Chap. 1: The Third Task
Draco Malfoy, Prince of Slytherin and legitimate heir of the Malfoys, didn't know his life would change drastically, that day.
It wasn't a day like all the others, no, far from it. Today, it was the day where Harry Potter, his nemesis, would enter in a labyrinth for the final task. Well, he wasn't the only one, the three other champions of The Three Wizards Tournament would too. But Draco didn't care about them. They could die for what he cared. No, Harry Potter was far more interesting than those losers. Not that Harry Potter wasn't a loser but...he was a more entertaining loser.
Sighing, he got up and walked towards the bathroom before his roommates could do even more than yawn. He locked the door behind him, knowing that, if he didn't, he would regret it. He stepped into the shower and washed himself carefully with tons of different soaps and shampoos, for Merlin knows how long. When he was finished, he stepped out, a towel wrapped around his waist, and walked towards the sink. He started by brushing his teeth meticulously. He couldn't bear having bad breath. It wasn't elegant. He then put lotion on his body and face, put some makeup on and combed his hair. Of course, the makeup and hair took a century but he had to be perfect. He was a Malfoy after all.
When he was finished, he watched himself in the mirror, making sure all was perfect. His eyeliner was perfect, making his grey eyes stand out, and his hair was perfecly combed with just the right amount of hair-gel. He smirked, knowing he was one of the most handsome boys in Hogwarts.
But, of course, the Boy-Who-Lived was neck to neck with him.
He scowled. He always had to be better than him, didn't he?
A knock interrupted him, snapping him out of his thoughts.
"Draco, there are other people who want to use the bathroom, here!" called a voice behind the door.
Draco rolled his eyes. The only ones who didn't fear him were Blaise, Pansy, Theodore, Vincent and Gregory. Pansy was out of the question since she was in the girls dormitory and Vincent and Greg too because they respected his moments of privacy in the bathroom. It left Blaise and Theodore and, judging by the voice, it was Blaise since it was deep in contrary of Theodore whose voice was higher.
He opened the door revealing Blaise Zabini, his best friend.
"Seriously, Zabini? Couldn't you wait until I was completly finished?" he asked irritably.
"Draco, it's been two hours since you walked in that stupid bathroom. Two hours!" Blaise exclaimed.
"Whatever." mumbled Draco, stepping out of the room, leaving the door open for Blaise to enter.
Blaise scrunched his nose in disgust.
"Bloody hell, Draco! You used that perfume again! You smell like a girl!"
"Whatever, Blaise. It's not my fault you don't have the sense to take care of your looks." sneered the blond, putting on his school robes.
Blaise entered the bathroom, muttering about how Draco was worse than girls and didn't know why he was best friend with him.
Draco turned towards Crabbe and Goyle who were already prepared, their stomachs growling.
"Come on, it's time for breakfast." said Draco to the inseparable duo.
Maybe a little too inseparable if you see what I mean.
While the trio was walking towards the Great Hall, Draco was looking for a certain green eyed Golden Boy. Vince and Greg looked at each other knowingly with a smirk. The blond was so oblivious.
Suddenly, Draco stopped dead in his track. Vincent and Gregory looked up and noticed the Golden Trio walking towards the Great Hall, the Weasel and the Mudblood encouraging their friend for the Final Task.
Draco smirked and strutted towards them, Crabbe and Goyle behind him, sighing.
"Oi, Potter!" called the blond, practically glowing with excitment.
The Golden Boy turned around, a determined look in his vibrant green eyes.
Something fluttered in Draco's stomach but he ignored it, as always, and stood proudly in front of his rival.
"What do you want, Malfoy?" asked the raven haired boy.
"Just wanted to say goodbye. I mean, it's your last day of living, so I thought it would be...polite to bid you farewell." cackled the grey eyed boy.
He noticed Weasel turning as red as his hair and Granger glaring daggers at him while Potter paled.
"Shove off Malfoy." spat Potter.
He walked away with his worried friends walking next to him. Draco snorted elegantly, something only him could do apparently, and turned towards his friends. His eyes were sparkling like an excited child who just won a game. Well, for Draco, that was the case.
"Did you see his face? Priceless! He couldn't even come up with a comeback. Poor baby Potter couldn't defend himself in front of my greatness." laughed Draco.
Vincent and Greg laughed a little to make him happy but, inside, they were annoyed. Couldn't the boy stop with those childish fights and confront his crush like a grown up man? Well, he wasn't a man but he wasn't a child either. He was fourteen soon turning fifteen, for Merlin's sake! But they knew that, if they told him that, he would deny it. So they just sighed and followed Malfoy through the Great Hall and sat on the Slytherin table. Upon seeing the food, Vincent and Greg forgot everything about their worry and started eating. Well, it was more stuffing food in their face but they couldn't help it. They loved food.

Draco was pacing impatiently in the bleachers. What was Potter doing?
That Fleur Delacour and Viktor Krum were out, already, and injured. Cedric Diggory, that Hufflepuff who looked like he never saw the sun in his entire life, and Harry bloody Potter were still in the Labyrinth. Draco was starting to worry. No. Not worry. He was losing patience. Who did he think he was? Making him wait that long. It wasn't polite. Didn't he have manners?
"For Merlin's sake, Draco! Sit down! Don't worry, your boyfriend will be fine. He always is." exclaimed Pansy Parkinson, his best girl friend.
"What are you talking about? Diggory isn't my boyfriend." scowled Draco, playing dumb.
Theodore rolled his eyes.
"Don't play dumb with us, Draco. You know who we are talking about."
"Yeah, well, I don't know what your problem is with Potter and I but there is certainly nothing between us apart from hate."
"Keep telling yourself that, mate." deadpanned Blaise, already annoyed by Draco's denial.
"I'm not telling myself anything! I don't like him!" growled Draco menacingly.
"I'm sorry Dray but, there is something between you and him. Sexual tension, to start with." started Vince, holding Greg's hand.
"And a huge crush on your side, for sure. Maybe on Potter's side too but we can't be sure." finished Greg, stroking Vince's knuckles with his tumb.
"Without forgetting that you two would make the perfect couple!" squealed Pansy.
"I don't have a crush on him! And Pansy will you calm down, please!" pleaded Draco.
Pansy was, in fact, jumping on her chair, squealing as if she had just seen an adorable puppy.
"I swear Pansy, it's unhealthy how obsessed you are on the idea of them together." mumbled Blaise.
Theodore, on his side, was now out of the conversation, too occupied to watch Pansy bouncing like a little girl. Completly smitten that boy.
That was when a loud pop resonated and the music started, announcing a winner.
Draco jumped up and looked down towards the ground where two figures were laying on the floor. The blond could hear Harry's sobs from where he stood even if, normally, it would be impossible.
Draco watched Harry cry on the second figure he assumed to be Diggory, worry written on his face. Why was Harry crying? And why didn't Diggory move?
That was at that moment that a high-pitched scream resonated.
