It's been a few months and the only whispered discussion I've heard is about Kaitou Rubin. The next morning after my first steal, I shot an arrow at the center of the village where they held the treasure before stolen. Everyone present was confused with the arrow and astonished when it blazed to turn into their lost treasure. Rumours spread and people said it was Kaitou Rubin's work at hand.

Since then, Kaito Rubin has been stealing any treasure and returning them to their owners the next day same modus operandi, sometimes back to the owners themselves, others to their rightful ones.

It has given me stardom in the criminal community and sometimes, disguised, I hung around there for any info on the Arceus Diamonds. So far, no luck, but the criminal community is not without their merits, but I won't say because the author's lazy.

...Sometimes I feel like a video game character who has to put up with a crazy system.

Now the end of the year is coming. My birthday is coming soon. Elly, Fiona, Selena and me are in Kyogre Kingdom, shopping like the gal pals we are. For some reason, we were all invited for the princess, Alyssa Wyvern's eighth birthday.

We were shopping for dresses for the honorable day, including Fiona who was invited due to her father saving the Kingdom from unknown in a secret mission. Fiona doesn't know because it's a secret.

After shopping, we explored Wyvern Kingdom via canal boat. If you are wondering, Wyvern Kingdom is like Venice because of the strong flow of water and them making the best of it.

FYI, because I'm sure I forgotten to further elaborate the Kingdoms. They are all different in their own aspects.

Kyogre Kingdom is a water kingdom and therefore they made it suitably like Venice. Smart, that.

My birthplace, Articuno Kingdom is snowing every single day and endorsed with beautiful ice statues and the like. To simplify, Articuno Kingdom looks like a Christmas card everyday.

Reshiram Kingdom is summer everyday, not much nature and water is hard to come by at times. It could be related to a desert but less that mostly because it's a thriving community.

Zapdos Kingdom is best described as an amusement park where the thrill never ends, mostly from the hurricanes they receive occasionally. The citizens have made the best of it and it could be best described as a thrill non-stop amusement ride. Well, that's what I gathered after reading about it.

Zygarde Kingdom is a bit bare but is the spot of riches as it has a lot of mines where the miners gather our currency, Binks. Whenever we all run out of Binks, they regrow themselves immediately for picking. Like a money tree we all wished for except that it happens when we need it. That's why Binks are our currency and Zygarde Kingdom is known to be rich thanks to that.

Celebi Republic is very much like spring with harvests and the main stock for food and technology. They lived traditionally with a few modern twists.

Jirachi Kingdom could be best described as heaven where the weather is always pleasant and the fairies live in what we may call Garden of Eden. Fairies are powerful beings and have gained respect from humans for saving us from what we can't see, creatures born from darkness and the like.

Terakion Kingdom is best described as battle zone area, even in peaceful reign. They lived like the military and ruled in a dictator's hand. Not that it was hated. Wolfmen value toughness and loyalty and the way they live, it's not hard to ask why.

Lastly, Darkrai Kingom or mostly Hell is like, well, hell, no need for more explanations but it's liveable and not at all torturous. It's mostly, as a book told me, a place where lost souls who sin in worlds unknown before live as demons where they can repay in debt and go to the afterlife or reincarnate as someone else with absolutely no memory of their previous life. Yes, demons are reincarnated who know nothing of their previous lives except for tidbits that helped with discoveries and the like.

So, now me and my gals are touring around the Kingdom, chit chatting especially Kaitou Rubin.

"He's so awesome," Elly giggled, "Do you know that he plans to target a treasure during Alyssa-san's party?"

Kaitou Rubin is known as a male for the way I conduct myself. Sometimes I flirted with the ladies but I'm not gay! I just channel Kaitou Kid and made sure that no one knows who I really am, that's it!

"Yeah, probably to entertain us in the party and ruffle some important feathers," Selena added and everyone giggled at that.

My heists were less treasure taking, more entertaining the crowd who comes to my heist with a few tricks that I learned from Kaitou Kid.

The last few ones didn't involve a large scale party but public events where I dressed up the authorities into degrading costumes and created a dazzling show of fireworks. My heists are entertaining enough for people to watch.

"So what's the treasure?" I asked although I knew.

Fiona answered this time. She was in the last public heist and saw me pulling off dragon firecrackers to get the treasure and a hint of my next treasure. Rumours were made and some came true after I sent the notice.

"They say that it is a necklace of unfathomable beauty given to the first Fairy Queen ever who was known to be blessed by a beauty Goddess." Fiona giggled. "It's also a present from Prince Red to Princess Alyssa. They are so in love!"

Red Drake of Reshiram Kingdom was betrothed to Alyssa Wyvern after both their debuts. Political stuff and all that. As far as I can see, they both don't mind it, with Red pulling a little towards Alyssa but she remained passive over all this.

Sometimes, I wonder if she's a robot.

