Three years later

It has been three years since Mira Brooks and her parents joined the Blue Moon pack. She officially became the luna of the pack and every member fell in love with her. Within those three years, Mira mastered using her two abilities, and her parents died fighting in a war against the Crimson Shadow pack. Their death was very painful to Mira, but with her mate and pack members, she was able to get through it.

Today is a special day for the pack. It was their luna's birthday. They have been preparing for the day since the morning. Alex, who is a beta took Mira out on advantage in the forest and also to collect herbs. She became friends with Mira on the day they got here.

"What's wrong Mira," Alex asked Mira as she collected herbs since she can smell her sadness

"Everybody wished me a happy birthday, except Max. I didn't see him all morning" Mira replied, sadly, "Do you think he forget?"

"I don't think he forgot, I think he is planning a big surprise for you"

"You think so?"

"I know so, he's my brother," Alex said smiling at her as the smell of sadness disappeared. For the next two hours, they continued to collect herbs.

"I think we have enough herbs, so we should start heading back"

"No!" Alex shouted, shocking Mira. Mira looked at her suspiciously.

"I mean, it's too early, we never get to hang out together, you're always busy doing Luna stuff," Alex said. Mira smiled at her in apology.

"I'm sorry, what do you want to do next then"

"We can go to the lake and take a swim, and you can do that thing you do all the time" Alex suggested to which Mira nods too. They made their way to the lake with their baskets full of herbs. When they got to the lake, they got undressed to their undergarments and went into the lake.

"This is nice," Mira said

"Yes, it is" Alex agreed. They played in the water for a little while before getting out. They sat on the rock to get dry before they put their clothes back on. After they got dry, they put their clothes back on.

"Creatures of the forest if you can hear me, please come out and join us. We will not harm you," Mira said calling out to the creatures that live in the forest with her eyes glowing brighter. She always does this when they come to the lake. The creatures, mostly deers and rabbits came out, walking towards them. A rabbit hopped onto Mira's lap and she caress it, while a deer dropped down next to Alex and put its head on her lap. The others surrounded them.

"Mira, I've been meaning to ask you since this morning. You smell like a preg–" Alex started to say but was interrupted by a mind link

"Alex, you can start heading back, everything is ready" Ben, Alex's mate said to her throw the mind link.

"We should start heading back, Ben said to come back"

"Why? Is something wrong?" Mira asked worriedly as she caress the head of the dear sitting next to her.

"No, there is nothing wrong. It's just we have been gone for like three hours or so"

"Oh really, then, we really need to go back"

"My fellow friends we need to get home now"

"I know, but we will be back next time, I promise," Mira said to the animals. The animals all went back to their homes as Mira and Alex made their way back to the pack house. As soon as they step foot on the entrance, they were hit with a surprise.

"Surprise!!" Everybody in the pack shouted to Mira, who was shocked but was happy. Two omegas came and collect the baskets of herbs from Mira and Alex. Mira was led to a seat with a big cake in front of it. Everybody sang happy birthday, then, she blew the candles out and began opening presents.

~Timeskip to a few hours~

Mira was being led somewhere blindfolded by Max. He told her he had a surprise for her.

"Where are you taking me?" she asked, laughing.

"It's is a surprise" Max answered, pushing the door of their bedroom opened and led her into the bedroom. He sat her on the bed. "You can take off the blindfold." Mira took the blindfold off and looked around and saw that they were in their bedroom. She look at Max and asked,

"Where's the surprise?"

Max smiled at her and turned off the light and played the video on the screen. Mira turned to the TV and saw her parents on the screen. She started tearing up seeing her dead parents.

"Happy birthday, Sweetie," her parents said once the video started, after the man, which she realized was Max behind the camera signaled to them that it was recorded.

"If you are seeing this, then, it means we aren't there to celebrate your birthday anymore." Her father said, smiling sadly at the camera.

"But, we may not be with you physically anymore, we are with you in your heart. We want you to continue living your life with Max and not be saddened by our death." Her mother said.

"Since we are not there to give you our present for your birthday, Max will do us the honor of giving it to you." her father said as Max gave her the present. She opened the present and saw it was a heart pendant. She took it out of the box.

"There is another surprise inside the pendant," Her father said. Mira opened the pendant and heard,

"We are always with you, Mira, never forget that. We love you" Her parents said through the pendant, which had their photo. She was shocked.

"You may be wondering how. Well, we had witch made it." Her father explained

"Whenever you are feeling low, just opened the pendant," her mother said.

"We love you, sweetie, Bye," her parents said smiling and waving to the camera before the video stopped. She held the pendant to her heart, smiling.

