They made it to the packhouse, and they shifted to their human form. Everyone at the house was shocked and happy to see their Luna again. A group of kids ran to Mira, hugging her.

"Luna, you are alive. We miss you so much." the kids said. Mira didn't know what to do.

"She is our Luna, but she doesn't seem to remember us. Something happened to her, hint the difference in appearance. She may have lost her memories, so I encourage you not to call her Luna" one of betas that find Mira said to everyone, except Max in the mind link. The kids can't do mind link until the age of nine.

"Sweeties, I'm not your Luna" Mira apologized, gently to them. The kids let go of her, looking at her confused. Their parents came to take them away, apologizing to Mira. Mira and the pups were given clothes to wear.

"Follow me, we will be meeting with our alpha," the same beta said. Mira, Lena, and the children followed him. They made it to the living room, where they saw a man sitting on the couch, looking stressed. He didn't look up even when they walked into the room.

"Alpha, these are the rogues we found in our territory," the beta said. Max looked up and at them. When his eyes fell on Mira, they widened.

"Mira" he said as he stood up, making his way towards her. Mira was wondering how he knows her name. Mia and Matthew, who are alpha, stepped in front of their mother in a protection mode, growling at Max. Max stopped walking and looked down at them. He was confused. Mira gasped and grabbed them.

"Mia, Matt, stop that," She scolded them, before looking at Max nervously, "Sorry about them. They are just protective, please don't hurt them." Max just looked at her, confused on how he doesn't know it. He looked at her appearance and saw she doesn't have a mate mark, her eyes weren't silver, but brown. He couldn't even smell any scent from her, it's like she doesn't have one. She had the bracelet he gave her with another bracelet. She had the same necklace. He was confused, she looked like she's his mate, but isn't. Something doesn't add up, he thought.

"I think they did something to her, which is why she looks different. I also think she lost her memories. She doesn't seem to remember any of us." The beta said to Max through a mind link.

"This must be the work of a witch. We need to find that witch to undo what she did. And who are those kids?" Max replied, still looking at Mira and the kids.

"We will look into it. We don't know who the kids are" the beta said.

"Don't worry, I won't hurt them," Max said. Mira nodded,

"How do you know my name?"

"Oh, you just look like someone I lost that happened to have the same name as you," Max replied as Mira nodded, "Are those kids yours?" Mira nodded again.

"These four are mine, while the older boy is my friend here." Mira replied. Are they that bastard's children?

"My beta, Ben tells me you guys were living in the woods."

"Yes, we are," Mira replied. How come we never saw them all that time we were looking? Max thought.

"Living in the woods can be hard, especially with pups. You are more welcome to stay here in my pack," Max suggested. Mira was going to denied, but Lena spoke up.

"We will love to," she said, while Mira gave her a look, which she nodded to.

"Were you running away from someone? Was that the reason you were living in the woods?" Max asked.

"Yes, we were running away from the Crimson Shadow pack," Lena explained.

"If you stay here, you will be safe from them," Max said, "how long have you been living in the woods?"

"Five years," Lena answered.

"Derek, show them where they will be staying," Max ordered his beta before turning to Lena, "I want to talk to you in private if that's okay." Mira looked at Lena worried,

"I will be fine," Lena said to her, smiling and gesturing for her and the children to follow Derek. After they left, Max asked to have a seat across from him.

"Can you tell me what happened?"

"Six years ago, when Mira was brought to Crimson Shadow. She was already pregnant with your pups presumed. I, a witch was already captured by them and made to do their bidding due to them having my son. No one could get close to Mira because of the bracelet you gave her. Chad made me do a couple of spellings on her. I did scent blocking, eye color changing,mark invisible, memory spells on her. Three of the spells I had to cast on a bracelet hint the other bracelet she had on, since I couldn't touch her," Lena explained, "I was in charge of taking care of her." Max let all of this soak in. Those pups are mine, Max thought excitedly. I lost four years of their lives.

"Can you undo the spells?"

"I'm sorry I can't. I lost my powers. I would have undid the spells long ago, but due to not being able to touch her because of the other bracelet I couldn't," Lena answered sadly. Max was frustrated. There was no way for his mate's memories to be restored.

"What do we do now?"

"Well, you can try to get her to remember. Since I lost my powers, all the spells I casted will slowly be undone, but it will take years though. The spells will be weak, so the person under the spells can easily break free from it," Lena said.

"That's good to know," Max said, "Thanks for keeping her and my kids safe." Lena smiled at him.

"Let me take you to the others," Max said as he left with Lena following behind.
