Epilogue Part 1
~5 Years Later~
I sighed heavily as I picked up one of my toddler twins, who had both decided to finger paint. On the floor. With chocolate frosting. Only Ashton Irwin's children.
"Ash! Can you get John while I deal with Joey?" I shouted through to my husband who was currently in the living room talking to fans on Twitter.
"Daddy!" The two of them screamed in delight as he came through, a massive grin on his face as he looked at the two twins, pulling John into his arms and placing a sweet kiss to my forehead.
"C'mon munchkins!" He chuckled, leading the way through from our kitchen into the bathroom and began running a bath for them.
As we helped the two year olds wash up, I mentally recalled the last few years of my life, smiling to myself at the memories.
The last five years had gone crazily fast, from marrying Ash to finding out I was pregnant with the twins to finding the perfect family home for us.
When we were first told we were having twins, it was a shock, until the panic set in. We were still practically children ourselves, coming to terms with the fact that another new life was dependent on us, never mind a two lives.
But now, life couldn't get any better. I had two beautiful boys, and Ashton standing by my side, life was good. Yes, we still had ups and downs, but together, as our little family of four, we were strong.
"What ya thinking?" Ash asked chirply as we helped the two boys out if the bath, wrapping them in their matching blue towels that my mum had embroidered race cars onto.
"Just about life. How great it is," I smiled up at him, before turning my attention back to Joey as he unsuccessfully tried to put on his pyjama top by himself.
Naming the twins had been quite an entertaining business. There were the eccentric names, like Maximus and Bartholomew (Uncle Luke's ideas which we didn't take into consideration).
But in the end, we had decided on Joey, my idea since Friends is the best TV show ever, and John, after his godfather, John Feldman. We loved the names, and they suited our babies well.
"It is, isn't it?" Ashton agreed, his eyes shining with pure joy as he finished dressing John, tickling the toddler's sides and causing the two of them to fall into a pit of contagious giggles.
"You can't tickwle me, I'm not tickwish!" Joey stuck his tongue out mockingly at me as I tried to copy my immature husband's actions.
"Sweetie, I know you're not! That's just why I'll have to do this!" I cried, before blowing raspberries all over his stomach, causing him to squeal with joy, wriggling out of my grip.
"Wace you to the woom!" John giggled, running out the bathroom happily with Joey chasing after him.
"Do you think we're good parents?" I asked Ashton suddenly as I watched my two boys having the time of their lives.
"I think we're fantastic parents," Ashton reassured me as we stood up, wrapping an arm around my shoulder and placing a kiss to my forehead.
"It's crazy how much your life can change in a few years," I whispered to myself as we tucked the two boys in, placing kisses to their foreheads.
"Yeah," Ashton agreed as we watched them drift to sleep, before gently closing their bedroom door behind us as we left.
"I love you, so much," Ashton mumbled, placing lazy open mouthed kisses to my neck and shoulders as he stood behind me, his large hands playing with the hem of my, well his t-shirt.
"I love you too," I whispered, my breath hitching as his lips latched onto my sweet spot and creating a love bite on my skin.
"I can't wait for the rest of my forever with you."
