Chapter 3
Albus stood in front of the big manor door. He knocked trying not to think about it but his nerves were eating him alive.
Draco opened the door and smiled at the teen, "Al, what a pleasant surprise? Come in."
Albus walked in thanking Draco. Draco closed the door behind him, "how are you Al?"
Albus bit his lip, "I haven't been doing well to be honest. It hurts that he doesn't remember who I am. After everything we've been through, I feel like I did lose him in a sense."
Draco nodded, "I know exactly what you mean but if it eases your mind he has remembered some things about his childhood so it does mean that he can remember."
Albus widened his eyes, "that amazing. He might be able to remember me then."
Draco chuckled, "Al, I do however have one question. Why did you tell Scorp that you were his friend?"
Albus blushed, "the doctor said to not overwhelm him and well I think you might agree that finding out someone is your friend is so much less overwhelming than finding out you are in a relationship with a person who you don't know anymore. Besides if he doesn't remember it wouldn't make sense for me to just force him into this relationship or if he does remember and he doesn't feel that way anymore its just easier on him. He will know that no matter what I'm here for him so whatever he says goes. "
Draco was shocked, he knew Albus was a smart lad because his son always talked about him but he wouldn't have thought of that himself. If he was in his position with his wife back when they were dating he would just tell her and go from there. He would hate to lose Astoria from his life and he knew Albus felt the same way about his son but he was willing to put up with that pain to just be around him. "you're completely right. You should go to the garden, Scorpius is there under his tree with my wife. We'll leave you both to talk."
Albus nodded, "thank you."
He walked to the garden knowing his way around the Manor. He spotted his boyfriend under the tree they once had a date in. He looked so cute, he was wearing one of his sweaters that he stole back in school.
Astoria noticed Albus right away and smiled brightly. "Good afternoon Al."
Albus grinned at her, "Good afternoon Astoria, you look beautiful as always." He walked uo to her giving her a kiss on the cheek to greet her.
Scorpius smiled at their interaction, this guy was cute he had to admit. Astoria chuckled, "Im going to prepare a snack or something for you two to eat."
Albus sat down in front of Scorpius giving enough space between them like before they started dating. "Hi."
Scorpius hugged his legs up to his chest, "umm hi."
Albus felt awkward, "I know you don't remember who I am."
Scorpius gave him a shy smile, "I'm sorry."
Albus chuckled, "you don't have to apologize Scorp, that's why I'm here but if you want me to go I can go. I just want to help you remember more but please let me know if it's overwhelming you."
Scorpius shook his head, he wanted to know more about him already. "please umm tell me about yourself."
Albus blushed, he didn't know what to say about himself. "uh well let's see you know that I'm Albus and that I'm your friend. We both go to the same school-"
"Hogwarts! My mum told me about Hogwarts. I'm a slytherin, what are you?"
Scorpius looked so excited to know something, Albus thought it was cute. He cleared his throat, "I'm also a slytherin actually. I have a brother, James, and a sister, Lily. You also get along with them very well. Uh and well I also have a cousin that is our friend, she's Rose."
"I remember a Rose!" Scorpius exclaimed excitedly.
Albus pretended like he wasn't jealous, "that's fantastic Scorp. What do you remember about her?"
"she has red hair and brown eyes and she's also a gryffindor." Scorpius said grinning, proud of himself that he remembered something.
"that's very true." Albus said.
"why isn't she here? Not that I don't appreciate you here with me but you know she is also our friend." Scorpius felt his cheeks heat up, he didn't mean to offend Albus.
"well she's all the was in Florida at the moment but when she comes back I'm sure she'll love to come here. We kinda left her at Hogwarts after the game."
Scorpius nodded looking down at his hands, "so..."
Albus hated feeling like this, specially with the guy who always made him feel safe and happy. "I'm sorry, I just- well it's just that I've never had to.. You know... Do something like this?"
"well my parents have shown me things in photo albums, do we have any photos together?"
Albus nodded excitedly, "you have some here actually, if you want we can look at them and maybe tomorrow we could continue with some that I have or continue with the ones you have if we don't finish."
Scorpius grinned, "I like that idea."
-_-
They went to sit on the large couch together when Albus got the photos he wanted to talk about.
"this is you in your quidditch uniform, look!" Albus handed hin the picture of when he insisted to take a picture of his gorgeous boyfriend in his uniform. He could see the blush of his cheeks as he smiled and it was all because he kept insisting that Scorpius looked so cute in his uniform.
"why am I blushing?" Scorpius asked.
Albus looked at the picture again pretending to not have noticed it, "might be because you were nervous about your first game. I actually took the picture, thought it would look good and it was your first game."
"you always were cheering me on right? I remember that I think."
Albus nodded, "of course I cheered you on. What kind of bo-.... What kind of friend would I be if I didn't?"
"we won right? I remember we won and you told me it was all because I was a brilliant seeker." Scorpius said smiling softly at the picture.
Albus shrugged trying to not make a big deal of it, "I mean you are a brilliant seeker." He showed him another picture where both of them and Rose were in muggle London. Albus had Scorpius on his back but all of them were pointing out as if they were first time tourists. Hermione had taken the picture because she thought it would make a funny moment to remember. "here we are in muggle London because my cousin invited us to go with her. I carried you after you twisted your ankle. Aunt Mione put a spell on you so you were light as a feather and I could carry you for longer."
Scorpius looked at the picture smiling, "why didn't she just cast a spell on my ankle to make it all better?"
Albus knew the answer, they both just really wanted to be like that. It was a way to be in contact for longer. "oh well she shouldn't do that if she doesn't work in the medical field. It could've ended up like the time a teacher tried fixing my father's arm."
Astoria cleared her throat as she entered trying to make herself known to not scare both teens. "Al, are you staying over for dinner?"
Albus shook his head, "sadly no, I actually should get going. Thank you for having me here."
Astoria smiled at him, "thank you for coming and helping with Scorp's memory."
"Are you going to come back tomorrow?" Scorpius asked. He really wanted to see Albus again. Something inside of him couldn't get enough.
Albus nodded, "of course!"
Albus said his goodbyes and left. Scorpius stared at the door, "mum, I have a lot of history with Albus right?"
"yes, why do you ask?"
Scorpius shrugged, "it's not important."
Astoria nodded slowly, "well I'm always here if you need to talk."
"thank you."
