Lillie's POV

I was sound asleep. I had slept with Aunt Jenna last night. I woke to her shouting downstairs. I get out of bed and run down. Damon grabs me as I see mum pointing a crossbow at Ric. "It's me, Elena, I swear, okay? He let me go. Klaus let me go" he states.

"Prove it" Damon tells him. Alaric looks at aunt Jenna.

"Okay, uh, first night you and I spent together, Jeremy walked in right when I was about to..." Ric starts to say.

"Ok, it's him" Aunt Jenna says lowering the crossbow. Damon lets me go. I ran over to Ric and gave him a hug. Which he returns.

"Why did he let you go?" Stefan asks him.

"He wanted me to deliver a message. The sacrifice happens tonight" Ric tells us. I'm happy for Nik, he'll be free. And Elena will live thanks to Elijah. Which means I lose no one. We all go to the living room except for Damon.

"So you don't remember anything that happened?" Stefan asks. As Elijah holds me. I rest my head on his shoulder.

"No. It's like I blacked out and woke up three days later. Katherine was there" Ric explains.

"She's under compulsion. Damon snuck her some vervain, but she can't leave until Klaus tells her she can" Stefan explains.

"Where is Damon?" Elena asks.

"I saw him go upstairs" Aunt Jenna tells her. Elena leaves to go talk to Damon.

"So what else did I do?" Ric asks.

"You threatened aunt Jenna" I state. "Exposing vampires and werewolves to her" I add.

"I'm sorry Jenna, I never wanted you involved in this side of my life" Ric tells her.

"It's a lot to wrap my head around" she states. "Especially this" she says gesturing to Elijah and I. "Can you explain it to me again?" she asks Elijah.

"She is the reincarnation of my little sister. Who died at a young age, a witch did a spell. Which allowed my sister to be reborn every five hundred years. But there is a price to pay, none live pass the age that my sister died. Ever since my family discovered that our sister was being reincarnated. We've been trying to find a way to break the loop and save her" he explains.

"What age?" Aunt Jenna asks. Before he can answer we hear Elena scream upstairs. Stefan disappeared in a flash. "Stay with Elijah" she tells me. Before leaving with Ric.

"Did you guys ever find a way to break the cycle?" I ask Elijah. As he put me down.

"We have two theories, but have never tested them" he states. He grabs the elixir that was going to save Elena. He puts it back in the box. I frown in confusion. "Well, it sounds like you won't be needing this anymore. Feeding her vampire blood rendered it useless. Tell Elena I'll be back before nightfall with Lillie. We'll proceed as planned" he tells Damon.

"We both know that elixir wouldn't have worked anyway" Damon states.

"The problem, Damon: you talk a good game but you don't actually know anything. She'll never forgive you. And never for a vampire. It's a very long time" Elijah tells him. He takes my hand and we leave the house.

"What happened?" I ask him confused.

"Damon fed Elena his blood, making the elixir useless" he states.

"So she's going to die and come back a vampire?" I ask.

"I'm afraid so" he tells me.

"Are you really going to kill Nik?" I ask him.

"I gave my word, but if what he told you is true. Now I am conflicted" he states. "I will speak to Niklaus before making my final decision" he tells me.

"I want you all to live" I tell him. "I'm sad Elena will be a vampire, but at least she'll live. Along with all my family" I state.

"Nora, you know that might not always be the case" he tells me gently. "I know you wish we'd all get along, so that you can see all of us without upsetting anyone. But there is to much bad blood between us for that to happen" he states.

"I know, but a girl can dream" I tell him. "Can you promise me something Elijah?" I ask.

"Anything" he tells me.

"If I die again, do you promise to find me again?" I ask him.

"Always" he tells me and I smile. We hug each other. "Now I have a fun day planned for us" he states and we continue on our journey. We have an amazing fun filled day. He took me to the zoo, we went to beach and looked at the tidal pools. Had a picnic. But all things must come to an end. As we start to head for the Salvatore Boarding House. I am to stay there with Aunt Jenna while the others deal with Nik and protect Elena.
