"Okay! Okay! I dare you to... " sniggered sophia, looking around the bar where she was sitting with jake. "hmm.. Oh! I dare you to grab someone's number in here!"

"Anyone's?" said jake, taking a sip of his beer.

"Yep!"

"huh.. Okay"

Jake then stumbled off his chair and walked away, but then suddenly turned around and began walking back towards Sophia.

"Hey before I go, I was just wondering if you can sign a form for me?" he said, now looking at sophia who was guzzling the rest of her drink.

"What form?"

"Just this one.. "

Jake then handed her his phone, sophia looked at the screen.

"Jake this isn't a form, this is to make a new contact"

He them folded his arms, raised his brow and put all his weight to one leg.

Sophia's eyes then widened

"Hey! That's cheating!" she replied in a giggly tone.

"Ah ah! You said anyone. So anyone has you included"

"Fair enough peralta.. "She then began to type in her number on his phone. "Here you go smartass"

"Pleasure is all mine" he said, slipping in his phone back into his classic leather jacket.

He then sat back down next to her. He couldn't peel his eyes off Sophia, his stomach fluttered with butterfly's and his heart melted at her warm smile. But he has only met her one day and  it feels like he has known her before.

"Sophia?" he questioned, in a more delicate manner.

"Yeah?"

"Did we ever know eachother?"

Sophia then panicked, she knew she didn't do something wrong. But if he found out that she was the reason why they broke up. Things will go back to the way they were.

A life without jake.

Hatred.

Alone.

And unloved.

"Uuh... No. I've seen you time to time. But never really spoke." she choked, always losing eye connection and she could feel herself getting hot with fear. 

"Ooh. I see"

"Why did you remember something?"

"No.. Am i meant too?-"

"NOPE" Sophia cut him off, as she partly jumped off her seat and placed one finger on his soft lips. She then looked at him who looked confused and scared. Sophia shook her head and sat back in her normal position.

"What I'm trying to say is that I don't want you to freak out on trying to remember what happened before. Doctors words that isn't safe, it could cause problems"

"I mean.. I guess so"

"Listen things are going to be okay. You've got your friends who still love you and even going back to work. So let's celebrate to that. Another round shall we?"

"Uh a hell yeah! DRINKS ON ME PEOPLE" shouted jake, as the crowd inside the bar cheered with glory.

"eh hem, Jake.. You know your broke. Right?" sophia whispered, pulling him down from his chair.

"Ssh... They don't need to know that.. "

"Feeling any better?"

Amy jumped to a soft sound of a male voice.

A familiar voice.

She then slowly turned her body to see who was behind her and took her into his home.

"Teddy?"

He just smiled and glanced his eyes on the floor. There he was, standing there with a glass of water. The warm orange glow hid his flushed face and made him look softer.

Amy then shook her head out of her day dream and shot herself up.

"Woah woah Woah! Take it easy!" he said, taking her arm and setting her back down on the sofa.

Amy held the side of her head. It was weirdly fuzzy and sore.

"oh god. What happened?" she said with pain.

"You collapsed"

"I what!?"

"Hey, it's okay. I was right behind you. I saw you leaving the building and you dropped one of your files on the way out. So I was trying to catch up to give it to you, but as I came round the corner. I saw you fall"

Amy looked at teddy, then at the fire place.

"How long have I been here?"

"Few hours or so." he said, checking his watch.

"Shit. Teddy I'm so sorry"

"Why you sorry for? I clearly wasn't going to just leave you there. I'm not that insane"

"Thanks.. I just. I-.." she stuttered

Teddy leaned forward on his seat, closer to Amy and waiting for what she was gonna say.

"What's wrong?"

"After the whole crash I haven't been myself"

"Crash!?"

"Oh, right. Sorry you don't know. Long story short.. Me and jake were in a crash. I just got out of hospital care today. I guess just being back outside was just a.. I don't know"

"Fright?"

"Yeah.. That."

"Ames- I'm still allowed to call you ames right? I mean I know we aren't in a relationship bu-"

Amy almost winces when she thinks back to the brief time that they dated. It had seemed like such a fairytale back then but now she sees that she was just too busy locked up about jake.

