Chapter 2: Alpha Taehyung

THIRD POV

The next morning was hectic. 

As he was walking down the hallway he heard mumbling and whispering between the pack members. 

"He's coming back," someone whispered. 

"We need to get his room ready."

Everything clicked in Jungkook's head. Alpha Taehyung was on his way home with his Luna. 

Nervous would be an understatement for him. He loved his old alphas a lot. He helped him by telling everyone in the pack how precious omegas are. This created a better living environment for the boy. 

Jungkook was just scared to meet the new couple. 

"Hey, Kook," Jin greeted snapping Jungkook out of his thoughts, "Do you want to help me make breakfast?"

"Of course Hyung," Jungkook chirped as he followed him into the kitchen. 

"Happy Birthday!" multiple voices shouted as he walked in. 

Jungkook jumped back and looked around finding his hyungs in the room. His shocked face morphed into a wide bunny smile.

"Thank you," Jungkook laughed.

"My little bunny is 18 now," Jimin fake cried pulling the younger into a tight hug.  

"I know right he's an adult," Yoongi laughed pinching  Jungkook's cheeks. 

"Hyung," he whined pushing them both away. They both smiled in return. 

"Let's party all day!" Namjoon screamed taking his arm and pulled him into the ballroom. It was built was built for this sort of event. 

As soon as they got in he gasped. Everything was decorated and all the pack members were there. 

"This is so cool!" He screamed. 

Yoongi chuckled, "Do you smell your mate?" 

Jungkook sniffed the air and got nothing. He pouted and shook his head. 

"It's okay you'll find him," Yoongi assured him. 

"Why don't you go talk to everyone," Jin suggested gesturing to the large crowd.

He nodded and went to greet the members.

"Welcome home Alpha Taehyung," Yoongi bowed as Taehyung got out of the car. He nodded his head in acknowledgment. 

"Mina," Yoongi greeted as she stepped out of the car as well. 

"It's Luna," she scoffed before linking arms with Taehyung.

 "Not yet," Yoongi thought. 

"What's happening tonight," Taehyung asked as he heard music playing. 

"It's my younger brother's birthday," he replied. 

"Let's go join the party," Mina suggested as she nudged Taehyung. He nodded and they followed Yoongi into the party. 

As soon as they stepped into the party Taehyung noticed a sweet smell lingering.

Strawberries. 

"I'll be right back," Taehyung announced leaving to find the owner of the scent. Mina crossed her arms confused but joined the party anyways. 

After some time he found the owner of the scent who was munching on some carrots at the snack bar. 

"Cute," he thought. The male turned so Taehyung got to see the beautiful boy. 

Taehyung admired the boy who had raven hair and his wide innocent eyes scanned the party. His plump lips chewing the carrot which made the beast in Taehyung excited. 

Mate his wolf growled. 

He walked closer but smelled something else. The boy was an omega. 

What was he thinking?  He had a girl from high school who was going to be his Luna so he can't back out now. He also disliked omegas very much. 

He believed they are weak, unintelligent and a burden to have in the pack. 

This was the reason Namjin and Yoonmin were very cautious around the Alpha. They didn't want him lashing out on them more than he already did. 

He noticed his little mate sniffing the air so he took that as a sign to leave quickly. 

Jungkook noticed the mouth-watering smell of vanilla and bananas. A weird combination but it was perfect for him. He looked around frantically but failed to find him in the room. 

He wondered the house and eventually wound up in the garden. The scent was strong here so he followed it and found a muscular back facing him. 

The stranger turned around and made eye contact with him. 

Jungkook has never met him before but he thought he looked handsome under the moonlight. He had grey eyes that were shimmering and had blond hair that was perfectly tousled. 

"Hello little mate," Taehyung said clearing his throat,  "I knew you would follow me out." Jungkook looked at him with a confused look which Taehyung found to be adorable. He shook that thought out of his head and focused on the task at hand. 

"Ok so no need for formal introductions because I need to get this over with," He continued, "Name?"

"Min Jungkook." 

The name fits him perfectly. The alpha's wolf was begging and clawing trying to claim his mate. 

"I, Kim Taehyung, Alpha of Red Cresent pack, reject you, Min Jungkook, as my mate." 

As soon as the words left Taehyung's mouth a scorching pain shot through Jungkook's body. He fell to the ground screaming in pain. 

Why did you do that to mate? Taehyung's wolf whined. 

The younger started crying and soon it was starting to slowly rain. 

Taehyung felt a tang of guilt shoot through him so he did the first thing that came to mind.

Run. 

Go back to mate now his wolf growled. You left him in the rain. He shut his wolf out and kept running.

Jungkook whimpered and so did his wolf. The change in weather was due to his emotions so the rain alerted Yoongi. One of the powers a pure white wolf held. 

Yoongi bolted out of the party desperately looking for his brother. 

Something is wrong with Kook. He mind-linked his mate.  

He eventually found him on the floor soaking wet in the garden. 

His heart broke and lifted him off the ground. He carried him into his room and placed him on the bed. Soon Jimin came running into the room. 

"My baby," Jimin cried immediately putting his arms around Jungkook. 

"What happened bun?" Yoongi asked joining them on the bed. He whimpered in response. 

"How about we go to bed and talk about it in the morning," Jimin suggested. He nodded and soon they all drifted to sleep.
