Maria Hospital: Staff Room, East Wing

Hearing the sound of my heart beating so fast I could feel it in my ears, I tried to calm myself down. I was nervous, rightfully so. That day was probably - no, definitely the most important days of my life.

I breathed in deeply, trying to calm myself down, but every time I thought about what would happen in about seven or eight minutes or even glanced at the time on the clock that hung above the closed door, I only would only start to freak out again. I started pacing around the room with my hands squeezed tightly together, my mind too occupied to notice another presence in the room.

"Calm down, Levi," A voice spoke, breaking me out of my thoughts. I turned to look at the person. "I know today's your special day, but you're a nervous wreck."

"No shit, Sherlock," I stated bluntly, still pacing around the room, "Erwin, how am I supposed to calm down and not be a nervous wreck when so many things could go wrong?"

"Just close your eyes and breathe deeply," He instructed, placing his hand on my shoulder to lead me over to a chair so I could sit down, "Count to ten if you have to."

I did as I was instructed, counting to the requested number in my head. One, two, three, four...

"Try not to think about what's about to happen in about..." He looked at his watch that was resting on his right wrist, "three minutes."

I opened my eyes again, glaring at the taller man in front of me, "Now you just made me think of it again. Thanks a lot, Erwin."

"Hey," He said with with a grin and his arms up, a motion of mock surrender, "I got you to stop thinking about it, didn't I?"

I breathed in deeply before releasing it in the form of a sigh in defeat, looking at my black leather shoes, "Whatever."

Maria Hospital: East Wing Garden
19th Of September XX15
12:00 pm

The chatter that once filled the garden quieted down once the bells had sounded, filling the now peaceful air. I only wished that the thoughts running through my head were just as peaceful.

My breath was shaky but I kept my face composed, not wanting to show my nervousness. However, although I tried my best to, I couldn't stop my hands from trembling, nor could I slow the rapid beating of my heart pounding against my chest.

Bringing me out of my thoughts, the choir to my left began to sing their harmonious melodies as the garden's large wooden double doors opened. I shifted my gaze to the figure who rested behind those very doors.

There, was the love of my life, looking as beautiful as the day I first saw him. He wore a white suit and his brown hair was combed and gelled back, instead of his usual messy hairstyle. I didn't think it was possible for someone to look so magnificent.

He was wheeled down the aisle by non other than Dr Hanji, who practically raised him as her own. His biological father couldn't be contacted so she was the next best option, but I wasn't complaining.

At last, he had finally arrived at where I stood and I was amazed at how much more handsome he looked up close and personal. I smiled at him even though he could see it, but he kept a grin on his face ever since he wheeled through those doors.

Hanji sat down in the front row once she was done with her job and, with that, the marriage officiant spoke to begin with the ceremony. I prepared myself for the long speech ahead.

"Levi Ackerman and Eren Jaeger - Today you enter as individuals, but you will leave here as husband and husband, blending your lives, expanding your family ties, and embarking upon the grandest adventure of human interaction. The story of your life together is still yours to write. All those present have come to witness and celebrate your love and commitment this day - eager to be a part of the story not yet told."

"May you always need one another; not to fill an emptiness, but to help each other know your fullness. May you want one another; not out of lack, but to feel the warmth of their touch. May you embrace one another; not to encircle one another, but to give comfort. May you succeed in all important ways with each other, and not fail in the little graces. May you have happiness, and may you find it in making one another happy. May you have love, and always find love, in the pursuit of loving one another."

"When you love someone, you do not love them all the time, in exactly the same way, from moment to moment. Such is an impossibility, and even a lie to pretend to. And yet this is what many of us demand. We have so little faith in the ebb and flow of life, of love, of relationships. We leap at the flow of the tide and resist in terror its ebb. We are afraid it will never return. We insist on permanency, on duration, on continuity; when the only continuity possible, in life as in love, is in growth, in fluidity - in freedom, in the sense that the dancers are free, barely touching as they pass, but partners in the same pattern, as they share their common journey."

As the man finished his speech, I began to speak my vow to the brunette in front of me, trying not to stutter, "Eren Jaeger, I acknowledge my love and respect for you and invite you to share my life as I hope to share yours. I promise always to recognize you as my equal and always to be conscious of your development, as well as my own. I shall seek through kindness and understanding to achieve with you the life we have envisioned."

It was then Eren's turn to speak his vow, "Levi Ackerman, I promise to always be there for you, to shelter and hold your love as the most precious gift in my life. I will be truthful and honor you, as I embrace as the most important part of my life. I will care for you always and stand by you, even if I physically can't," He chuckled to himself a bit at that before continuing, "In times of sorrow and joy, forever nurturing the love I feel for you." I felt a smile growing onto my lips as he finished his vow.

The ring bearer then stepped forward, presenting two golden rings. I picked up one of the rings and held up my lover's left hand as well. I placed the ring onto his fourth finger while saying, "I give you this ring, a symbol of my love, as I give to you, all that I am, and accept from you, all that you are."

Eren picked up the other ring, with the help of the ring bearer, and did the same as me whilst saying, "I give you this ring as a symbol of my love for you. Let it be a reminder that I am always by your side and that I will always be a faithful partner to you."

"And with the power vested in me," Announced the officiant, "I now present you husband and husband. You may now kiss your groom!"

And I complied with the officiant's final words, and kissed the person I devoted my whole life to.
