Precious Moments 《2》
I look down at his soft face and I couldn't help but smile. His pure white skin glistened underneath the light of the moon. This world will hurt you and your dreams will constantly be crushed and destroyed by many. But you will succeed. In the end...you will raise your head up in pride above the doubters. You will make a name for yourself.
Little Min Yoongi, sleep well. There will always be tomorrow....

As the world around me grows fuzzy and warm, I can feel the bright sunshine carress my skin, giving me goosebumps.
Opening my eyes, I am sitting on the ledge of an open window and my legs are dangling inside the house. Startled, I look around my surroundings but everything seems new to me. My eyes catch a mirror that was hanging on the wall and I gasp in surprise.
A little girl of 13 stares back at me with the same shocked expression. It can't be! Raising my arm, the little girl in the mirror copies my movements. Before I could ponder on what happened to me, I hear the door open.
A small boy with pale skin and black hair walks in. He slowly limps towards me and his eyes have a faraway look. Can he see me?
The boy continues to walk towards the window until our faces are merely inches apart from each other.
"I missed you."
What? He can see me?
Widening my eyes, I open my mouth to speak until he interrupts me with his raspy voice. "Don't worry, I know you can't talk."
Confused, I tell him that I could.
But no noise comes out.
Trying again, I gently touch my throat to feel my voice box, but I still can't hear my voice. Giving me a slight smile, he tells me not to worry about it.
Somewhat upset, I look away from him. In the process, my eyes spot a worn old looking piano. How did I not notice that? The antique piano was positioned in the corner of the small empty room. Covered in a thin layer of dust, the piano looked....sad.
Pointing to the piano, I turn to the boy. "Can you play?" I mouthed with my lips. Pretending to play the piano with my hands in the air, the boy's eyes light up in understanding.
"It use to be my mothers."
"Ahhhh." I said. Pointing to him, I then motion towards the piano. When he gave me a confused expression, I sighed in frustration. Jumping down from the window, I grab his hand and lead him to the piano.
His hand is so warm compared to my cold one.
When he doesn't move, I frown back at him. "What's wrong?" I mouthed.
"I haven't played in a while."
"That doesn't matter." I mouthed but he sadly shook his head. Giving in, I stopped pulling his arm and let go.
Closing the distance between us, I smile cheekily down at him since I was taller.
"If I become taller than you, I promise that I will marry you." Yoongi blushed but stubbornly met my eyes.
"And if you don't?" I silently asked with mirth.
"Then you can marry me."
Covering my mouth as I laughed, my eyes twinkled at his logic.
Sitting down on the ground, I lean my back against the wall. The white curtains of the window dances and floats from the fresh summer breeze which cooled the small room.
Patting the ground beside me, he smiles and sits down next to me. When I see him grimace, I point to his injured leg.
"Basketball. I was on guard and got knocked down."
As he began to tell me about his game, I watched his dark eyes as they brighten up with passion. His voice lulled me into a daze, as I watch him describe the shots that he made and everything.
I wish this moment will never end.
As the air eventually grows cold fron the evening, I sadly had to say goodbye. "Will you be here tomorrow?" He asks.
I shrug my shoulders.
Heaving a heavy sigh, he mumbles something about taking a walk with his mom. My body begins to tremble in fear.
"Where?" I panicked.
When he didn't see my mouth move, I grab hold of his shoulders and gently shake him. My eyes are wide with fear as I slightly tremble when I ask the question again.
"Where?!"
Confused at my reaction, he shrugs his shoulders.
"I planted this tree on the top of the hill." Pointing towards the window, I can see the all too familiar place.
Shaking my head, I beg him to not go but he looked at me like I was crazy. In my last effort to stop him an idea begins to sprout in my mind.
Pointing to myself, I ask if he knows my name.
Frowning he asks me to write it down but I shake my head.
"Well how else am I suppose to know?"
Sadness heavily covers me as I slowly distance myself from him.
I guess this is goodbye for now, Min Yoongi.
I slowly fade away from the scene as he looks at where I use to be with a sad smile.
"I'll be back." I promised.
