A/N : this chapter is mainly the backstory of Y/N

I woke up to the sound of my idiotic alarm and groaned as I stretched across my bed to turn it off. I sat up and rubbed my eyes before stretching and silently looked out my window... Scoffing in disgust at the sight before me; the city. I hated every moment of my life ever since we moved here.. all because of my dad.

*Flashback*
The only thing I could hear was yelling, arguing and things being smashed. I sat in my room with my head in my hands, trying to ignore the horrendous noise until I couldn't take it anymore. I got up, opened my window and climbed down.

I needed a break from this madness. I strolled up to the field where Night was. Night was the only one that I could go to during my troubles and to share my happiness with. I never had any friends.. I only had my horse.

I leaned against the wooden fence and whistled loudly, hoping he would hear me. It didn't take long before I heard the sound of galloping and there he was, my Night in shining armour 😁.

I jumped over the fence and ran to him.
" Come here boy !! " He ran up to me and I hugged him. I lifted myself off the ground and onto his sleek black back and we rode across the field. I spread my arms out and breathed in the fresh, crisp Busan air.

Night and I stayed under my favourite Oak tree and watched the serene view before us. I loved living in Busan. Even though I didn't have any friends, I felt one with the nature of the place and the day Night was born was the best day of my life. Ever since then we've been partners in crime 😂💖 and I loved him with all my heart.

After giving him a carrot, I walked back to that hell hole, hoping things would have quieted down. I opened the front door and my eyes widened at the horrid sight in front of my eyes.

Dad was squeezing onto mom's neck against the wall while she was on the verge of passing out. Mom and dad have had fights before, but it never became this serious. I rushed over to him and yelled " DAD!! what are u doing ?! She's your wife for God sakes! LET HER GO !! " I started hitting him so he would remove his grip on her and he did.

My mom fell to the floor, panting and coughing hard. I turned to my dad and without thinking twice, slapped him across the face " Don't u touch her EVER AGAIN " He turned to me and I could see the rage in his eyes.

Without a word, he grabbed my mom and I and threw us out the front door. "Get out of my sight. I never want to see you pathetic fools ever again" and with that, he slammed the door in our faces. I wanted to just scream and cry at the situation we were in but I had to stay strong for eomma.

I hugged her tightly in my arms " eomma.. it's okay, please calm down. I'll try and find a hotel for us to stay in. I'll get a part time job to-"
" No ! I-i have a house in Seoul.. we will l-live there dear " she said between sobs.

" Ok eomma.. let's go there. I'll drive if u can't."
" No I'm fine.. I can drive "
We walked towards the car and a thought flashed through my mind.
" Eomma !! What about Night? I can't just leave him here ! "
" It's ok dear we will come back and get him.. let's just go please " I could see that eomma wanted to leave this treacherous place as soon as possible.
I doubtfully looked at the field and nodded my head. " Ok.. let's go "

* End of flashback *

And here we are today... Seoul.