"Let me put it on you," Max said to which she nodded, giving him the pendant, standing up, and turning around. He put the pendant on her. She turned around and hugged him, which he returned. "I have another present for you." They stopped hugging. Max walked to their nightstand and pulled out a box from one of the drawers. He walked back to Mira and gave her the box. She opened it and saw a bracelet. She took the bracelet out of the box, setting the box on the bed. She admired the bracelet, and while she was, she saw writing on the inside.

"Always and forever-M" She reads.

"I will always and forever love you," Max said, smiling. Mira smiled back and put on the bracelet.

"Once you put this bracelet on, it won't be able to take it off. there was a spell cast on it, making it impossible to remove it. Also, it has a protection spell cast on it. It will protect you from being harmed. I know you can protect yourself, but encase your powers are sealed. This will be there." Max explained, putting his hand on her cheek. She smiled and kissed him. While they were kissing, they smelt fear and panic coming from their pack. They stopped kissing and look at each other in worry.

"Alpha and Luna, we have intruders!!" Ben yelled through the mind link.

"Send all omegas, children, and betas that can't defend themselves to the escape tunnel" Max ordered, then, he grabbed Mira's hand, leading her to the tunnel as well.

"I can stay and help" Mira argued as Max was pushing her towards the tunnel that pack members were going into.

"No, the intruders are probably the Crimson Shadow pack, and they are here for you. I can't let them have you. I made a promise to your parents that I will always protect you and I don't plan on breaking that promise. Plus, it going to get ugly"

"I can fight ugly"

"Not today," Max said and pushed her inside the room, and closed the door. The room can't be opened from the inside. He made his way out of the packhouse to face the alpha of Crimson Shadow.

"Finally, the guest of honor is here," Chad, alpha of Crimson Shadow said as soon as she saw Max.

"Chad, you and your pack aren't supposed to be on my territory," Max said calmly.

"Well, if you just give me what I want, I would be out of your hair"

"And what is it that you want?" Max asked, pretending to not know what he wanted.

"You know what I want. I want that omega of yours"

"Sorry, she not for the taken"

"Well, then, I will take her by force," Chad said, angry and he and his pack started charging at Max and his pack in their wolf form. The fight began.

Meanwhile inside the tunnel

"Luna, what do we do now?" one of the elder omegas asked once the door was closed. Mira turned to them and smiled, trying to calm down their anxiety.

"We will make our way through the tunnel and get to the safe place" Mira answered, everybody, nodded. Before they got to move, they were stopped by someone.

"Not so fast," one of the betas said, smirking. He signaled to someone and five people that were hiding among the pack members stepped out. Mira smelt pack on them, but there was a different smell on them that she couldn't figure out. Her eyes widened once she realized.

"Crimson Shadow members. Dave, you traitor!" She said. She tried to use her weather power.

"Don't even think about it" one of Crimson Shadow's members said as each of them grab an omega or children with their claws out ready to claw their throat. Mira immediately stopped.

"What do you want?" She asked even though she know what they want.

"We need you to come with us," One of them said. Mira looked at her family. They were all shaking their head, telling her not to go with them even though they were scared for their lives. She smiled at them.

"I will go with you under a few conditions"

"What are they?"

"Only I will come with you and my family will not be harmed in any type of way"

"Deal," One of them said, signaling the others to let go of Mira's pack members. All the children and omegas can to her, hugging her, begging her not to go.

"It's my duty as you Luna to protect you. Besides, I will be fine. Tell Max always and forever" Mira told her family.

"Let's go," One of the Crimson Shadow members said. Mira let go of her family. She smiled and waved goodbye, before following the Crimson Shadow members ad the traitor out of the tunnel.

Back to the fight

The Blue Moon pack and Crimson Shadow pack were still fighting, they were equally matched. Suddenly, The crimson Shadow stopped attacking and started backing out.

"Got tried already," Max said.

"You could say that" Chad replied, smirking, "besides I got what I wanted." He and his pack started running back into the words. Max and his pack were confused before Max's eyes widened and made a charge into the house towards the tunnel with his pack following behind him. They turned back into their human form and Max opened the door. They stepped inside to see that Pack members are still inside. Max smelt his mate's scent to it is faded.

"What happened and where is your Luna?" he asked. The members that were inside the tunnel looked down in guilt and sadness.

"Dave brought Crimson Shadow members inside the tunnel. They threaten to harm us if Luna didn't go with them. So, she agreed to go with them in order to protect us." One of the omegas explained. In that movement, Max broke down, everybody else following in his footsteps.

"She also told us to tell you always and forever," the same omega said through tears.

"Always and forever" Max promised, "I will find you whatever it takes no matter what."
