Chapter 24: Happy New Years?

THIRD POV

6 hours till New Years

"Are you sure you are up for this Kook?" Jimin asked staring at his friend who was getting dressed in front of the mirror. The pack has a tradition of having a barbeque outside every year and watching the fireworks when the clock hits twelve.

"I need to move on and moping right now isn't good," Jungkook turned around and said, "Plus I can't feel much pain since Nova said he could take it."

Your welcome. Nova chuckled.

"Okay whatever you want to do," Jimin sighed leaning back onto the bed.

"How do I look?" Jungkook asked.

"Perfect," Jimin said sitting up.

"I think I'm ready," he stated playing with his jacket.

"Ok let's go," Jimin voiced getting off the bed and walking out the door with Jungkook behind him. They walked down the stairs to the backyard where the whole pack was talking and the children were running around. They walked to their friends who were talking. Or maybe arguing.

"I can't believe you," Yoongi said exasperatedly.

"Hey, guys what happened?" Jimin asked.

"We are arguing over whether Jin's jokes are funny or not," Hoseok answered.

"They are funny," Jimin shrugged.

"What jokes did you say?" Jungkook questioned.

"Oh no," Yoongi groaned while Jin smiled brightly.

"Guess what I'm doing right now," Jin grinned even more.

"I don't know you are just standing there," Jungkook said crossing his arms confused.

"I guess you could say I'm outstanding," Jin laughed his beautiful laugh along with Jimin as the rest stared at him.

"Okay one more," Jimin giggled.

"I'm super friendly with 25 letters of the alphabet," Jin started, "I just don't know why."

There were a solid 2 minutes of silence before Jimin burst out laughing. "He doesn't know y," Jimin said in between laughs.

"Can we switch subjects hyung?" Jungkook sighed.

"I'll be here all night folks," Jin winked.

"Moving on," Yoongi rolled his eyes, "Let's go get some food." They began walking to the table filled with assortments of food before Bambam started laughing.

"What?" Yugyeom asked.

"He's out-standing," Bambam laughed clutching his stomach.

"You are ridiculous," Yugyeom chuckled fondly at his mate and proceeded with grabbing his waist leading him to the food.

4 hours till New Years

Taehyung was walking around talking to different pack members. He talked to every family sending his wishes for a good year. This was a task the Alpha and Luna do together every year. Mina asked if she could do it with him but he politely rejected saying he wanted to do it alone. But truthfully he wanted to do it with his real mate but was too afraid to ask.

He saw his adorable bunny talking animatedly with his hyungs. He was giggling and looked beautiful under the moonlight.

Can we mark him already? Luca whined.

He needs time and he still hasn't fully accepted me. Taehyung answered.

That wasn't my fault but I'm suffering.

Calm down.

Taehyung rolled his eyes at his whiny wolf. With to full moon approaching his wolf has been clawing at him more. A full moon causes the wolf to become hornier than they already are. This wasn't helpful at all. Jungkook needed time and he was giving it.

Jungkook turned his head and made eye contact with Taehyung. He gave him a light smile and made his way over.

"Hello angel," Taehyung greeted, "And the others."

"I'm an angel also," Jimin pouted. Yoongi rolled his eyes and kissed his mate's pouty lips.

"Eww," Jungkook groaned closing his eyes.

"We can do the same," Taehyung whispered into the boy's ears. His face quickly turned red and he looked down biting his lip.

"I don't know what you said but stop ruining his innocence," Jin scolded.

"Let them be," Namjoon laughed.

2 hours till New Years

"I'm bored," Jungkook whined. He was sitting on a lawn chair staring up at the sky.

"Then do something," Jimin laughed from his seat on Yoongi's lap.

"What is there to do?" Jungkook asked raising a brow.

"I don't know people watch I guess," Yoongi said looking around. Jungkook was bored. He had been outside for four hours and had no idea what to do anymore. He just wanted it to be the next year already.

"Oh look it's your mate," Jimin pointed. He turned and saw his mate talking to some warriors. He looked really good tonight in Jungkook's opinion.

He was watching him laugh with the others. Then he saw a very pregnant Mina walking towards him. She latched herself to his arms and smiled brightly to the people Taehyung was talking to. She looked around and made eye contact with Jungkook and winked. Jungkook's grip on his chair tightened.

She then smirked before leaning and giving Taehyung a kiss on the cheek. Taehyung brushed her off his arm and frowned. He looked angry as well.

The sky darkened tremendously and Yoongi eye's widened.

"Jungkook calm down," he said.

"She kissed him," Jungkook said between clenched teeth.

"And you need to control your emotions," Jimin said staring at the dark sky. There was a storm coming.

"Just breathe and think happy thoughts," Yoongi added. Jungkook closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"I want to set her on fire," he whispered with his eyes still closed.

"I know you can but you can not do that in front of everyone," Jimin said in a calming voice, "You are still weak bun."

Him being weak made it harder to maintain his abilities. He couldn't expose himself. Doing that is dangerous.

Jungkook and his wolf calmed down and the sky cleared.

10 Minutes till New Years

"So Jungkook was about to go all firestorm on that bitch," Jimin said as he was telling the story about what had happened earlier.

"You need to control your emotions better kookie," Yugyeom said with a frown on his face.

"I know," he sighed looking at the floor.

"Let's go get good spots so we can stand and watch the fireworks," Namjoon said gesturing to the open field.

"You guys go ahead," Jungkook said, "I'm going to get something to drink."

"Okay," Jin nodded. They all walked away as Jungkook walked to the cooler. He opened it and it was empty. He looked around and saw another cooler with Taehyung's name on it. He opened it and there was one bottle left. Hopefully, he didn't mind him taking the last water bottle.

He grabbed it and made his way back to his hyungs. It took him 5 minutes to find them in the large crowd.

"I'm back," Jungkook announced.

"Just in time there are 20 seconds left," Jimin laughed staring up at the sky.

"Hey baby," Taehyung greeted standing next to him.

Jungkook opened up the bottle and drank it quickly.

"You ready," Taehyung yelled over the loud crowd.

Soon Jungkook got a headache.

The loud yelling made it impossible for Jungkook to focus.
