Chapter 12: Competition

Third POV

"Hey Chim!" Yoongi shouted, "Are you ready?"

"Beauty takes time," Jimin shouted back from the bathroom.

"Why does he have to do this were are literally going to compete in the forest he's going to get dirty anyway," he grumbled.

"Because he's Jiminie," Jungkook shrugged from his seat on the bed. "Hyungie why can't I go." He's been trying to convince his brother to let him compete this year because he's finally eighteen. But his brothers being a tad bit overprotective.

"I don't want you getting hurt Bun," Yoongi sighed looking at his brother. Jungkook put on the best pouty face and puppy eyes.

Yoongi immediately looked away, "Kook put that away."

"You are no fun," Jungkook mumbled as he left the room. He wondered the halls bored out of his mind. Everyone was getting ready for the yearly pack competition that was happening in two hours. It was a series of events kind of like the Olympics. Jungkook loves physical activity and really wanted to participate this year.

He needed to figure out a way to be able to compete this year. So he decided to go to the top. The Alpha.

"Alpha Tae Tae," Jungkook singsonged as he entered his office.

"Baby," Taehyung perked up at the sight of his mate, "Did you finally give in to me?"

"No."

"Well then why are you here?" he asked crossing his arms.

"I want to do the competition," Jungkook pouted. Taehyung mentally cooed at the sight.

"You know it's dangerous right," Taehyung said.

"But I'm big now," Jungkook said flexing his arms to prove the point. It was true. The boy was covered in muscle from training at his old pack and his face didn't match his body.

"I can see that," Taehyung laughed, "But I still can't let you do it because I don't think you can handle it." Jungkook eyes widened at the comment.

 He felt underestimated and wanted to him and everyone wrong. "If I win the whole competition than I get to compete every year and go hunting every month," Jungkook argued.

"And if you don't?" Taehyung asked.

"Then you can have me for one night."

"Deal," Taehyung agreed with a smirk on his face. Taehyung didn't even know what he was getting into.

"Kook, what are you doing here?" Yoongi asked with wide eyes when he saw him warming up with the others.

"I'm warming up," Jungkook said with a smile.

"Who let you?" Jimin questioned when he heard the conversation.

"Alpha Tae Tae."

"You convinced the Alpha to let you!" Jimin exclaimed as Jungkook nodded.

"How?" Yoongi asked utterly confused because the last time he checked they weren't on speaking terms. 

"That's a secret."

"I know you, bun," Yoongi sighed, "You are going to or are scared."

"Nu uh hyungie," he shook his head, "Kookie is not scared he's a big boy."

"You talk in third person when you are lying," Yoongi deadpanned.

"Not true Kookie is a big boy now."

"Sure you are bun," Jimin laughed, "Get warmed up so you don't hurt yourself."

Jungkook just needed this chance to show everyone he wasn't a weak omega. He wanted to show he could take down everyone if he wanted to. But he wouldn't do that obviously. 

"Hey guys do you want to hear a joke," Jin said coming out of nowhere. Jungkook swears he appears out of thin air. 

"No," Yoongi said.

"I'm going to name my car Jimin," Jin said and Jimin got excited, "So I can Park Jimin." Jin then proceeded to begin a windshield laugh as Jimin frowned. 

"That was funny right Kook?" Jin asked.

"Not you best hyung," Jungkook shrugged.

"Tough crowd," Jin muttered, "I'm leaving." He literally pops out of nowhere. 

Jungkook sighed and continued stretching. He looked around at his competition. They were mostly warriors and higher ranked officials. He was slightly nervous about it. He didn't want to lose. HIs father won every year when Jungkook lived here. He wanted to make his dad proud before he comes home. If he comes home. 

"First, event," someone said over a loudspeaker, "Competitors please make your way over to the starting line." 

The first event was a race through the forest to the waterfall and back. Wolf form or human form. Jungkook knew not to do it in wolf form even though it's faster because no one should know about his white coat. It was for his safety. He made his way to the crowd. He felt small compared to everyone.

"Not gonna shift little one?" Taehyung asked as he approached him. 

"Nope." 

"Well good luck." Taehyung left and made his way over to the others. 

Go to the far left. So there are fewer people and you won't get stomped on. 

Make sense. 

He walked away from the crowd but made sure to stay within boundaries. 

"When the whistle blows it begins."

*whistle* (IDK WHAT SOUND IT MAKES)

Jungkook's heart leaped out of his chest when he saw everyone taking off. He pushed off the floor and began running. His feet digging into the floor with each step. 

Let me take over. 

No, we can't shift. 

Fine, then I'll do it in human form. 

Jungkook's eyes turned into a bright yellow meaning his wolf has taken over. His speed doubled and soon he was passing people. His wolf was naturally strong and fast. He just needed to be smart and use his abilities at the correct time. 

He panted as he raced through the forest as fast as his feet could take him. He passed many people along the way. He started to hear the waterfall and soon it appeared in front of his eyes. He turned around and began running back. 

 He noticed no one was in front of him but knew he shouldn't turn to look back. After about 3 minutes he made it back to the start. His eyes turned back to its natural color and he noticed that everyone was staring at him. Jimin made his way over to him.

"Why is everyone staring at me?" Jungkook asked looking around. 

"You finished first," Jimin explained shocked, "Not only that you beat the record by 5 minutes." Jungkook's jaw dropped. 

"Hey what's your name and rank?" the head of the competition asked. 

"Min Jungkook and I'm an omega."

His jaw dropped, "No omega could beat skilled warriors are you sure you didn't take a shortcut?" 

"I'm positive," Taehyung panted as he finished running, "I trailed behind him but he ran to fast but I had my eye on him the entire time." 

"May I ask why?" the guy asked. 

"Because he's the Beta's younger brother," Taehyung answered. 

And my mate. 

Shut up. 

"Well I guess he won fair and square," the guy sighed, "Let's get started on the next event I guess."

So I wrote this and wanted to delete it all because I didn't like this chapter. 

It was kinda boring and had no purpose but I was also too lazy to rewrite it. 

Here's this. 

The reason I kept it in is that the next chapter is Thanksgiving and I needed a filler in between the holidays. 

So sorry if it sucked.
