Chapter Ten
My eyes widened at the sudden change in events. Soran had managed to stay in control, but I could still see the eyes of his wolf behind his.
Taking out my phone, I quickly sent a message to Mizzy telling her that I would not be able to pick up Senait today. I then placed it back in my pocket and attempted to rush back into the strip club.
His left hand gripped my arm as he pulled me towards him. Our bodies colliding together sent a light tingle down my body.
I stayed still as he stared directly into my eyes. When I was about to make an attempt to break from his grasp, he wrapped his arms around me. His head shifted towards my neck as he began sniffing me.
I couldn't help myself as I began to laugh. This made him pull back from me, his left eyebrow up in confusion.
Before I could stop myself, the words just flew right out of my mouth. "Sniffing around just as a dog should." Those words belonged to my inner, who I immediately knew was up to no good.
Soran let out a low growl, or should I say his wolf did? Either way, I'm sure they were both pissed at what I had just said.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say that," I apologized. I was willing to do anything if it meant that he allowed me to go back home to my daughter.
"You had better be," he said.
I wanted to respond but decided against it. Turning around, I slowly started to walk towards the backdoor.
"I'm just going to go get my things," I said slowly. His eyes remained on me. I could even feel his intense gaze when my back was facing him.
Once inside, I quickly took my bag and sniffed the air to find out where I should exit through. Just as luck would have it, he did not come alone. The stench of two other wolves were also lurking at the two other exits. I am screwed.
Maybe today is the day I get back into running.
Entering into the bathroom, I quietly made my way over to the window. After a quick sniff, I stealthily opened the window and quickly crawled out of the window.
Landing like a feather onto the ground, I wasted no time in sprinting away from the club. I'm sure it wouldn't take him long to notice that my scent had just disappeared from the club.
In no time, I had managed to reach home. That's the fastest I've run in a long time, although I know I can do much better than that.
Looking around, my house was empty. I was glad that Mizzy had brought Senait over to her place and not mine. She did have a key to my place, so I was a little bit worried that she'd bring her here.
Contemplating on what to do next, I decided to sit and wait for Soran. I couldn't run away without Senait and I had not planned where my next destination would be. Besides, I would feel more comfortable at my own home in case things take a wild turn.
It took about ten minutes before I heard two vehicles pull up near my home. I crossed my legs as excitement coursed throughout my body.
The vehicles were not turned off as I heard their loud footsteps spreading out around the house. I could sense Soran's presence behind the front door. I held in my breath anticipating what his next move will be.
Then, with a loud bang, my door fell crashing to the floor.
