Chapter 16: Realization 

Third POV

Silence filled the room while everyone began was processing the news in their heads. 

"As in your having a baby?" Jimin asked with wide eyes trying to make sense of everything. 

"What else would I be having?" she scoffed. 

"A donkey," Bambam muttered under his breath which Yugyeom heard and almost laughed until he realized how serious this was. 

"I'm having a child and it will be the next heir after I mate with Taehyung," she said as she sat down on his lap. Taehyung was frozen since she announced her pregnancy and so was Jungkook. 

Jungkook felt his heart tearing after hearing his mate is going to have pups with someone else and had sex with someone else while they were "together." His eyes started watering as he stood up and bolted out of the room. He ran up the stairs tears filling his vision. He wiped them away when he entered his room and slammed the door shut. 

Meanwhile, downstairs everyone watched in shock as the boy ran away. Taehyung pushed Mina off his lap and looked into her eyes. 

"Are you sure it's mine?" he asked hoping she would say no. 

"Why would I have sex with anyone else except you baby," she purred leaning closer to him. He pushed away once again and stood up. 

Go talk to mate. Luca whimpered. 

And for once Taehyung listened. As he walked towards the rooms he took in the information that caused many emotions to appear. He was angry that Mina was pregnant because he was second guessing mating with her. He was upset Jungkook was upset because lately, his feelings for the boy grew stronger since the mate bond has become larger. He's been starting to feel Jungkook's emotions which is not good. 

He knocked on the door, "Can I come in?" 

"No," Jungkook said plainly as he buried his face into a pillow. He couldn't handle dealing with all this pain anymore. He wanted it to all go away. He wanted to be happy. 

"Pup," Taehyung sighed resting his forehead on the door. 

"Leave me alone," Jungkook yelled at the door. 

"Talk to me," Taehyung said knocking once again. 

Jungkook grunted and got off the bed walking to the door and opening it with a frown.

"I can't deal with you anymore," Jungkook said looking into Taehyung's eyes, "I can't do whatever you wanted me to do that night." He knew this was not going to work anymore so he needed to stop it himself. 

"I can't be your side mate," he said while his eyes were tearing up, "I need you to leave me alone." With that said he slammed the door shut before Taehyung could say anything.

He didn't accept the rejection yet. Luca whimpered. We still have a chance.

I don't think so. 

 He turned around and made his way to his office so he could lock himself in there and think about what had happened. He shut the door loudly and made his way to his chair. He slumped down and closed his eyes tiredly. 

He had somehow gotten Mina pregnant. That baby was to be the next Alpha. There was no way he could neglect Mina now. The baby was the future of the pack. He needed to put his full attention on his future Luna and child. His birthday was getting closer so he needed to focus. 

Soon after an angry Min Yoongi and Park Jimin stormed into the office. 

Taehyung sat up alerted, "How did you get in I locked the door?" 

"It's not hard to pick a lock," Jimin said crossing his arms and shooting daggers at Taehyung with his eyes. 

"Well what do you guys want?" he asked leaning back into the chair. 

"I want to know what are you going to do about the baby and Mina," Yoongi asked. 

"Well she's my future Luna and the baby is the next Alpha," Taehyung stated simply. 

Jimin groaned clenching his tiny fist trying to fight the urge not to punch the man in front of him, "Aren't you forgetting you have a mate." 

"He's no longer my mate," Taehyung said clearing his throat, "I have different priorities now." That was a lie. All he could think about was his little mate but his pride got the best of him. 

"I can't believe you," Yoongi sighed running his hand through his hair in frustration. 

"You guys don't understand," Taehyung fired back, "I apparently have a child now and unless that child is not mine I will protect her at all costs." 

Yoongi now realized that the sad and reckless boy he once knew is now a grown man who was going to be a father. He didn't want to but for the sake of the future baby, he would have to keep Jungkook and Taehyung apart. He knew it was going to upset Jungkook even more but he needed to make him happy some other way. Maybe with a distraction from a different pack.

It had been about three hours since they opened presents. Jungkook was still laying in his bed staring at the ceiling emotionless. 

The window flew open as a gust of wind entered the room. 

"I heard about what happened," Hyuna said walking over to lay down next to the boy, "Are you okay?" 

"I don't I'll ever be okay right now," Jungkook said as his voice cracked from being dry. 

Hyuna pulled him closer to her so that he head was resting on her stomach, "Sometimes it is okay to be not okay," she said playing with his hair. "You need to be sad in order to be happy that's what life is."

"I don't like living right now," Jungkook confessed. 

"Well everyone wants you to," she said, "Maybe you need a distraction." Jungkook looked up at her with innocent eyes, "Maybe that distraction would be a boy I know from a different pack."

Mina noticed everyone leave after she announced her pregnancy. She rolled her eyes annoyed as she saw her man run after an Omega. She knew her baby would keep help keep her spot as Luna because she noticed Taehyung slipping away these past few months. 

She got up and fixed her hair and walked to someone's room. 

"Hey babe," she said opening the door. 

"What are you doing here?" he asked standing up and grabbing her waist to pull her closer. 

"I told Taehyung about the baby so now I'm going to be Luna," she said rubbing circles on her forming baby bump. 

"Oh that's good news," he laughed, "How about we celebrate?" 

"That's how I got pregnant in the first place," she giggled running her hand up and down his arm. 

"Is that a no?" 

"When have I ever said no."
