A parents Love
"Ow." Solas whined as he fell, landing on the floor.
"You got pretty far love." Umbra happily said, as the tiny fourteen month pouted.
"Crawling easy." Solas grumbled, but he got up again.
This time, he made it across his room without stumbling, and he was much more steady.
Happily, he climbed into his mother's arms, giving off a chirping sound as he carefully avoided his stomach.
"Shall we have a treat?" Umbra asked, getting up.
"Berry?" Solas hopefully asked him.
"Yes, your Papa brought a few of them." Umbra said as Solas happily purred.
This pregnancy was a lot more normal, and at eight months, he was definitely eight months along.
He couldn't move fast and he waddled when he walked, he was even larger this time around.
But he was also carrying triplets.
Fate freaking triplets.
He'd been pregnant for four months before they found out that the mushrooms had boosted their fertility enough to become pregnant with a third Souling, and being skeletons, it should be impossible for them, to get pregnant while pregnant, unlike humans, etc.
Solas was excited at having siblings, and he was vocalizing more often when he realized the babies might not be able to speak through the link like he could. There was also the fact that they would be normal babies, well.. other than being the children of a God and the Fates's Shadow Guardian.
Umbra took a quick picture as Solas ate strawberries, smashing them partially on his face as red smears.
Ser was spending less time at Reapertale, knowing that Umbra was having a lot of trouble carrying triplets even if it was a much shorter pregnancy.
He always seemed short of sleep once the triplets began to move, because this time, he was getting punched and kicked by three tiny beings inside his ecto womb. And unlike Solas, he couldn't ask them to stop.
Yet, they were already pretty powerful, he could feel it, they were Godlings, just like there papa.
"Done Mama!" Solas said, smiling happily, with smears of his favourite treat everywhere.
"Very done, bath time little one." Umbra said and he picked up the giggling toddler.
"Bubbly bath Mama?" Solas hopefully asked him.
"We'll see." He laughed.
He still hadn't told Ser how exactly he'd gotten pipes set up in the void, and how he had gotten water.
He knew that it bugged his husband, and he couldn't wait until he finally asked.
Five minutes later, Solas was splashing happily among bubbles, while his white bones were being cleaned by his mother.
"Huh..." Umbra said pleased, as he could finally see the faint golden markings forming on Solas's face that told the Multiverse that he was a Guardian.
"Mama?" Solas asked, curiously.
"Your Guardian markings are coming in love." Umbra told him.
"Yeah, then can see temple?" Solas excitedly asked him.
"Yes Solas, once they fully form, we can visit your temple." Umbra told him, right now the markings were so sparse that they almost looked like freckles.
"Will siblings have temples?" Solas asked him, he was curious about that.
"Sorry hon, Fate said that only you and I are Guardians," Umbra softly replied, and Solas didn't know quiet what to feel about that.
To tell the truth Umbra didn't know either, while his other children would grow up, they wouldn't die of old age, and soon enough, Solas would stop growing, and be an eternal immortal child in all ways, unless he was killed... his siblings would outgrow him.
"Mama stay?" Solas sadly asked him.
"Mama and Papa will always be with you," Umbra promised him.
-----
"I'm home!" Searcher cried as he came through a portal, holding a basket of fruit.
"Bedroom." Umbra called with a yawn.
Searcher smiled as he put the basket of fruit away, and he headed into the bedroom.
Umbra had clearly just woken from a nap, and Solas was still asleep, his tiny form was using his mother's belly as a pillow.
Searcher gently kissed their foreheads, before he gently kissed Umbra's belly. "Did they behave for you today?"
"Mmm.. it was a nice lazy day, his guardian marks are starting to appear. They look like little gold freckles at this stage, he's very pleased." Umbra said holding up his hands, where his own golden markings were.
Searcher smiled. "I'm so happy for him..." He lied down, next to Umbra.
"How was work love?" Umbra asked.
"It was okay, and seasons are starting to appear on Reapertale. I'm going to have to start dividing where I work based on what season it is... I'm not going to mess with the seasons until I know that it's safe to mess with them, or the Gods, or Goddesses, responsible for them appear."
"I'm pretty sure that we know where some of the mysterious Elder Gods are coming from." Umbra said, giggling, patting his stomach where the triplets were kicking it.
Searcher laughed. "Dad's face is going to be so funny when he realises that they are his grandchildren."
"They're definitely powerful, I can feel their godly magic now and then. Thank god this pregnancy is short compared to Solas's." Umbra said, shifting closer to Ser, for cuddles, brining Solas with him.
Searcher smiled, and he wrapped his arms around them.
"Finally... yawn.. got Fate to.. yawn that after the triplets, no more pregnancies for awhile, as they need me to work." Umbra said, sleepily nuzzling his husband's neck.
"What do they want you to do Love?" Searcher asked him, as he started to purr.
"Mmm... ground the Inks if they go too far, as we, as Error don't exist, yet. Be their watcher, which I'm already doing, even from here, and guard the void Vaults/halls as always, and keep people from doing stupid things, if it's possible." Umbra sleepily said, feeling a nap claiming him again.
"Okay... I'm probably going to start working on the big meeting hall soon... We're going to need it when the Kids are old enough to start their Godly duties." Searcher yawned.
"Nap now, work on hall later..." Umbra said, purring a bit, as he sleepily pulled Solas in between them as he finally feel asleep.
Searcher yawned again, as he snuggled closer to them, and he went to sleep.
