Seclusion

I woke up to the crime alarm. Going off. At 4 AM.

Worst. Alarm Clock. Ever.

Even though these crime sprees no longer pertain to me anymore, I still want to know what the Team will be doing. I figured I would monitor them and see how they handle things without me.

I groggily walked out of my room just as the others did. We ran to the Ops Room and looked at the screen.

"Plasmus." Robin said.
"Why does he have to eat sewage at 4 in the morning. He should be sleeping." Beast boy said in a dry, tired tone while rubbing his eyes.

"She should be sleeping now all the time BB." Cyborg reminded.
"Oh yeah."

"Titans GO!" Robin yelled. Everybody moved but me.

"Hey Raven you coming?" Beast Boy asked groggily.

"I can't." I answered quietly.

"Why not?" He asked.
"C'mon Beast Boy. I will explain it to everybody when we get back." Robin hurried him. Robin looked at me, nodded, and left. I looked out the window. Star was carrying Robin by the elbows and Cyborg was riding on Beast Boy's back as a pterodactyl.

Plasmus. Out of all of the villains for them to fight, it has to be the one they might just need me most for.

I'm really the only one that can defeat him in a short amount of time. Sigh. I will just watch them then.

Yawn

Or maybe go back to sleep for a few hours. No. I can't. I never can.

I should take a pain reliever. I've had this headache for a while now. Even though I know it won't do much good.

Rage is destroying me from the inside out. I tried reading last night and my head felt like it was going to explode.

I decided to look through my old stuff in the basement instead of watching them. I can always do that on my communicator.

I took the elevator down to the lobby then took the stairs to the basement. I turned on the light and looked for my labeled box.

I found it.

Old books.
Sculls.
Old relics.
Nothing abnormal.

But out of the corner of my eye is saw another box marked with my name, but it wasn't written in my handwriting. My instincts tell me to ignore it, but to be honest, I really want to open it.

I walked over to it and opened the box. All it's got in it is a book with a simple circle on the cover.

I opened it and flipped through the pages. They are all blank. Who makes a blank book? Nobody, because there is something on the page in the exact middle. The Mark of Scath. As soon as I laid my eyes on it a bright red-tinted flash blinded me.

I'm being filled with dark energy. I can feel it. Dark magic, just like Malchior taught me. But this wasn't Malchior. This was my father. I managed to close the book before it finished what it wanted to do.

"Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" I said weakly. Then it burst unit flames of dark energy and was consumed.

I looked at where the book was.

Then scanned my body. I look totally fine. I feel fine. I don't sense anything. I guess I'll check on the team.

I punched in the code in the keyboard on the main computer and the screen came up with Robin in Plasmus's hand and Star trying to free him. Cyborg is riding around them on Elephant  Beast Boy shooting his laser cannon at him.

I have to help them. Even if I'm not there. If I don't this will not end well.

"Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" I yelled. My soul self speared from my body and I flew to Plasmus and inhabited his body, made him explode, and quickly returned back to the tower.

Star lowered Robin to the ground.

"Thanks Rave!" Cyborg cheered as he threw a thumb up into the air.

I see Robin's face though. He looks happy and a bit forlorn at the same time.