"Speaking of lurve," Elly exaggerated the word 'love', "Aren't you going to see Alex at the party? He's coming there, you know."

Everybody else giggled while I crossed my arms with a stoic expression.

Although technically I'm in my mid-thirties, I still do not care for love. Alex is nice but he's my friend and I am sure he feels the same towards me. I did not detect any romance vibes between us anyway.

"For the millionth time, Alex and I are friends," I stressed out the last word, "Anyway, aren't we too young for this sort of stuff?"

"Yeah, we are so young that our parents try to betroth us right after our debuts and expressively told us to gain men's favor immediately," Selena snarked.

"Oh, please, don't do that, it's my thing. Anyway..." I said, meaning the sarcasm.

And that's how we spent the rest of our day until Alyssa's birthday...

I wore a simple white dress with blue topazes attached at the hem and the sleeves for elegance and black heels. My hair was down once again and I'd no makeup.

All the guests arrived to the party right on time with additional security at our heels but everything has been going smoothly. One of the guys from security entered the castle himself to check on the situation of the heist that will occur a few hours later. His name is Leo and gets pissed off at me for constantly humiliating him at every heist.

But that's because like Inspector Nakamori in Kaitou Kid and Inspector Oniyama in Kaitou Joker who are determined to pursue the phantom thieves but don't exactly have the competence to put them in even footing.

Yeah, sometimes I think, where's someone as cool as Detective Conan with the smarts of Sherlock Holmes?

Nevertheless, I'm kinda happy that my alter ego life has started transforming into the phantom thief like in all those animes I watched. A bit of fun and adventure in the normalcy that is my life.

As of right now, I just want to enjoy the party with my gal pals.

"You look fabs in that dress, girl!" Elly squealed.

"You too," I grinned at Elly.

She wore a sky blue dress with emeralds stitched on the sleeves, lip gloss to accentuate the lips, her hair curled and put beautifully, then the strapping silver heels.

Selena wore a velvet dress with a bit of lace for elegance and put her hair up with beautiful clips, not a lot of makeup and good kickass boots. I need to know where she gotten them.

Fiona's, thanks to us, was done well enough, a nature green dress with a red belt and brown boots. Not exactly elegant but she is a commoner and we all made do with it.

If you are wondering why all us girls (except me) knows these types of fashion, then let me enlighten you. First rule of noble girls: fashion is everything. If you don't believe me, read a few medieval books or reincarnation books. They will confirm what I said.

Anyway, we all lounged around with security, CB, Criminal Breaker, law enforcement in this world, in the shadows, finding for any telltale sign of Kaitou Rubin.

CB is an official organization that solves crimes and bring people to justice. Soldiers and guards protect the people. CB finds the offender and put them behind bars.

Good luck with that, he will not be here until a few hours later.

When Alyssa finally arrives at the scene, in an emerald green dress with a diamond headband and cool heels, everyone oohed and aahed at her. Then, her fiance, Prince Red, offers her hand, she simply took it and danced and thus began the celebrations.

People started dancing with others left and right, out of the corner of my eye, Clover and Riana are dancing together, drawing jealous looks from boys and girls alike. Girls love my handsome brother and boys love the mystique in Riana.

Sometimes, I think that they are a couple but when I asked Clover, he told me that Riana was just a friend and I was more important but he blushed a bit. Was it because he does have feelings for Riana or something else...

If it's for me, it's either sis-con or incest and I downright hope it's not the latter. I've read enough books in my former life and I will tell you, no thank you! If anything, I prefer to be asexual, I've no interest in both boys and girls to go far to adultery or marry, thank you very much!

That will be something I hope to overcome. If anything goes wrong, I'll just run and yes, I am a coward. There's a time you need to be brave and a time you need to be a coward.

Now, 3 boys came to my friends asking for a dance. They looked at me, seeing I was the odd one out but I just smiled and mouthed to them, 'Have fun.' So they danced with them while I head to the all familiar route of the dessert table.

Then, a boy came out to me. It was not Alex, but a boy with white blond hair and ice blue eyes that are a bit blackish if you look closer. In the hair, it was more noticeable. He was, of course, handsome and if I were to discern, probably a year older than me because he was a bit taller than Clover but not by too much.

"Edward Luis," he said in a way of introduction. "May I have this dance?"

I arced my eyebrows but the lady in me and I can feel Mom watching me (I've honed a 'Mom' sense for good reason), I accepted and danced away. Deep down, may be instinct, I also knew if I said no, there will be trouble.

As we danced, Edward asked, "So what's your name?" The perfect smile, a gentleman, as expected of the prince of Articuno Kingdom. I know because I read up on the royalty.

"Aurora Fate," I said, "It's my honor to dance with you, Prince Edward."

He just smiled and while we danced, someone came storming up to us. A girl with brown hair and green eyes wearing a candy cane dress with drones hovering over her like cute accessories scrutinized at us and pushed me roughly aside, saying loftily, "It's custom for the betroths to dance together at the first dance of any event," and steered him away from me. Annoyance scrunched Edward's face but I made no comment and headed to the buffet table.