"Teddy it's fine. We are friends"

He nervously laughed and fixed himself on his seat.

"It's just been a while since we have talked. But as I was saying, I'm sorry to hear that. Just take it easy. If you want... You can stay here the night-Thats if you want!!"

Amy then felt bad for him. But why? He was being so nice, he took her in and helped her. Amy then checked her watch. It was almost midnight.

There will be no point in leaving. Right?

"Well it would be rude of me to leave now after all of this"

"Great! You can sleep here if you want. Or I have a-"

"I'll be fine here. Thanks"

"Oh, yeah of course. If you need anything just help yourself. You know where it is"

Amy laughed in return. She found it sweet on how nervous he was, it was like he has just met her for the first time. It was all strange how he has just popped back into her life.She then shuffled in her seat, pulling her weak legs closer to her body. The sound of the fire crackling blocked the awkward quietness and made it very soothing.

"I forgot how nice your house is. I thought I remembered that glass" she spoke.

"Ah yes, my grandmothers glass. Made in 1975 and has been passed down in many generations and stopping to me. I don't really understand the passion about it, but the engravings tell a beautiful story of history."

Oh god, he is blabbering on again. Don't yawn Amy! Don't yawn!

Amy then ripped out a yawn

"Oh. But I'm sure I'm boring you and you must be tired" he continues.

Teddy stood up, fixed his shirt and smiled at her. He then walked away, hearing his feet awaken the wooden creaks on the floor and becoming more distant.

"Teddy?"

"Yep?" he stopped, pursing his lips together

Amy slowly inhaled and sighed.

"Do you wanna have a couple of drinks? I was heading to shaws alone anyways till this happened"

His frown then turned into a pleased soft smile

"Yeah sure. I would love too"

"Rosaa"

Jake and sophia were now standing outside, holding each other's balance. Sophia  sniggered while jake was on the phone to rosa.

"What is so god damn important that you just had to call me at 12am!?"

"Come pick us up" he continues

"I am not driving down to Shaw's"

"Lies, you don't need to drive. Your apartment is right around the corner. Let me crash theree! Please?"

"Who you with?"

"Ma bud sophia here" he replied, slurring his words and holding her tighter.

"Nope access denied. Get a taxi"

"Ro-"

"Nope"

"Plea-"

"Still no"

"Ugh, I don't even know where I live!" cried jake

"Oh my god, jake! If I call you a taxi and give you your address, will you finally leave me alone!?"

"Can I get a love you on the side of that?"

Rosa then ended the call. They then both burst out drunkenly laughing.

"Jakey just come back to mine. You can crash at my place"

"Fantastic plan"

The dusk orange glow now died down into the smokey black coal. Amy and teddy still remained on the brown leather couch laughing away as the red wine in their glasses swirled about. Amy knew she was drunk, well...
Partly.

But she didn't care, she forgot about her worries, her work, her home and even jake. After multiple times of holding in her yawns she couldn't help but to slip one out.

"Tired santiago?"

"Ppft! Me? Tired." once again she yawned "Why would I be?"

"I think it's time for you to sleep"

"But the fun has just started!! Here let me help"

Amy then picked up the wine but was immediately stopped by a warm hand being handled over hers.

"I think you have had plenty"

She then guzzled the rest in her glass and gasped in desire to the rich taste.

"Ahh! Drink number fouurr"

"Four?"

"Uh huh.. " she leaned in closer

"Hmm.. Four drink amy" he mumbled, deep in thought.

Amy the shuffled closer, nearly crawling on her hands and knees. But teddy didn't notice at all, he was too busy thinking with his eyes drilled to the floor.

It then clicked

"Pervy am-!"

He was then cut off to something soft and sweet that smashed against his lips.

It was amy.

He could taste the rich blood wine off her small lips. He then gently pulled her away.

"Ames I just think your dru-"

He looked at amy and her head was hanging low. She was asleep.  Amy santiago fell asleep while kissing... Well. Partly kissing.

Teddy quietly laughed and placed her down, gently setting her head on the pillow and wrapping her up. He then brushed the few strands out of her face and smirked.

"Soon... "
