W-where's Night?

My jaw dropped as fear and panic coursed through my veins.

M-maybe he's in a different compartment?

I try to reassure myself but fail after frantically running to each compartment.

This can't happen.. not again..

I quickly took out my phone and with trembling fingers, pressed Jimin's number.

" Hey babe, why are you- "
" Jimin, I can't find Night. " I say with a shaky voice.
" What do you mean? "
" He's not in his compartment Jimin! " My voice cracks and then I hear Jimin laugh.
" What's so funny? " I say, annoyed.
" Babe, he's in the riding test. "

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
Riding test?
" What's that? "
" Oh... I didn't tell you about that part yet.. "
" What do you- what's going on Jimin?"
I say, raising my voice a little.
" Babe, calm down and come back.. I'll explain everything. "

Jimin's P.O.V

Shit... She's not gonna like this..

Taehyung sighs and tells me,
" She's gonna find out anyways. "
I rest my body against the table and turn to Tae.
" But... She's not gonna like it.. she's gonna break down. I hate seeing her cry and you know that. "
" It's not that bad. "
I scoff.
" Are you serious? The bond she has with Night is different than any other I've seen. The animal literally understands her words. And as much as I don't like it, that horse has her heart. "
Taehyung laughed and smacked me.

" I can't believe you're jealous of a horse Jimin. "
I laugh and Y/N walks in the next moment.
" Tell me NOW. "
I stop laughing and I nod. I walk up to her and take her hand in mine.
We walk outside to the garden at the far end of the house. I know that seeing as much nature as possible might calm her down to an extent.

We sit on the bench and I look down, my eyes not wanting to meet her pleading gaze.
" Jimin... please tell me.. why is Night in a riding test? "
I sigh and meet her eyes and saw that they were glassy. Her chest was heaving up and down and I know she's on the verge of losing all control.
" Y/N.. Night's in a riding test for the academy. Every horse that comes here is meant to be sent to the academy and so each of them go through certain tests to see if they are fit for races or whatever... "
She nods her head.
" Ok... That doesn't seem so bad.. "

I press my eyes shut.
" I'm not finished.. "
I hear silence from her and I keep my eyes shut, not wanting to see her reaction to this.
" If the horse is better than the others, or in this case, a breed that's superior to all others, then... "
I clench her hand tightly.
" Jimin.. what is it.. " she says with a shaky voice. I finally look up at her and I could see the tears in her eyes.

" The horse will be given to the best riders of the academy. A superior horse cannot have a rookie rider. "
I can see she's still controlling herself.
" But... You're the best rider right? "
She says with a small smile, trying to reassure herself.
I slowly shake my head.
" I'm not THE best... I'm ONE OF the best.. but there are still riders better than me.. "

That's all it took for everything to pour out. She put her head in her hands and started sobbing hard. Immediately, I embrace her and make her sit on my lap.
I stroke her head as she continues crying.
" I-i just got h-him back... Is there n-nothing that can be d-done? "
She asks between sobs.

" It's out of our hands this time.. "
She sobs louder and I've never seen her cry so hard before.
" Y/N.. don't cry so hard. It's not- "
" I DON'T CARE! " she yells and gets off me.
My eyes widen in shock as I never expected a reaction of this extent from her.
" WHY DOES EVERYONE I LOVE HAVE TO BE TAKEN AWAY FROM ME?! " she yells and runs back into the house.

Shit...

I run after her calling her name but she just runs up the stairs, into her room and locks it. Tae rubs my back and says,
" Give her some time.. "
I nod and place my head in my hands.
" I never thought she would scream at me. "
Tae's eyes widen as he says,
" Whoa.. she got that angry? "
I nod my head.
" Then, maybe.. there's more to her life than we know Jimin.. "
I scoff in annoyance.
" She's gone through enough. "

I get up and walk upstairs to her room. I hear continuous sobbing and whimpering coming from her room. I knock on it and say,
" Y/N... Open the door. "
She just continues crying and I knock again.
" Go away! " She says and her voice cracks. My heart clenches and it hurts me to see her in this state.

