I think one of the most difficult things to do in life is to state your opinion. The second most difficult thing to do is to be understanding and nice about the opinions of others, even if you don't completely agree with it. 

For example, I hate Taylor Swift. And I don't understand why anyone would like her. But if I come across a Swiftie, even if I think they're wrong, Taylor is up to their personal taste and they personally like her a lot. It's not my place to judge them and be rude about the matter. This is something I've had to learn a lot over the course of my life. It's fine to like or hate something. But you need to be respectful of other people's opinions and matters of perspective. 

The same thing applies to movies, songs, and literature. Just because you like something doesn't mean other people will. And even if you like or hate the same movie, song, or book, you may like or hate it for two completely different reasons. 

I was thinking about this a lot. My parents always told me to be careful with my comments and what I post. To be respectful of others opinions and not starting or engaging in fights. I think I've been doing a pretty good job, especially the older and older I get. However, I have to remind myself of that sometimes. It's okay to love or hate something. Just make sure you're not tearing others down or shaming them for not agreeing with you.
