Aftermath

Of course, my night could not end just yet. A lot of trouble doing what I'm doing but I look for a peaceful future, not the present.

Lia agreed to continue my part as I disguised myself into a simple person on guard duty for the infamous Black Blood.

The things I do... and the question always pops up, sometimes with Lia, is this worth it?

And then, I'm like 'Yes!' I need to live out my teen dream and travel to all fan universes. Fan girls will be so jealous when I get my fave fiction guys' autographs!

Something me and Lia agreed. The fandom can never be removed!

So endure this for a while until I can live out my dream, tread carefully and have many adventures with a happy ending.

So, I need to do this for the sake of info!

Thankfully, it wasn't all too difficult.

Black Blood was jailed in a small room with only two guards. Which was strange because you kinda expected higher security.

I'm not exactly OP but close enough.

So it was easy to knock out the two guards simultaneously, unlocked the cell with a hairpin (thank you, Internet), remove Black Blood's curse and get him out of there into a clearing, right?

Of course.

Now, Black Blood was staring at me defiantly wondering who the hell I am?

"Who the hell are you?" Took the words right out of my thoughts.

I revealed the Arceus Diamond and his eyes just went wide as he charged at me shouting, "You!"

"Stop."

That was not my voice coming out but a low male sound. I was unafraid, I let it happened.

Black Blood stopped short. His voice was ragged as he let out one word, "Dad?"

"I have possessed the body just to speak with you."

Temporarily, I thought.

And I made sure of it with my willpower and OP enough skills.

Black sounded irritated, "Temporarily. She won't let me posses her completely."

"She?" Black Blood was puzzled.

"It doesn't matter," his father said but I don't know how long I can posses this body if she won't let me possess her completely. But I just wanted to talk to you again. And to give you a message."

"What?" Black Blood asked swiftly and desperately.

"I want you to stop trying to free me."

"What?! Why?!" Black Blood was enraged.

"I never approved of what you did, Blake. The way you kill, steal and just became a ruthless killer... As a father, it hurts me to see you like this," Black said sadly.

"But I did it for you!" Blake shouted.

"And I didn't want it. Please listen to me some more."

Blake looked enraged but he said nothing.

"Your acts for all those thousand years deserve Hell. I don't want you to be there and my host has gave me a good option for your well being."

"Your host? You mean that lowlife phantom thief who stole me from you. How do I know that this isn't a trick from you, Kaitou Rubin?" Blake scowled.

He's got a point but Black was swift with his rebuttal.

"Blake Arcturus Sheldon, when you were 7, you had a bromance with a guy named Adam and it went a bit too far. I cursed you for a day for it."

Blake looked shock, "How? How do you know?"

Is this a reference to the Voice? Dear God, there's somethings that you shouldn't be outrageous with.

"During your teen years, you had a fling with three girls, Miranda, Kaynette and Gwen. You..."

More ref to the Voice or Blake Shelton more like? What the heck?

"Please stop. Before you say anything more embarrassing, Dad. I don't know whether he can hear or not but I don't want your host to hear anymore of my life." Blake said.

Blake continued, "And why do you trust your host so much than your own son?"

"I don't trust her at all but she gave her solemn word and deep down, she's a good girl so I don't believe any harm will befall for you. It's just... what you are doing... it has to stop."

Blake looked really enraged, but the fire in his eyes dissipated some.

"Alright, and after this, I guess we won't see each other again."

Black smiled sadly though under the hood, Blake couldn't see.

"Just trust her. You deserve a new life, a new one a long time ago, and live happily again as you should. But she won't do this for free, she will want something from you. I love you," Black hugged Blake.

"I love you too," Blake said as he returned the hug, tears in his eyes.

Finally they disengaged and Black let go of me. I fell, groaning and muttered, "Finally, it was getting too sappy."

Blake scowled at me. I knew he did not entirely trust me.

"Did you hear everything?"

"Yep," I said, "And Black would also hear my terms and conditions for what I will do."

"Terms and conditions?" Blake asked.

"I will take away your powers and wipe your memory. You will start over at the age of 6 which is the best I can do in these circumstances. In exchange, you will tell me all you know about the Arceus Diamonds and show me the place of the Suicine Trident to be returned."

Blake nodded at all those conditions. He thought for a while and said, "Fine," he fished something. A tablet.

"All the info's in here. To use it, you..."

"Yeah, yeah, I know. But where on Earth did you get this? I'm sure these were not even invented!"

"The criminal underground has their secrets," Blake said smoothly. "Now, do whatever you want."

