Memories
The reaction Jesse got wasn't what he imagined.
Everyone in the room screamed. "Chara! She's in this?! That demonic girl?! She'll kill us all!" everybody panicked. "Now now, settle down!" Napstablook sighed. "Wait, you know about Chara?" Petra was surprised. "Princess Frisk and Prince Asriel told their tale. Chara is a murderer! If she is doing this as well, then she needs to be outta here!" Napstablook declared. "Actually, we're going to Asgore's old castle to stop her and CassieRose. Oh..." Olivia remembered the charms on their wrists. She nodded at Petra. The Warrior stood in front of everyone.
"Queen Toriel... is gone. She died to protect us, and therefore in her honour we will take Cassie and Chara off the throne, and put this little guy on it!" Petra waved towards Flowey, who had slept through everything. "It's Prince Asriel in a different form. Once we find a way to turn him back, he will rule you!" Jesse announced. "Wait... I will?!" Flowey shot up from his nap. Everyone cheered "Asriel! Asriel! Asriel!". "You seven really are heroes! Therefore, I think it's only right that I show you something very important..." Napstablook lead them down into the basement.
He flipped a switch under a mat. A door appeared in the cellar. "Go in!" Napstablook urged. Jodie prepared to kick the door down, but Lukas just opened it, giving her a funny look. Inside was... a lot of dust. "What the? Do you ever sweep in here?" Jesse gasped. Jodie elbowed him in the ribcage. "Idiot. When monsters die, they turn to dust. I thought you saw that with Toriel?" she spat. "Well I'm sorry! I guess I was too busy trying not to get axed by Cassie!" Jesse said sarcastically. The gang wandered around. "So it's basically a graveyard, in a way?" Olivia shuddered. "Yes. It is. At a monster's funeral, they scatter the dust on something they love, and the one who passed away's spirit inhabits those items. My cousins are... were... inhabiting dummies." Napstablook explained. "So, if I were to turn to dust, you would scatter me on something precious to me?" Axel liked the thought for some reason. It felt... sentimental. "Humans don't turn to dust, but if you were a monster, yes!" Napstablook nodded. "But... my friends turned to dust..." Aiden realised. "They did? How...?" Napstablook's eyes widened. "I don't know. Maybe I'll find out soon." Aiden shrugged.
Olivia scouted around. "The dust... why isn't it on anything?" she enquired. Napstablook looked sad. "We didn't have time for proper funerals. So we keep the dust here, and one day, when that evil is defeated, we will hold a festival in those monster's honour." he explained. The gang immediately wished they collected Toriel's dust. Olivia picked up a red scarf. "Who does this belong to?" she asked. "Well you're curious! That scarf belonged to the great Papyrus. He fought for us. He was a friendly, innocent and fun skeleton, but he had to toughen up when the invasion began. Quite sad, really, because he died in a fight. We honour him. He saved a lot of us. He even picked a fight and tied with Fallen Undyne." Napstablook's eyes lit up. Olivia looked at Axel. "Heh, it would look nice on you!" she put it around his neck. "Thanks!" Axel smiled. Papyrus. Why was that name so familiar? Distant past life memory, maybe.
"Captain Napstablook! You must come immediately! It's urgent!" a small yellow dinosaur monster wearing a helmet came crashing in. "What is it, Lieutenant Monster Kid?" Napstablook turned serious. "It's your cousin." Lt. Monster Kid replied.
Everyone dashed outside. In the middle of town, another robot stood. They had black hair, but all the purple they had before had turned red. "Beautys and gentlebeautys! I am looking for my cousin Napstablook, who took shelter in this town! Queen CassieRose has requested he comes forth! He is under arrest for leading a secret rebellion! Also, I have an opportunity! I am searching for a new talent to fight- er, perform with me for the Queen at her celebration of taking down the corrupt Toriel Dreemurr!" Fallen Mettaton announced. Napstablook couldn't believe it. That black-hearted queen had foolishly turned his cousin into an enemy. And the nerve to make him find someone to be her puppet as well! "Tell your idiot of a queen that I will never surrender!" he yelled. "You're making this harder than it has to be, darling!" Mettaton waved on Fallen Sans. "Oh crap... we're screwed..." Aiden sighed. "Run! I'll distract them!" Napstablook urged them forth. "Wait!" Axel remembered he was still wearing Papyrus' scarf. "Keep it! It suits you!" Napstablook smiled, then ran to fight. Everyone in town either ran for their lives or sided with Napstablook. Snowdin was thrown into complete chaos. Mettaton commanded the Queen's troops to march, but then he eyed someone. A blue soul. Long black hair. Chocolate skin.
And ballet shoes.
Mettaton would find her, he just knew it. She had that rhythm in her feet, even when she ran. She was elegant. She was pretty. Yet so insecure. She just needed her big break. Her chance to shine. And Mettaton would be that person to give it to her. No matter what it takes.
"Keep going! We need to head to Waterfall!" Jodie called back. "Wait, you know where we're going?" Petra cried. "She's right, you know. Waterfall is our next destination." Aiden agreed with Jodie. Everyone dashed away from the once cosy little town, now a huge battleground. It was scary how quickly Cassie and Chara's rage could transform a place. But they would stop it. They knew they would.
Seeing people risk their lives so that you can save them...
You are driven by PERSEVERANCE
You affirm your INTEGRITY.
You recollect your PATIENCE.
You hold onto your KINDNESS.
You are fueled by JUSTICE.
You blaze with BRAVERY.
You are filled with DETERMINATION.
Then they realised they now had headphone charms on their bracelets.
