A YEAR LATER

"Hey, Yukine did I do something wrong?" You said to Yukine as he continued to look out the window at Kofukus shrine. "No, I don't think. Why do you think that?" Yukine asked in a concerned voice, the hard wind blowing against his blond hair. "Well does it seem to you that Yato.....I don't know....like has a cold attitude towards me." You said hoping for some encouragement that you were wrong and that you were just thinking to hard as your back hurt from laying on the wooden floor.

For a moment the room was quiet and you had wondered if it was wrong to ask him until you heard the young boys laughter fill the empty room. You were a half-phantom and was waiting for Yato to grant your wish. You couldn't quite remember how you had become it but it must have been bad since Yato nor Yukine will tell you. Even though Yato was going to fix you, you honestly liked this form. You felt free, met new and interesting folks, and had been through conflicts with the trio. They were like a real family and who wants to give a family up?

" So you really want to know..huh." Yukine said after a deep inhale of air. He then turned towards you and sits on his knees across from you.

" A year before we met you there was a girl who was also half-phantom. She was pretty, with coconut hair and purple eyes. Her name was Hiyori. She saved Yato from getting hit by a bus leading to her changing into a half-phantom and meeting Yato. That's when I came in and met the bith of them and learned I was a regalia. She always visited us and helped us go through many battles. We all were a trio that faced battles together. Until..she wanted to cut ties with Yato..and s-she..left...us...a-a-"

You stood up and brought Yukine into a warm embrace as his wet tears fell onto your shoulders. I understand..I'm half-phantom so I remind him of Hiyori. Cutting ties..I heard Yato mention it one time. That..must have been hard on them if it was that strong..no..since it was that strong.

"I'm here Yukine so stop crying. I'm here now so its okay." You said and rubbed your hands through his soft hair. " Thank you..so much." Yukine said and hugged you tighter as if not wanting to let you go. You tried to contain your tears but eventually accepted it knowing Yukine needed someone to share this shallow pain with.

Meanwhile Somewhere Else

"This is going to be interesting..my dear Yato." said a soft voice.
