn knew there was a chance she liked George Weasley. And the long holiday break started early the next morning as everyone made their way down to the train. Then once they boarded, Remilda, Lucy, and Raelyn ended up sitting the dining car at one of the booths. Then as soon as the train jolted into motion, Remilda rested her head on the table and before she knew it, she was sound asleep for what seemed like a minute before Raelyn reached across the table and shook her awake as she grabbed her bag from the shelf above their table.
"Thought you'd never wake up..." Raelyn chuckled, "you and Lucy were out cold since we left the station. Well, Lucy was." she said, with a smirk as Remilda groggily got up and grabbed her bag as well.
"Mhm," Remilda muttered, not paying attention much to Raelyn.
"You were talking in your sleep," Raelyn began quietly from behind her, "about a certain some-"
Remilda rolled her eyes. She stopped on her tracks, so Raelyn stumbled to stop before she ran into her. Then with that, Remilda turned and stared at her sister.
"Seriously, can you stop bringing it up?" she stated.
Raelyn rolled her eyes, "Why?" she asked, "Why don't you want to admit it?"
"Because Voldemort is back, mom just died, and Dad is in Azkaban. It's not really a good time to like anyone." she said in a harsh whisper as they made their way off the train, "Where's Lucy?"
"She went to the bathroom and was going to go talk to a few other friends before we got to the station."
The two girls got of the train, and immediately began to scan the crowd of parents looking for their kids. Usually, they'd be looking for their father or mother. But in just a few short months, they had lost both, and now they were looking for Molly or Arthur Weasley. But the platform was beyond crowded. Everywhere there were people standing on one place, shouting across the platform. Greeting someone who was a good distance away still.
"This way girls,"
"Olivia! Olivia over here!"
"William! Oh, Will, I've missed you!"
The last one was a woman right night to Remilda. Her son, who was probably a first year or so, was right in front of her though. But she still felt the need to scream her welcome.
Raelyn grabbed Remilda's arm, and began weaving their way through the crowd to find their welcome party. However, they only found Hermione and Harry.
"Where is everyone?" Raelyn asked.
Hermione quickly looked at Harry, a shocked look on her face. "You said you were going to tell them, Harry!" she exclaimed.
"I was going to, I couldn't find them on the train!" Harry said quickly to defend himself.
"Tell is what?"
Harry sighed, "Yesterday, after the D.A. meeting, I had a...a dream. About Mr. Weasley. He had gotten attacked at the Ministry by a...a snake I'm pretty sure."
"That's a pretty specific dream," Raelyn stated.
"It turns out, it actually happened," Hermione continued, "I cannot believe you didn't tell them Harry," she said looking at him again before back at the two girls. "Ron, Ginny, and the twins went to see him last night."
Remilda felt sick to her stomach at the though. Arthur Weasley? Attacked by a snake. At the Ministry. She wasn't very surprised that something like that would happen there.
After a good ten minutes of the four of them just standing around, waiting. Finally, a very flustered looking Molly Weasley was hurrying towards them and waving towards them. She looked as if she hadn't gotten much sleep.
"I'm so sorry," she quickly apologized as she gave each of them a very quick hug. "I had to make sure Arthur was settled at Mungo's, then I had the twins get Ron and Ginny to the house to clean up, and then I came here to get you lot." she explained quickly.
"It's alright," Remilda assured her, "Is Mr. Weasley alright?"
She forced a smile onto her face and nodded, "Thanks to Harry," she said as she put a hand on his shoulder. "he should be able to come home in three days. So, just in time for Christmas."
Mrs. Weasley had everyone hold hands, and they apparated to the entry way of Grimmauld Place. Remilda had never really minded apparating. Raelyn however, couldn't stand it. Every time, she got sick. So without fair, as soon as they hit the ground her skin went ash pale, and her knees were weak. She quickly snatched her hands away, left her things and hurried up the stairs and to the bathroom.
"Poor thing," Molly muttered, "why don't you all go get settled?" she suggested as she walked past them, "I'm going to go get dinner going."
Hermione and Remilda each picked up their bags, and each took one of Raelyn's as well. Harry took his, and the small group began to make their way to the stairs that Raelyn had just booked it up. As the walked passed the sitting room, however, the twins were both in there. Fred was in the armchair, sound asleep and then George was on the couch sound aslee.
"I guess nobody got sleep last night," Hermione whispered.
Remilda sighed, "You guys go ahead, I'll be right behind you."
Once they were going, Remilda quietly set down her bags, and quietly made her way over to the couch were George was. She gently tapped his shoulder until he began to wake up. It took a few moments, but eventually he woke up enough to acknowledge that Remilda was right there but he quickly went back to sleep.
"George," she said quietly, nudging him.
"Hm?"
"How's your dad? Was what happened because of my dad?" she asked quietly so she wouldn't wake Fred too.
George quickly opened his eyes and looked up at her, "What do you mean because of your dad?"
"Was he trying to do something to get my dad out?"
George sighed, "No. They don't know what happened, he might know though. Ask him when he comes back."