I sigh and walk away from her room and go to mine. I lay down on the bed and stare at the ceiling. Tae comes in and lays down next to me. I chuckle and say,
" You're gonna piss off Jungkook "
He laughs and says,
" He won't mind... How is she? "
I sigh.
" Devastated... "

" Will she be coming to the academy tomorrow? "
" I don't know.. I think it's best if she doesn't go.. with all the horses, she won't be able to take her mind off Night.. " 
" The riding test is done in the academy right?"  I nod and say,
" It takes two days. So when we go tomorrow, we will be able to see Night throughout the test.. and I'm sure she won't want that. "

He hums in reply and stretches to make himself comfortable.
"Yah. Don't push me off. " I say and nudge him.
He laughs and dives under the covers.
I close my eyes and try to sleep but the thought of her crying alone keeps me awake. I turn to my side and see Taehyung fast asleep.

Suddenly I hear noises from him.
" Jungkook... " He moans.

Tf is this man dreaming about?

His noises start escalating and my face twists in disgust. I get up and decide to get some snacks from the kitchen since that's what I do when I have sleepless nights.

I slowly turn the door knob and Taehyung moans loudly.

Oh my lord.

I quickly step outside and close the door. I tiptoe to the kitchen and turn on the light, only to find someone there already.

Y/N P.O.V

I sighed and rubbed my eyes. I couldn't sleep because Night is the only one in my head.
I just got him back.. and now he's gonna be GIVEN to another rider? Who knows what that jerk might do with my horse, or worse, what Night might do to him/her.

My stomach rumbles and I realize I didn't eat lunch. I groaned and thought of snacks. I checked the time.
2:03 a.m

Nobody would be awake now.. right? Maybe I can just sneak into the kitchen and grab that delicious bowl of chips I saw in the fridge earlier.

I stood up from the bed and got dizzy because of how much I had cried. I held my throbbing head and groaned.
God I hate headaches.
I slowly turn the door knob and look down both ends of the hallway.
Empty.

I tiptoe towards the kitchen, hoping not to get lost. Luckily, I reached the kitchen and walked towards the fridge. I saw the big bowl of delicious chips and took it out and sat on the floor in front of the fridge.

Omg they look so good.

I quickly took three and shoved it in my mouth. I rolled my eyes back and moaned at the taste of the delicious chips. I leaned my head against the fridge and looked outside the french doors in the dining room.

I could see the field, where Night and I first made that jump. I closed my eyes, trying to remember the feeling of the wind against me. Anybody could just tell me to ride another horse, but it's not the same. I only get the excitement and thrill when I'm on Night. Not on any other horse.

I opened the fridge and saw two tubs of chocolate ice cream. Without hesitation, I took both the tubs, forgetting that this is not my house and sat back down on the floor.

I took a spoon and dug it into the ice cream and scooped out a huge chunk. I put the ice cream in my mouth and regretted it immediately.

Brain freeze AND a headache? Wow.

At that moment, the light turned on and I startled. My body froze with my eyes open wide with the spoon of ice cream still in my mouth and the the bowl of chips with both the tubs spread out on the floor in front of me.

Jimin.

He froze too, not expecting me to be here but he quickly got over it and chuckled. I put my head down immediately, not wanting to face him after I screamed at him for no reason.

He turned the light back off and slowly walked over to me and sat down on the floor next to me. I gave him a tub of ice cream, still not making any eye contact.

A/N P.O.V

Jimin could sense the tension in the air. Y/N wasn't saying a word to him and he knew that wasn't normal.
He didn't want to bring up the topic of how she felt because he thought it might only bring back those heart breaking sights.
He wanted to confront her but didn't know how.

" Why are you awake? " He asks, hoping that she would give him an honest answer.
Y/N fidgeted with her fingers and said,
" I went to the bathroom and I decided I should have a snack. "

Jimin could clearly see that she was lying. He knew that she couldn't hide anything from him because he knew her more than anyone in the span of two weeks.

He knew that asking questions would never get an answer out of you. So he did what he knew best. He pushed the tub of ice cream and chips aside and slammed his lips onto Y/N's.

Y/N P.O.V

My eyes widened in shock at his sudden action but my body automatically reacted to him and kissed him back passionately.
I knew it's just what I needed all along. I wrap my hands around his neck and run my fingers through his soft locks of hair and grip onto it.

He groans and wraps my legs around his waist, lifting me up. We've never had a kiss like this before. It was impatient, angry and heated. He placed me onto the kitchen counter and broke the kiss.

He stared into my eyes with a lustful gaze and says,
" I hate it when you lie to me. "
I gulped and was about to reply when the light was turned on.

" AHA!!! " Jimin and I turned our heads with wide eyes to see a smirking Taehyung...
