Chapter 11
Heeey guys, sorry for the long wait and the short chapter, but I have a surprise for you in this one.
I hope you like to read Adrian's POV because you'll be seeing a bit of him in the next chapters. Tell me what you think of it and how do you think I did in the fighting scene in the last chapter? I did a lot of research and rewrote it a lot before posting lol
If you enjoy this, please vote... It helps me a lot <3

My heart was not mine anymore. Syera fell in my arms, her body becoming suddenly rigid. Her eyes were wide open, she opened her mouth, but were only able to choke incomprehensible words. I pulled her shirt and saw the skin around the cut from the dagger getting darker and darker by the second. It was poisoned. She was hurt and suffering, and it was all my fault because I hadn't been able to protect myself, to protect us, the only thing I knew I had to do... Keep her safe.
I howled, loud and sore. The beast was trying to take control over me, everything around me turning black as the wolf took over my being. My claws ripped my clothes off. The two witches that were holding me stepped away, as they saw my body transform into an ugly beast, screaming in pain, for the love I had lost.
It hurt being far from her, but being so close seeing her hurt was not better. It was something I couldn't bear, not without her by my side and I was at fault for letting the wolf take control of me. And she was too, for not being able to keep her promise and stay safe.
I saw the wolf jump on the two witches, the third one ran away. It sliced through their throats and it rejoiced in drinking their blood. Their bodies fell on the ground, and the energy barrier around my mansion was torn. I can't tell what happened, although I could smell the fresh blood and hear the groaning around me.
My body transformed back. It was still night, though that night had been painted red. My arms were covered in the scarlet fluid, such as my mouth. I stared around. I was the only one left standing, except those from my pack. Half of the mutts I had seen before were dead now, the other half might have had run away.
Someone came to my side and talked to me, but I wasn't listening. I watched around, everything was blurred, there was only one thing that mattered. I walked past the property and into the woods near the house. Syera was still there, exactly where I left her and still hurt. I passed an arm below her knees and held her body against mine.
People stared at me, still frightened, as I walked back home. Whatever they saw my wolf doing had not been beautiful. And I wasn't feeling victorious, even though we had won that battle. "I need a healer." The wolves didn't move. I took a brief look at my mate's wound. The dark poison was slowly spreading through her body. "Now!"