I took it as a go.

I knocked him unconscious as I checked the stuff from that tablet. Finding everything ,with the help of Black, legit, I decided it was time for the next phase of my plan.

I followed this procedure from a book. Some weird circle ritual and my light powers to finish the job.

The light powers infused with my whispered blessing over Blake as he was shrunken to a 6 year old kid like me, still asleep. A sign of two doves and above a halo emerged above him, blessing him with a good life and good luck.

'I wonder,' Black mused in my head, 'Why 6?'

I telepath in my mind, 'Well, apparently, in the book, when it said about the age thing, I can only turn them into my age.'

'OK, makes sense,' Black said, 'Thank you.'

'You are welcome. But I did this for my own benefit.' I said.

'Yes, but I'm grateful and would do anything for your quest, master.' Black said.

'And don't call me master,' I snapped, 'I hope you keep your promise but first my work is never done.'

I scooped Blake in my arms, 'Well, we can't leave him be here. So do you want me to put him in the orphanage under the name "Blake Shelton"?' I asked.

Truthfully, that bugged me a bit but I didn't let on. And if he becomes a country singer, haha, what a dam coincidence!

'Nah, new life, new name. Hmm... let's call him Sirius Black.'

I almost spluttered but managed to control myself and telepath, 'What? Why?'

Black sounded wistful, 'In the old days, I always looked up at the stars and one always shined so bright, Sirius. And now in a new life, I want my son to shine as bright as the Sirius so the name is good luck and Black because I just want some part of me to be with him.'

I forgotten that Sirius Black was named after a star or constellation but this ref thing is going too far.

'Siriusly, that's a nice name but...'

'Wait,' Black said, 'Did you just make a Sirius pun and but what?'

'Umm... just the name is already taken.'

'Really?' Black mused, 'Fine... How 'bout Libra Black?'

'You are really determined to name him after constellations and your last name in it?' I asked.

'So what? That name hasn't been taken, has it?'

'Nah, Fine. I got work to do.' I said.

Time to tie up the loose ends.

***

It's been a week ever since that incident and a lot has happened.

Black Blood has escaped by the outrage of the CB and disappointment of the gang. For some reason, that foolproof curse of Alex's didn't work and Black Blood was out in the open.

Or so they thought until the day after his escape was known.

At an office of the CB with Leo and the gang there discussing of the breakout, an arrow flew out on the center of the table where they were having their discussion.

It burned and in its place was a large blue trident with coral decor that amplified the feeling of the calm waves and blue seas to the people around but sparked freeing energy that felt powerful.

"The Suicine Trident!" Alyssa exclaimed, "What? How?" Alyssa intended to reach it but Leo swatted her hand away.

"Sorry, but that could be important evidence," Leo said gruffly.

"Evidence? Evidence of what?" Milan asked naively.

"This is the work of Kaitou Rubin. It was his arrow that came out and meaning he was in possession of the trident," Leo said.

"But that's impossible. The Suicine Trident was stolen long ago and no one has seen it for ages. How on Earth could Kaitou Rubin had his hands on it?"

"That's why we need the Trident as evidence to find out what happened."

The gang looked at each other, a thought forming in their minds but in silence, they all agreed, Later.

"What do you think happened?" Milan asked, the most curious of the bunch.

"Hmm..." John mused, "The Suicine Trident has been stolen and missing for centuries. Maybe it just fell into Kaitou Rubin's hands and he returned it as the style of that phantom thief."

"Yeah... but..." Zelda said, "It's just that how could he have found the Trident when generations of people from Kyogre Kingdom couldn't?"

"Probably he stole it from someone," Sloan broke in.

With that, everyone said at the same time, "Black Blood." With that, everyone simultaneously grimaced.

"What does he have to do with my national treasure and how does it connect to Kaitou Rubin?" Alyssa asked the question aloud.

It was a blank. Edward looked at John, "I can see why you like this detective stuff. The problems are frustrating but fun to do and crack a solve on. This stuff is quite addicting, like Sudoku."

"Yeah, I know right," John said, "We can take a solve on it later but what are we going to do about Black Blood. He's still after you guys after all." He addressed the problem that brought them together on this adventure in the first place.

Alex shrugged, "I don't know. We can think of something tomorrow. Overall, it was fun and thrilling doing this stuff with you. I can understand why Kaitou Rubin does his thing. Mostly, I also feel we connected some. Maybe after this, we can hang out some more?"

No one objected to what Alex said. Their brief moment together was thrilling and great. With that said, they parted ways, promising to see each other and hang out more.

