{LUCY'S POV}
My plan has backfired. Seriously backfired. I did this entire faking amnesia thing to avoid telling Natsu that I'm pregnant.

And now here I am, looking at Natsu's betrayed expression because Levy-chan just told the entire guild that I'm pregnant because she thinks I don't remember that I'm pregnant.

Confused yet?

Everyone crowds around me, Levy-chan, and Wendy, shouting questions. Erza, Gray, Gajeel, and Romeo have formed a border around us three, keeping the others from bowling us over.

Natsu hasn't moved since Levy-chan said I was pregnant. Happy has been poking his face and waving his paws in front of his eyes for the past few minutes to no avail. He just stays focused on me, making me fidget. Has he figured it out?

"Who's the father?" He suddenly asks. I guess not.

Levy-chan and Wendy look at me. Everyone quiets down. I shrug. "I don't know."

"Calm down." Erza says. "We'll figure this out."

"I'll kill him." Natsu says simply, and stalks out of the guild hall. People make a path for him. My heart sinks. Great, he hates me now.

"Look," I say, "I'm sorry, but this is overwhelming. Can I... take a break?"

"Sure Lu-chan." Levy-chan says. She leads me out of the guild hall.

"Is he going to be okay? Natsu?" I ask.

"Yeah. I think everyone's a little bit upset you didn't tell them." She gives me a pointed look. "A little part of me still wants to believe that you're faking all of this. I did warn you, Lu-chan, that you're digging yourself a deeper hole."

She's right. "I'm sorry?" I have to fake this, but I really am sorry Levy-chan.

Levy-chan sighs. "It's fine. But if your hole gets any deeper, it's gonna be hard to get yourself out. I hope you remember everything soon, Lu-chan."

We've reached my apartment, and Levy-chan says goodbye. I open the door, step inside, and close it behind me. Then I sink to the floor and burst into tears. I've never felt more alone. I wish I had the courage to tell everyone the truth.

"No. You've come this far. You can finish what you've started." I give myself a pep talk. But there is one thing I'd like to clear up.

I summon Loke.

"I knew it." He says as soon as he appears. "You're faking it Lucy."

"How'd you figure it out?" I ask.

He tilts his head. "A gut feeling, I guess? As your spirit, I can sense when you're hurt or in danger. Then Virgo told me how she protected you and I knew I was right."

I forgot about that. "Please keep it a secret Loke."

"Of course." He nods, making a motion with his hand like he's zipping his mouth up and locking it and throwing away the key.

*the next morning*
{NATSU'S POV}
"You're pregnant, Lu-chan." Levy's words play over and over again on repeat in my head.

I feel like I'm falling. Ever since Levy said those simple words, I feel like the ground has slowly been crumbling out from underneath my feet.

The sun is shining just a little bit duller today, my world is just a little bit darker.

Deep down, I know. This is all my fault. It was because I couldn't protect Lucy that she got hit by that rubble. I never should have let her go.

And now, I've lost her forever. I'm gonna find a way to cure this amnesia, bet on it, but that won't change the fact that Lucy's pregnant.

No wonder she smells so weird. She's got another man's baby growing inside her. I was kidding about killing them. I'll just maim 'em a little. I don't want Lucy to be with anybody else, but... but if he makes her happy then...

No! I shake my head to clear it. Who Lucy makes babies with is none of my concern. I shouldn't care.

Was it someone from the guild? Or someone totally different? Who was it??

"Are you okay Natsu?" Happy asks worriedly. "You're making a face like you're constipated."

"I'm fine." I snap.

"Aye..." He says, and I feel guilty.

"I'm sorry little buddy." I pat his head. "I'm okay, really. Just thinking about something."

Happy starts panicking. "Red alert! Red alert! Everybody hide! Natsu's THINKING!!!"

I laugh halfheartedly at Happy's joke (at least, I think it's a joke), until I smell a familiar scent entering the guild hall.

All eyes turn to Lucy as she walks in, and conversations falter. It's as if everybody's faking it. My heart starts beating faster and faster as she gets closer to me. I can almost forget that Lucy's pregnant with someone else's child, and I'll never be anything except her best friend.

She approaches me cautiously. "Um, Natsu, right?"

It hurts that she can't even remember my name with certainty. "Yeah."

"Well," She fidgets with her hands. "I was with you yesterday on job right?"

"Yeah." Could she have remembered something?

"That means... err... we're teammates, right?"

"Aye sir!" Happy jumps into view. "Don't forget about me Lushi!"

She stares at him, then giggles. "Of course Happy. So, um... do you think maybe we could go on a job?"

"Sure." I grin.

"Wait just a moment." Erza comes forward. "Lucy's pregnant. She can't go on a job."

"That's right Natsu." Gray says.

"But I went on one before?" Lucy asks.

"That's because we didn't know you were pregnant at the time." Erza explains.

"I still went, even though I must have known. Besides, it shouldn't be to big of an issue if it's an easy job, right?" Lucy presses. Is she really talking back to Erza?

"Fine." Erza concedes, and that makes Gray decide to come too. I grin and run to pick out a job. I come back with a monster subjugation request.

Erza bonks me on the head and puts it back. Then she comes up with a different monster subjugation request. "At least get the one with the higher reward." She chastises me.

"Isn't this one twice as hard?" Gray asks, looking at like. "Doesn't that defeat the purpose of getting an easy job for Lucy's sake?"

A glare from Erza shuts him up. We go out and get on the train, and I immediately get motion sick.

It dawns on me, as I watch Lucy interact almost like normal with the team that we never told Lucy Happy's name. So how'd she know it?