"Keep going Raven." I heard somebody say.
"Who's there?!" No answer. Now I'm hearing voices. I'm going insane.

~~~~~~~
"Hey Raven! We're back!" Beast Boy yelled.
"Hi."
"Thank you again friend Raven for defeating the Plasmus!" Star thanked me.
"No problem."
"Yeah Raven. That was pretty brave of you to do from here." Beast Boy said. Robin's and My eyes grew wide.
"Brave?" I said.
"Yeah! Ha ha!" Then he look at mine and Robin's face. "What's wrong?" We stared at him until my surprise turned into slight anger. The look on my face told it all. Robin came and put his hand on my shoulder.
"Calm down Raven. I'll explain." He said calmly.
"Explain what Robin?" Cyborg asked.
"Well, you both know about Raven's mind, but Star doesn't."
"What about her mind Robin?" Beast Boy and Cyborg explained my mind to her.
"Oh. Okay."
"You aren't surprised?" I asked.
"No! On my planet people always have the other worlds in their heads that people can come to any time!" Then she gave me a big gaudy smile.
"Anyways...Trigon," I coughed. "let her anger and frustration, a feeling that she usually keeps locked up, out into the open landscape of her mind the other day." He started to explain.
"When she looked like Trigon?" I coughed a little harder.
Robin nodded.
"And by order of Trigon," I coughed even harder. "-are you okay Raven?" I nodded. "And by order of Trigon, her rage is the trying to capture all of her emotions and destroy her from the inside out." I coughed even harder, but I temporarily silenced it with my powers. "He already has control of her bravery, happiness, and passion."
"And messiness." I added.
"When?" Robin said looking surprised.
"Last night."
"....And her messiness."
"So what does that mean?" Cyborg asked.
"Well since it was Rage that took them over, if she feels happy, brave, passionate, or messy about something, she will get really angry shortly after." Robin continued.
"Okay. I can see that there is a much bigger problem than this." Beast Boy said.
"There is." I started. "When my demon side gets out, it's when I let my temper take over and I get really angry. But I'm usually able to calm myself. But the other day it went all the way, and now, if it happens again, it will be permanent. I now I can barely feel at all without getting really angry." I finished.
"Rage is scary man. Did she get that yellow one, or Timid?"
"No not......*sigh* Nevermind."
"What is it?" Robin asked anxiously.
"She got Lazy."
They looked at me.
"Don't worry Raven. We will search for a way to stop him." Robin said.
"I thought you all were really tired? It's still like  5." I asked.
"We all did the agreeing on the way back to the tower that our drowsiness was no longer in us!" Star said happily. Something I could not be.
"Oh. Okay."
Beast Boy put his hand on my shoulder.
"Don't worry Raven. We'll find a way to stop Trigon." And he gave me a smile.
But it didn't last for very long because I went into a coughing fit. It was bad. My face is all red and flustered, and I'm barely breathing. Then I passed out.
Corrupted Raven's POV:
I got up feeling strong.
"Raven?" The green boy asked.
"No." I said in my gruff version of Raven's voice. "I am here to give a message so I'll make it quick. Raven has officially one week left, then she will go to her father and help him. There is nothing you can do about it. So don't waste your time." Then I faded away, unfortunately will my job concluded, I have to return to my master.
Raven's POV:
I woke up in the safe room. I was chained to the ground. I am genuinely scared. I struggled to get out, for my powered were not working in here.
I struggled until I realized struggling won't do anything.
Ugh. I can't stand up cause the chains chant my hands to the floor tightly when I'm on my knees. I tried getting up, but then I twisted my ankle and fell to the ground. I broke down in tears because I know that in a week I won't be myself anymore. I will be his pawn to use.
Robin's POV:
Raven is crying. She never cries. I want to let her out, but I need to keep her isolated and run some tests.
"Robin. Raven is the crying." Star pointed out.
"Yeah man this is wrong. We should let her go." Cyborg suggested.
"I would love to be I need some tests to make a potential antidote."
"Fine. But il going to go talk to her." Beast Boy said. I don't no now why I just let him out of the room.
Raven's POV:
I head the door open. And my cry turned into a whimper. It was Beast Boy.
"Hey Raven. You don't have to talk to me if you don't want to. I just came to tell you a couple of things. Some you light like, and some you might not. But Robin hasn't planned on telling you these at all so this is better than nothing. Robin is trying to make an antidote for you so he has to run some tests, so you'll be in here for a while. But this will keep you safe." He stopped. "Robin wants me back in the control room now, but I can visit until he lets you go."
I nodded. He smiled and then he left. I'm alone. Totally and utterly alone. I have a feeling that this whole thing will not take a week. I only have two emotions left. Timid and Knowledge. I know it's only about ten o'clock, but I'm so tired. I'm just going to sleep now. I don't even care if I ever wake up at this point.