It wasn't only after they reached their homelands that they heard more news of what was really going on.

News spread that arrests have been made all over the kingdoms where all of Black Blood's followers were ambushed at a clearing thinking it was a gathering from Black Blood until they met one of the CB's commanders.

That commander said he was given a tip off about this gathering and decided to check it out with reinforcements. It was Police vs. Criminals pt. 3 but the police won and were able to capture all the followers and they were interrogated.

Black Blood was nowhere to be found. Spies of the CBs and criminals alike have no idea where he was found.

Then, someone found a dead body.

It was a woman at the Zygarde Kingdom who found the corpse after a stroll to the forest for relaxation.

She didn't get any relaxation.

When the body was found, they confirmed it was Black Blood's. A slip of paper in his pockets showed the whereabouts of his hideouts which were raided the next day.

This took about few days.

The gang were mystified of this bunch of events but were relieved they did not have to deal with Black Blood. The citizens of all the kingdoms knew of their activities and were slightly reassured that their future may be in good hands by these young people although their parents scolded them for their recklessness.

Overall, the Black Blood case has resolved peacefully with enough benefits and the gang proving their worth to the world. Bigger things may come up but the citizens had no doubt that they might expect great things.

On a completely unrelated note, a boy was found on the doorstep of an orphanage of Zygarde Kingdom. A slip of paper said, "His name's Libra Black. Please take care of him."

The boy would wake up with absolutely no memory except for the name and age but he was well taken care of along with making many friends within the first few days.

The orphanage found out no powers from Libra but he didn't despair. Instead they found out he was a good martial artist who trained relentlessly for the lack of magic and his weapons were gold knuckles. However, Libra was found to be a more peaceful and quiet person and the adults at the orphanage sensed a good life in him...

Now, in the Mindscape...

"Wow, I can't believe you did all that," Lia exclaimed.

"It was nothing. I just wanted the situation to be wrapped in a neat bow," I said.

It was a week after I helped Blake escape and gave him a new life. In the Mindscape, I was scouring all the info as much as I possibly could to find the last item for my search of the rest of the Arceus Diamonds: The Pisces Bracelets.

"Nothing?" Black mused. "In one night, you raided all of Blake's hideouts for the info, stole the Suicine Trident and faked a Black Blood message for his followers to gather in one place where that commander could arrest them, faked a body of Black Blood so everyone believed him to be dead and you say it was nothing?"

I shrugged. All of that was necessary. The story line would be messy if I didn't do it. I'm just organised that way.

Anyway, Black is usually at the Mindscape with me and Lia. Nothing could be done about that but at least he couldn't hear the author like we can.

The info I was scouring was all the stuff I raided from Black Blood's hideout. I discarded the info of Lost Freedom but anything to find the last missing piece for the Arceus tracker and anything about the rest of the Diamonds.

"Sigh..." Black said, "Whatever you say, but you are still determined to find the Arceus Diamonds even after everything I told you?"

I looked back at him with a defiant stare.

He explained to me about the one thing of the Arceus Diamonds that gave reason why so many people failed to achieve their power.

They never made any connection with the Diamonds themselves. Once you are connected with the Diamonds themselves, only then can you unleash their power. That is why so many people failed.

Because I have helped Black get his son a new life, he made a connection with me.

Now, I need all 9 of 'em.

And I thought, 'Alright, fine by me.'

It wouldn't be a true adventure if I didn't try.

Hopefully, there's no drama...

"So, you are still going to do it," Black sighed again, "Well, I did warn you. I already told you everything so I still don't understand why you don't tell me what you are planning with us?"

"Well... for a week, you are certainly getting chummy with me and you are acting like a little kid," I observed, "Anyway, that's for me to know and for you to find out."

Black gave me his signature glares but you get used to it after a few times and he said, "Fine."

"Anyway," Lia broke in, "I think you'll have time to discuss this later, because you are going to wake up soon," she told me.

"Oh, right. My birthday..."

Once I wake up, it will be my seventh birthday and I can finally meet all my friends again. Plenty of catching up to do...

And to the morning sun I woke.

<End of Arc 1: New Beginnings.>

-Wait! Since when do we have arcs?-

<Since just now. I feel it more organised that way.>

-(trying not to roll eyes)-

<I saw that! Next arc: You Are My Flashlight.>

-Wait! Why the heck are you going Jessie J on me? And how many refs are you going to make?-

<(Just smiles)>

-Ugh, and how long will this arc take? It's been like 6 years for the first one and 22 chapters.-

<...>

-I hate when you do that.-