A few people witnessed the moment but as I've made no comment, they didn't either but started some rumor mongering. Someone came up to me who was far more welcome. Alex, who still looks handsome as before and a grimace laced his features.

"Are you OK?" he asked, concerned.

I shrugged, I honestly didn't care and didn't want to start anything. Why should I? I hate drama and will not start it by complaining over a trivial manner as someone pushing me. It wasn't even hard and it did not hurt.

"Fine. But since my dance was interrupted, shall we dance as we talk to each other?" I asked.

Alex smiled and laughed softly, "You are an unusual one, but that's what I like about you," and danced with me as we updated each other about our on goings.

Afterwards, we headed to the buffet table, finally, and ate while we talked some more.

"Alex, what do you mean by 'like' just now?" I asked. Better root out a problem before it grows.

"Well," Alex said calmly, "I like you, that's it. It's not easy living in Hell and going to these places despite having peace between the two realms. Humans are just prejudice about us demons," Alex said, in a sad undertone there, "...but you are very accepting of me, Ro, for who and what I am. And I appreciate it."

I laughed. There was no problem at all. "I appreciate you saying that. Anyway, what are friends for."

From that, I could infer that Alex may be dense about romance or he is just too young. A part of me is worry that this is an otome game and knowing them in reincarnation book, any ending might as well be yandere, thanks to game producers thinking it interesting, and that's just plain cruel. I want an asexual life, thank you very much!

At that point, Edward was walking toward me. He looked distressed in a way and a bit embarrassed. When he was in front of me, he said, "I am very sorry about my fiancee's attitude toward you."

"It's OK, I should have known about that etiquette rule." I was referring to what his fiancee told me. "Who is she, by the way?"

"Suza Deletri from Kingdom Zygarde. We were betrothed just last year," Edward said, he didn't look very happy. "Who are you?" he asked Alex, as if just realizing he was there. Scorn can be seen in his feature after taking in Alex's appearance. It would be a very long time before we get our prejudice over between demons and humans.

"Alex Lye," he told Edward. He could see the scorn and was answering cautiously. Not so dense after all, I remark.

"Edward Luis. What are you doing with Aurora-chan?" he inquired.

"Hanging out with her." Alex replied slowly.

"I was just asking her to dance again since the first dance was so rudely interrupted. Shall we?" Edward was holding his hand toward me.

I looked at Alex and he gave me a tight grin. Edward looked impatient and I knew that it was impolite to refuse him, so I did what I had to.

After that dance, I searched for Alex while Edward was beseeched by Suza unhappily. Not that I care. Not my problem.

I found him with a... fairy. OMG! I think I almost had a nosebleed. She's drop dead cute!

Blond and white hair with sun yellow eyes and a cute smile with dimples. Squeee! My inner childlike girl awed at this mega cutie.

She had the look of innocence and was dress in a sunflower dress in a shape of a ballgown. Infinite adorbs! Her wings behind her were big and beautiful, transparent with a bit of white and decoration on it.

"Hey, Alex," I said to him, "Nice to meet you, I'm Aurora Fate," I said to the fairy.

She looked taken aback of me, probably for such directness. Alex just smiled. A moment later, the fairy answered, "I'm Milan Leah. Nice to meet you too. I met Alex-san here and we just got along so well..."

I smiled and just nodded. "I'm glad of that. Anyway, dancing has worked up my appetite, so I'll be at the buffet. Want to join me?"

"Nope, we were going to dance, are we?" Milan looked at Alex with such innocence and purity in her eyes.

"Of course," Alex said and proffered his hand. Who could have said no to that anyway? I would have kicked Alex if he said no. So I went to the buffet table alone.

Then, a boy with sun kissed blond hair and midnight blue eyes was standing in all his glory. Security rushed past him for how dare he arrived in the middle of a celebration until he showed them their credentials. Then, they suddenly stopped and invited him in pleasantly and brought him to Leo.

Talking flurried after this. I looked at my watch and was shocked that I had half an hour before my heist. I went to the bathroom to summon my clone while I go incognito seeing their last minute defenses for my heist.

While Lia was going to enjoy the rest of the party which she didn't mind (she's my romantic side, wanting to look at the handsome dudes or cute girls. I can be a bit bisexual, depending, and why not, sex is a fluid thing), I'll be stealing a priceless necklace.

There are rumors that the priceless necklace is actually a key to finding 'unimaginable power' and I took up to it, hoping by that, they meant the Arceus Diamonds.

I remembered that I wanted the Arceus Diamonds for escape if ever necessary. Still 6 years old, I don't know whether I really do need it nor any reason to escape, but reading reincarnation books, they are all very... messy.

I hope to find out more about this world than what's written down in the books, but for now, I have a goal to accomplished and I will achieve it.
