Chapter 18: The Past

Third POV

Jungkook came back to his senses and pushed Taehyung off of him. He couldn't believe he gave in again. He opened the door and ran up to his room and slammed it shut. He wasn't expecting to see Hyuna lying on his bed. 

"Why are you here?" He asked jumping onto the bed. 

"I'm bored," she huffed. 

"Do something," he replied grabbing his stuffed bunny and hugging it tightly. 

"Remember when I would always say I want to take over the world," she said sitting up, "I still want to do that."

"Have fun," Jungkook laughed. 

"So why are you upset?" she asked looking into his eyes. 

"How did you know?" he said confused. 

"I can see it in your eyes." 

He pouted, "I kissed Taehyung."

"Would you say that's a good thing or a bad thing?" she questioned. 

"I don't know anymore," he said getting off the bed. 

"He's so confusing," he ranted, "He acts like he wants to be with me but then he goes off with Mina." She nodded telling him to continue. "He also won't let me be with anyone else."

"He's in denial," she replied, "Give him some time." 

"We are running out of time," he said exhausted, "His birthday is in tomorrow!"

"We never know what could happen or how he feels right now," she said in support.

Taehyung had no idea what came over him. After he saw his little mate with another he went crazy. All he could think about was locking him up and ravishing him over and over again. 

He was getting weaker as the days went by because of the mate bond not being fully complete. The bond itself was getting stronger and the pull was almost impossible to ignore. He couldn't think straight. 

He groaned combing through his hair with his hands in frustration. 

Taehyung. Luca whimpered. 

What? 

It's been 4 months and I'm getting weaker without Nova and Jungkook. 

If my feelings towards him change in the next twenty-four hours I will do my best to get him back to you.

Taehyung knew his wolf was slowly dying without his mate. He knew that if he didn't make amends somehow or have contact someway he was going to lose his wolf and become partially human. 

But somehow he felt as if he wasn't listening to his parents. Before they left, they planned out his future for him. Mina will be his wife and Luna. They were to have children and raise the pack like they did before. That was before Jungkook got thrown in, an omega also. He had no idea what to do because he despises omegas for their weakness. He hoped when the time came tomorrow he would make the right choice.

Jungkook was walking and talking with Sehun in the garden. They were talking about their likes and dislike for the past hour and Jungkook felt it was right. He felt comfortable. 

"So I know this might be a touchy subject," Jungkook started, "But I was wondering about your past mate." 

Sehun gave him a reassuring smile and gestured to the bench nearby so they could sit and talk. 

"Well," Sehun said he sat down, "First of all his name was Luhan." Jungkook noded signaling to go on. 

"He was the sweetest person on Earth," Sehun smiled thinking back on the memories, "He had the cutest smile that lit up my world." 

"It was the best feeling waking up with him next to me," Sehun said replaying every moment he had with him. 

"I always wondered what it was like to have a mate," Jungkook sighed playing with this fingers. Sehun grabbed his hand and held it in both leading to the boy locking eyes with the other. 

"We have each other now." 

"Thank you," Jungkook blushed. 

"Of course," Sehun grinned. 

"Luhan was a pack warrior," Sehun continued, "One day he left to a battle without me since I was hurt prior." Jungkook knew where this was heading and he didn't like it. "He was killed and I couldn't do anything about it."

"I'm so sorry," Jungkook said as his voice cracked. 

"It was last year," Sehun said as he cleared his throat, "I've come to terms with his death." 

"How about we head to the kitchen to get ice cream?" Jungkook asked hoping that would cheer him up. Sehun nodded and they both stood up and headed to the house. They tried to open the kitchen door but it was locked. 

"I'll go ask Jin for the keys," Jungkook announced as Sehun answered with a small okay. Jungkook made his way to Jin's room but was sidetracked when he heard Mina talking loudly into her phone in her room with the door cracked open. 

"Of course baby," she said into the phone, "Taehyung doesn't know." Jungkook gasped and walked closer to the door so he could hear better. 

"He's been so hung up on the brat," she sneered, "But ever since I told him I was pregnant he has been super nice to me." Jungkook rolled his eyes. "He doesn't even know it's not his." 

Jungkook gasped once again hoping she didn't hear him and sprinted out of the house with all his might. He needed to get out or else he would tell someone immediately. He knew that he had to wait until tomorrow because everyone was gone preparing for Taehyung's party. 

He somehow ended up in the forest near the top of a waterfall. 

The Alpha himself had been locked up in his office barking out orders due to recent rogue sightings. 

"Oh no," Jungkook muttered, he forgot about the crazy amount of rogues near the borders. 

He heard leaves crunching as he flinched. His wolf was weak right now and didn't know if he could fight them off successfully. 

"What do we have here?" A man laughed walking out towards Jungkook. Soon others came out as well. 

"A cute little Omega," another said licking his lips. 

"Get away," Jungkook said as he backed up when he noticed them coming closer. 

"But you are so pretty," the other said walking closer grabbing Jungkook's hand. 

"Stop," Jungkook said swatting the hand off of him as he backed up more. Unfortunately, he didn't notice the cliff leading to the water straight behind him. 

"Bye," Another laughed as he gave Jungkook one strong push. Jungkook let out a loud scream as his feet slipped causing him to fall backward off the cliff.
